Rosa's Thai Leamington Spa in Warwick

I generally don’t leave bad reviews, but I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Karak Chai in Leamington Spa. The service was not up to the mark. The staff came across as overconfident and unprofessional – she wasn’t even wearing a hair net and had her hair almost completely open, which is concerning in a food environment. We tried to order a few items, but most of them were out of stock, which was frustrating. But the most disappointing part was the chai – the one thing Karak Chai is known for. We were told it would take 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 45 minutes to arrive. Overall, it was not the experience I expected from a place with such a strong reputation. Very disappointed.

Disappointing! We order regularly online and in the shop as food usually excellent. Last 2 delivery orders have been tepid or cold. The final order had been put in 2 hours in advance and still arrived 20mins late. Good flavour, but cold.

Good chai. They also do tasy cakes!

Table was not clean coffee was cold we all had something but as soon as we reach home all had bad stomach will not go again

The food was excellent, the service was great, and the waiters were very kind. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Leamington Spa!

This was very good - though somehow not quite as good at the one in Rugby! I will definitely be back for more though... Restaurant was a lot bigger than the one in Rugby which made it feel less cosy.

It's nice place to have from Bfast to dinner.

We were a group of four having lunch and our experience was outstanding. The attention from the staff (especially Lucy) was brilliant, they were friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful and flavoursome, and we didn’t need to wait long for it to be served. I will definitely be returning.

1st time I visited with some friends. Food was really good. Correct sized portions and we didn’t feel uncomfortable. Their coffee was really good and I was able to request it made with less sugar. Friendly staff. The only down side if there is one, is that they do not serve any alcohol. And closes a bit earlier than the rest of the places in leamington. But the food was great.

Didn't like the vadapav. It was not fried fully. very much disappointed

Nice Hot Chocolate but the Chicken tikka naan was terrible. The cafe was looking tired with tables not cleared. The naan was soggy and chewy and the chicken tikka filling was slimy, lukewarm and tasteless. Perhaps I chose the wrong meal.

Incorrect take away delivery for the third time. Cannot fault the food but three times now that have messed up our order. First time meat in vege dish, second missing items and this time completely the wrong order .. hope someone is enjoying our for courses somewhere. Inept and you cannot get through in phone either so given up and won’t use again and do not recommend for delivery- sorry.

Dodgy chicken tom yum. Sent back replaced with chicken curry. Food was pretty bland and realised a brand. Go to Wofon around the corner 10 x better. Tried to charge us 12% service charge on top. For nearly 50 quid....very pooooor

Tea is almost always cold. And customer service is equal to none. 100% of the time you have to ask them for cutlery.

Great proper Thai food served by friendly staff. We had the £12 lunchtime specials, which were amazing value and really tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, Lucy was great. Decent priced wines. Will definitely come back!

The atmosphere is nice and the place is beautifully decorated. There are plenty of options to choose from the menu. All the food I tried so far from them was tasty!

Not just Karak Chai aka Strong tea, there are a host of things served. Hot chocolate is also good. You can also feast on appetizers and light meals. The ambience is quite good. Edit: (reducing 1 star) Post my last visit, where the chai served was kinda very strong, despite requesting for extra milk to put in, but the kitchen denied, though the counter staff was kind. Trying another indian chai outlet..

Great food at an affordable price. Beautiful flavours and the most delicious Teas and Coffees

On entering the cafe it was lovely and warm. Ordered the breakfast omelette with beans and parantha, and chai. Sadly, the oily ready made paranthas and stale chai let the whole experience down, so will not be visiting again!

Surprised to get only paper cups for tea, have to go to the counter for service. More of a takeaway place.

Disgusting don't waste your money here

Lovely place to grab a quick and reasonable priced balanced meal. I'm gluten free and the staff were very helpful to accommodate dietary needs and explain what what suitable for me to choose. Lighting was a bit overwhelming but the food and service was great!

Fab venue for relaxing cup of Karak Chai. Decent sized portions of food, which is truly excellent and great to try new dishes.

Nice place to have indian snacks and tea. A bit quiet but we went on a monday afternoon.

I am ringing since 7:30 and the phone is busy all evening. This is not great at all as clearly someone has disabled calls to Karak chai leamington.

The keema and parathas are great, however every time I order the samosa cone I always get the punjabi samosas. I put it in the notes that I want the normal ones not the punjabi but they only read the notes a third of the time. What’s the point of having the two different options?

Karak chai heavy, pure Indian masala chai. Momos just tried average only. Chips and chicken dips are good. Parking street parking only I saw(Ringo)

The timing is 9.30 to open and it’s not even open you call the number and it’s constantly busy. It’s 9.45. 😡

Everytime I come back to my hometown I love checking out the new restaurants. So nice to have a chai place in Leamington now. The Karak chai is amazing and I love they do a sugar free option without nasty sweeteners added instead! Food is really nice but portions are on the small side for some dishes.

The food was not good, very average. Do not get the cheese paratha! So bland and is not a paratha, it's just a bit of flat tortilla like roti wrapped in bland cheese. Overall the service was not good as we had to ask for cutlery 3 times.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The Tomyumkung noodle was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

A meal of rice or noodles or noodles costs about 12 pounds per person and tastes good .I recommend Asian people to have a nice meal here

The ambience is great, the prices are okay for the food portions. I found the Nan bread too dry and they serve too much rice over the chicken tikka, making the food too dry though. Overall, I would visit again.

I visit this place each time when I miss vadapav, also much recommended for a quick chai! They also serve the best nonveg thali.

Had lunch there. We just walked in and we were seated straight away. Service was good. Food came very quickly. The curries was nice. Naan was fresh. The paratha felt like it was frozen. Not sure all the food are made fresh. They only have a desi breakfast. Omelette only. No option for fried egg. Overall if you fancy a quick tasty lunch while shopping then probably good option

Really laid-back atmosphere and vibey interior. The food was good and there are a varied range of options (the ones I had were well-cooked, filling and flavourful). The drink I had (the Limbu Berry) was refreshing and slightly sweet while not being overwhelming and the mango ice cream was creamy with a nice strong flavour.

Unfortunately, the coffee was missing from our breakfast order, which put a bit of a dampener on the whole meal (which could have been great otherwise).

I’d avoid this place lacks consistency. Ordered amongst other things the lamb Rogan Josh. At nearly 4£ more then in the restaurant what we received was 3 pieces of minuscule meat, tons of rice smothered in curry obviously to disguise the lack of meat. I have ordered this dish before so know how it should be portion wise. Charlatans.

I want karak chai many times to try variety of foods .. The food is tasty but the portion of food is very small .. As per the money we paid food portion is very low

Came in today, desserts and drink were disappointing for indian food but to top it off the service was incredibly poor and ruined the experience. Our server was very rude and dismissive, the restaurant was almost empty so It didnt make sense how impatient and insolent he was, quite unfortunate considering how good this shop used to be.

I do like the place but the price it a bit rich. Sort that out and I'll probably be a regular. Also some of the items on the menu are hit and miss

Not good, we had paratha with this dish and it upset my tummy, it was like dip in oil, portion is smallest you can think, :(

I’ve been to a few Karak Chaii branches but this one in Leamington M is one of the best I’ve been too. Their staff are nice and friendly and the shop itself was clean and atmosphere was lovely. The food was piping hot, (despite it being a full cafe) and delicious, flavours were lovely!! Thank you Arbab.. he was very helpful and friendly! Will be back again and deffo reccomend it to everyone :)

I come here every couple of weeks, such a nice atmosphere; warm, friendly staff and great food every time I go. Really enjoy their bhel puri and samosas as a late-night meal with some chai after a long workday.
