We used to use this curry house a lot. Unfortunately, the place has changed owners many times, and the food is not the same. The price has gone up, and the quality of the food has gone down! Won't be using any more.

Not terribly impressed. Naan was good main dish was lacking in meat (Chicken) and it was pretty tough. Maybe I was just unlucky.

So today 16/04/2022 yet again another very hot very tasty curry couldn't fault this what so ever. Chicken tikka pathia & Chicken tikka masala. This should be your first choice of takeaway. Order from the website and get a discount rather than going through just eat. 8/12/2022 Just had Spicy Chicken Tikka cooked with garlic green chilli and olive oil is to die for, New to the menu I think and I can't get enough of it.

I've used Sompting Spice for a few years now and everytime the food has been Fantastic,I have tried other Indian restaurants in my area of Lancing but none come even close to Sompting Spice. I get Pathia 90% of the time and is cooked beautifully full of flavour chicken is cooked to perfection. And yesterday being the 8/12/22 I had Spicy Chicken Tikka cooked with garlic green chilli and olive oil just wow you've gotta give this a try if you like a bit of Spice then you'll love this.

DO NOT EAT from this scam of a place! Shocking food. Shocking service. Ordered paneer got cheddar.. when I questioned this I was told I didn’t understand Indian food, which is odd given we are an Indian family! I was told that if I don’t like it I don’t need to come back! Wow! Amazing service and food.. please, if you understand anything about Indian food or customer service .. move on!!! P.s it’s one star because I have no option to give none!

Had a delivery delivered, took over an hour and food tasted stale. Popadoms weren’t great and rice was over cooked.

This is not a takeaway to miss out on! Everything was so full of flavour and tasted so fresh!. Rice was fluffy and soft, curry was packed with what it should be and breads was so soft

Excellent friendly delivery, poppadoms and onion salad spot on, pilau rice perfect, chicken in the tikka masala was lovely but the sauce itself was very weird, must have had more sugar per 100ml than coca cola! Will be back but definitely a different curry next time.

Best prawn purree by far. So good in fact that we travelled over from Worthing especially just to pick it up.

My favourite place for Indian food in the area. There are other places closer to me but the short drive is well worth it. Fast, friendly service and the food is very flavoursome. I just wish they were a bit more flexible when it comes to delivering to single people. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra, but this doesn't seem to an option. Just like other takeaways.

I’m a pain of a customer. I never know what I want and I’m sure they are quite busy watching me taking forever! Liton and his colleagues are superb. Customer service is incredible. They tell me the best options and it’s hot and great food. I pick my takeaway from the restaurant. We have just had a Rogan gush and chicken tikka marsala from Sompting Spice and they were the best curries we've ever eaten. The quality taste amount of food were great. Wow wow wow the food tonight was absolutely fantastic thank you guys 5 stars highly recommend

Very good curry,very good service all good, have used other curry houses in lancing all seem to over flavour curries no need to,good taste is better than too strong taste.

Totally amazing curry yet again, we had a big order this time as was with our parents, the staff on the phone were great and even called back to check how we wanted one of the meals, so much there and left feeling like you had eaten well. We travel to see family this way and to also have curry from here, we don’t even have curry in the area we live because nothing beats sompting spice curry.

Really disappointed after reading lots of good reviews. Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive. When it did, the naan and Chapatti were undercooked and the onion bahjis were raw. The restaurant were running a promotional offer with another company and I think they were likely overwhelmed by the response. This offered seemed to be at a detriment to the food and long wait for delivery.

Had lovely tasty curry takeaway for years but unfortunately got severe food poisoning from a chicken curry requiring hospital treatment. Tried to get environmental health to investigate but they were not interested in doing anything even though I had half of the curry in the fridge. Needless to say we won't be ordering again from here.

We had a takeaway from this place today and we enjoyed every little bits. I had lamb naga and it was full of tasty flavours. I pinched a little bit of biryani that my wife was having, and it was very aromatic. Food was freshly made for sure and it wasn't oily like many other places. Delivery arrived on time with 2 free poppadoms, onion salad and the best mint yoghurt sauce we have ever tasted

Best curry house around! We tried this as it only around the corner to us and we are so glad we did! We loved it so much we went back the following week and will be going back again for sure.

I have received my order. This has to be the worst curry I have ever tasted. The sauce tasted like it came out of a jar and the masala had no taste and absolutely no spice or heat. It was ready in 10 minutes which should have been a warning. Never again.

Was a very nice meal but we w were missing one naan bread after ordering 2 we only received one. It was very busy in there this evening.

Had a takeaway from them last night, ordered through Just Eat. Never had 1 from Sompting Spice before, it was awesome. I had garlic chilli chicken masala, depth of the sauce was beautiful, loads of garlic & green finger chillies. Hubby had Lamb Madras, he said it was great, hot tasting and deep in flavour, just how it should be, and the lamb was tender.Have to say it really was a lovely meal and we will definitely use Sompting Spice again very soon. Compliments to the chef, thanks for a smashing meal.

Outstanding, the best Indian food by far, comparing Brighton, and Worthing. The pilau rice is light and delicate, the curries are full of flavour and just spicy enough. As a "Come Dine With Me" winner, and an aficionado of Indian food, I rate Sompting Spice above all the others. If you find a better Indian meal in Sussex please let us know!

Good food sometimes however can be rushed and not as food

Heard bad reviews.. mainly about wait time of around 2 hours (day of the week not specified) and I think it's through these delivery services like hungry house and just eat. Is it those companies or Sompting Spice that have the long wait time? So thought I'd order for collection (Thursday). I was told 20 minutes. It was on time. 10% off if you collect also. Very yummy food!!! Lamb a tad too dry but chicken was delicious. I'd visit again.

I am happy to drive further from my home to buy here. Excellent friendly service and the food is so flavoursome. My favourite is the vegetable dansak. A good variety of veg, very tasty and spicy. Not just hot.
