I ring 20 minutes before close and they answered and said what would you like after talking I said I’ll ring you back literally 4 minutes later I said can I go ahead with the order and they hung up on me twice!! What a shame food is nice but they are so so rude for the money you pay for a curry I’d rather eat fish fingers if that’s what you have to put up with for a simple curry these days

Came here for a charity night and it was brilliant. Despite being super busy, everything came out correct and hot. All food was great. Will be back.

Great curries. You can bring your own booze, no corkage fee. You can book the restaurant for larger numbers for birthdays etc. They do the banquet meals for £20 per person, that's one starter, one mains and a side plus rice or nan.

Great food. Amazing meal deal on a Monday and Tuesday night for £19.95 per head. Starter,main,side,naan,poppadoms.

Ordered a take away this evening, missing nan bread, somosa was wet and greasy very dissapointing, avoid!!

Four of us visited on a Sunday. The food, as usual, was excellent. The price was very good. You take your own alcohol so the cost is kept down, which is important these days

Not sure that I want everyone to know about this gem of a restaurant! Fantastic food served by a courteous and professional manager. Best curry house in Sussex, just keep this between ourselves so we can still get in. 😉

I took 2 old friends (both in their eighties) on a Monday for an early dinner (6pm). My first visit (they had both been here before). Helen was pleased with her Chicken Passanda (hooray!) whilst Alan grimaced eating his King Prawn Alcoa’s which was much hotter than he anticipated. Not the restaurant’s fault of course. I had meat samosas as a starter which were hard and stale. The accompanying salad was good. My main of lamb tikka balti was surprisingly bad. The lamb was really tough and the balti sauce was a ‘sludge’. The accompanying keema fried rice (albeit a pretty meagre portion) was fantastic! All told I was pretty disappointed. I really wanted to like this place! Taking your own wine (no corkage) is great. Ali was the only waiter on duty. It looked busy for a Monday night and that guy didn’t stop. Sadly it made it all feel a bit frenetic. Might give it a go again but I’m not in any rush……

Food was not great. The sauces to the poppadoms were so strange, I've never tried anything like it. One of a kind but not in a good way. The curry's were okay nothing spectacular. Rice was ment to be included with the meal says on there menu how ever we got charged 7.90 and for 4 poppadoms and sauces they charged us 7.70 looking at their menu now the most we should have paid is £3.60 You can't get alchol here which was a first for us in a curry house not sure what we thought tbo When we asked to keep the bill receipt he was so reluctant. We now know why! We have Prof of over chargment. 2 curry's 2 rice a narn and 4 poppadoms 46.30 😯🧐 Staff here was also not cheery which is also a first for a curry house, normally the complete opposite. Avoid we came away really disappointed 😞

Food is great , vegetable curries are really good if you’re a veggie. Bombay potatoes were one of the best I’ve had

Ordered a take away at 6.10 and arrived cold at 7.35. Cold food so sent back with driver.

Great service, amazing food, decent portion sizes, by far the best curry restaurant we have been to around Sussex. We continue to come here every 2 weeks. Thoroughly recommend this place.

AVOID or it will cost you dearly. Second time this has happened. When ordering a take away they have used my card details and my partners and taken hundred from our accounts. Scammers and thrives, and I have been using them many many years.

We had my brothers 60th Birthday Do lastnight with 30 people. What a great success mainly made by the Do itself but certainly the great food and staff which contributed to the evening. Thank you

Went with 4 friends on Saturday night, 7.30 booked table for, got starters at 9pm.still hadn't ordered main meal at 9.45..decided to leave..staff really didn't care !!

Absolutely first class service. They only asked for a small deposit before and I was able to leave the ballon and cake with them. They arranged seating for 18. They looked after the birthday cake until after dinner (banquet meals at £20 per head on a Saturday evening. One starter, one side, one main with rice or Nan of your choosing each. They brought the cake out with the candles lit to us singing ‘Happy Birthday to you’. Everyone said the food was excellent. We never felt rushed to end the night so as people left at different times and waited for taxis etc this was another plus to the generous customer service. They are not far from Lancing seafront and railway station (about 10 minutes walk). You can bring your own booze which obviously makes for a much cheaper night out. They provide glasses and don’t charge to open bottles etc, another plus for a great venue. I’m guessing capacity for about 30 seats max. Prithi Raj, Lancing is a win win!

Always love going here for a catch up with friends. Never disappoints. The food is plentiful and really fresh. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Really like that it's a bring-your-own drink restaurant as it makes it such a reasonable meal. Can't wait to return

Busy Saturday night but got good service and food came to our table of 10 within a reasonable time. Food was plentiful and tasty.

Had a table for 10, service was good although the restaurant was full. Food came out pretty much all together. The portions are generous and lots of choice. As you bring your own alcoholic drinks and there is corkage charge it makes a big difference to your final bill.

