Sonali in Warwick

Ordered from Sonali a few times in the past for delivery, and a few times they have missed items , such as my salad with chicken tikka main and the yoghurt dip that goes along with it. They have forgotten this a few times now and also the food is only ever slightly warm. I won’t be ordering from them again !! It’s expensive when your aren’t even getting the full meal !!

Not worth the money…very small trays for how much it cost…cold and not very appealing to eat

We always order take away from Sonali and are rarely disappointed. Tonight though we ordered again. All the food was lovely but my partner ordered a chicken tikka main and was not happy with it. It came in a very small foil container with only six or seven bits of chicken. No way was that a main course portion. We couldn’t ring as we were having a pet emergency and have been out all evening at the vets. I looked for an E mail but none available so had no option tonight but to leave a review. As regular customers we found this very disappointing.

I don’t know if it was a different cook tonight but there was a lot of water in my sauce which ruined my plate of food. The chips were cold and only half a portion. The naan bread was pretty much uncooked and the madras sauce wasn’t spicy. I have used this take away for years but it is going down hill so may have to find somewhere new.

Meat was dry and naan bread wasnt nice....

I don’t eat Indian cuisine often, but when I do this is the only place I order from. The food is always piping hot and very tasty. I have the same curry and naan bread every time and it never changes, so I always know I’m in for a tasty meal! Thanks!

I've used sonali for years but the last 2 meals have been very disappointing. Tasteless and the sauce for the butter chicken is not creamy, its very lumpy made up mainly of tomatoes and onion chunks. I'm not convinced it was was butter chicken either time unless the recipe has changed drastically. Both nan breads were undercooked and doughy this evening. Unfortunately it all went in the bin

We have tried all of the restaurants in Kenilworth and this is easily the best for takeaway or delivery. Food is always delivered in the timeframe promise and is the most authentic in our opinion. There are some nicely spiced dishes but they will cook to your requirements. Always friendly

Our favourite go-to for Indian Cuisine and we have been customers for decades. We have it delivered and the food is consistently good and arrives piping hot. Unfortunately, Sonali have recently pumped up their pricing by about 10% and we no longer consider it represents value for money. Cost of local delivery is now £2.50 which is excessive - our Chinese meals are delivered by Full House for £1.30. Another issue is that the food takes at least an hour to be delivered. For the price of the Sonali takeaway we can now dine out in a restaurant and enjoy table service. It's a no-brainer.

Sonali is the best curry in the midlands

Sonali is by far the best Indian takeaway for miles. In fact it’s better food than in any of the Indian restaurants in Kenilworth/Warwick/Leamington Spa area. We have been using Sonali for 4 years and have never ever had a bad experience. The food is always hot, delicious and fresh. Do yourself a favour and try this place..believe me..you will NEVER go anywhere else again.

Tuesday night is always a worrying time to order a takeaway. Head chef will often be having a well earned break and well you never know how fresh everything is going to be. Worry no more. I ordered a chicken tikka and salad and a keema nan, and they were fantastic. Fresh, hot, succulent and spicy and lots of it. The keema was well stuffed and there was a goodly amount of chicken with fresh salad and a nice amount of yogurt dressing. It was everything I wanted it to be. I shall worry no more about being tired and hungry on a Tuesday.

Very late and poor quality food. Every other time I have ordered there it has been fine. Must have been very busy tonight.

Fantastic food the only thing I would say was disappointing was the amount of meat in the curry 9 pieces of which 3 were tiny was disappointing

We have been using this takeaway for years and never disappointed until the last couple of weeks. The chicken has been hard and tasteless and tonight we had a nan which was completely burnt on one side which had to be thrown away. Have you changed your chef? Think we will have to try somewhere else.

Ordered a takeaway few nights ago, was really disappointed. We had 3 curries and they all looked the same and tasted the same even though they were supposed to be different types of curries and the chicken was not freshly cooked, tasted like they had been previously cooked, it was tough and stringy. And one of the curries was really salty! Should have gone to different takeaway.

Excellent Indian cuisine, quick and efficient service on the phone as this is a takeawy-only service, average prices for a takeaway meal. There is a hidden menu if you know what you want!!!! Closed Mondays

Ordered from here as the Indian Edge didn’t have any king prawns and was hugely disappointed. Tough naan bread, small super tough king prawns and really runny sauce that lacked flavour. Certainly won’t be going back.

Ordered a takeaway for the whole family, ordered a combination dish as the kids can’t handle spices too much, it was absolutely perfect, as soon as I had finished ordering they said it would take 40 minutes was here in under 30, fantastic reliable service. The attention to detail for big orders is great. Even ordered on a busy xmas last year when it was snowing and the food turned up in a Range Rover cooked to perfection as always. Best Indian in Kenilworth.

Have lived in Kenilworth all my life, and have always used Sonali for deliveries or takeaway. I have never had a bad meal from them in all the many years that I have used them, and same goes for all my friends in Kenilworth too! Top marks folks :-)

We have been using the Sonali for a good few years now and have never had a bad meal. This beats all the Indian takeaways & restaurants in Leamington and Warwick hands down. If we went out to eat we would go to the Indian Edge which is also in Kenilworth, which is (in our opinion) the best Indian restaurant in Warwickshire but unfortunately they don’t deliver therefore as the dishes from the Sonali are of a similar quality it’s our takeaway of choice. The only time we have ever had a late delivery was when the Kenilworth horse fair was on which was understandable.

I ordered a lamb dish, it was tasteless and the questionable meat was chewy and cold, I ended up going to the chip shop on school lnae

Ordered our meal by phone. Asked for delivery (first time ever) and the meals arrived within the time stated. Good portion size and very tasty. Overall, good value. Will be using this service again.

Went to collect. Two currys, two rice and nan bread, £18. Currys (mekhani and a korma) were excellent as was nan bread. Service was a little slow due to phone calls.

Regular customer. Don't post a menu because you can't be bothered to wait. Ordered meal by phone and never left my house. Waited patiently with no real attempt to deliver. No missed calls. Just a menu. Never mind. Next place. Thank you.

Sonali is by far the best curryhouse in kenilworth. All their curries are full of flavour and such depth. Only down fall is your chip portion size is a bit puny for the price

My friends and I came here literally by chance while walking along the road looking for a take-away place. The staff were great - friendly and fast. The food was wonderful. One of the things I ordered was Sag Paneer and the paneer cheese was massive!!!! I was in heaven!! loved it! definitely use again!!

What a joke - I ordered a take away it took 1:50 to arrive after being told it would be an hour. I phoned the restaurant after an hour and a half of waiting they said that the food had left the restaurant and would be 4 or 5 minutes it was another 20 before it arrived (therefore had been driven around for half an hour). 10 minutes after the phone call to query where the food was I tried reach the restaurant again after 44 calls I was unsuccessful, the driver couldn't reach any one at the restaurant either. Food sent back to the restaurant with a request for the manager to call. This was a total farce!!!! Don't waste your time even bothering to place an order.

Made extra effort to deliver at Stonleigh showground to our lorry in the middle of a hard standing which was greatly appreciated. Thank you. Food was delicious. The combination dishes on the menu is a great idea.

We regularly use the Sonali and always ask for our food to be delivered. It usually takes around 45minutes to arrive and is always excellently presented. Balti, Bhoona, Jalfresi and Dakashwari are our favourite dishes.