Had a takeaway today ordered for 5.30 and just as the clock ticked over to 5.30 the doorbell rang and they delivered. The food was excellent as it always is. Staff friendly and very polite whether it's on the phone or in person. Only downside was their ordering system was so slow tonight I gave up and rang them with my order. It was a gorgeous meal and far to much to eat

Ordered from this idian @ 17:30 it got delivered at 19:00, it was cold, phoned them back up to complain, and they said they would have another order out to us with 20/25 minutes, after an hour still no indian, so phoned them back up, and they said that they don't have many delivery driver's, they would refund me, but as a good will gesture we can have the delivery that it on its way for free, its now 20:50 nearly 2 hours of me originally complaining, and we are still waiting. We Ordered this through just eat. So to my acknowledgement, they don't have to accept the orders if they don't have any drivers. I won't be ordering from here again, as they are full of lies & send cold food.

I had Lamb massalam. "Chefs special"! The meat was as Tough as old boots! Incredibly salty sauce and little of it. Others has disappointing meals too. My sons Dhansak was just liquid sauce lacking flavour. Miserable waiter. No ambience whatsover. A woeful experience! At least you can bring your own drinks! You'll need them!

3 hours for delivery, food cold and all leaked in bag, awful customer service

Food is extremely oily, the restaurant must have started using cheaper chicken because it was fatty and chewy. Been coming here for 15 years but I guess with the new ownership they are not setting the same high standard in ingredients and cooking as the previous owner's, time to move on and find somewhere else.

Ordered a takeaway and they forgot to put my order, when called to ask for missing items staff made me feel like i am lying and very rude. And the food was not up to the mark overall disappointment

Not a nice meal out, poppadoms was stale obviously from yesterday, chicken chat was mediocre at best, staff where rude and miserable. We have been there a few times but this was the absolute wort. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AGAIN. Absolute rip off for over £90 aswell.

Unbelievably bad. Rice ok. Vegetable shahi so sweet disguised with chilli. Takka Dahl sweet edge. Half of family are Indian and are appalled by cheap ingredients not even the right spices . This is not a question of cost it is a question of taste! Your passanda packed with sugar should be a dessert.

Great choice of Indian food at reasonable prices,good service and the big bonus is to take your own alcoholic drinks which is a great saving.

Several visits to this restaurant and the food gets better and better. Particularly recommend the deal available on Sunday and Thursday including any starter, side dish, main course, rice and naan excellent value at £17.50. Good service and you can bring your own drink which keeps the cost down further. Highly recommended!

Not the same since its changed owners.i found the owner quite rude ,he kept staring, didn't bother to come over and chat to us or make us feel welcome like the old owner used too...naan bread was so over cooked and crispy the cheese had gone hard inside...food definitely not up to scratch....

Staff were rude, we asked for tubs to take our food home, because we couldn't eat it, and he shook his head at us as we left, no wonder this world is becoming so insular, the service was appalling, we are paying you, !!!!

we had dinner here - four friends enjoyed the food. Lengthy menu with some new (for us) dishes but all good and served hot. You can take in your own wine etc. as not available. All in all a good experience for us and we will go back.

If you're looking for a really nice relaxing place to have a really good curry with really friendly staff, this is the place to go. Raj is a really friendly guy who was great to chat with. Definitely coming back here really soon. I need to go home and sleep now, as i ate to much😍

This is by far the best Indian in the area - to dine in or takeaway. Consistently great quality food. The service is brilliant and the staff are lovely. They have generous deals for dining in all nights of the week, BYOB with free corkage and a great range of non alcoholic drinks as well. This evening we were served by a waiter called Camron who was absolutely lovely, too! Highly recommended!

They delivered the wrong order. The apologised and said to keep that order and they will deliver mine in short time. After 1 hour of waiting I called the restaurant and asked about my order and I was reassured that they will check on it. I called them again after 15 minutes and they didn’t answer.

Firstly we have used Prithi Raj for years so this isn’t a hate review. We ordered our at 1900 and were told it would be with us before 2000. It finally turned up at 2035 and was cold. The Korma had spilled out into the bag and we were missing a pashwari naan bread too! We contacted the restaurant to arrange for a refund but we were told we needed to return our meal so a new one could be made! Please bare in mind it’s now 2045!!! I asked them to simply keep a credit note and we would simply re order at a later date and got told the best we could have was 20% off our next meal. Absolutely terrible customer service. Let us down with late delivery, spilled food and missing part of the order. They have sadly gone down hill and I got one will never use them again.

Ordered a take away online had a reasonable delivery time sent .30mins wait ,that's fine. Then updated to 15 mins delay !!! . Then that was it ! hour later I phoned ,No answer left a message with order number and contact number ,No reply . 1hour 15 mins later tried phoning again . Oh the guy said ,we've only just started your order 😒 . So 1hr 45mins later we received our order and it was cold🥶 .so not impressed 😕.

Worst experience ever had! If I could give no stars I would. Customer service appalling. Starters were fine and that's were it ends. The restaurant was empty except for many disgruntled takeaway customers waiting for their orders. So instead of being able to enjoy our meal it was interrupted by constant complaints and arguments from the kitchen. We joked it was like faulty towers little did we know. When our main courses were finally served they were lukewarm and the quality of the chicken was poor. We complained but just offered to reheat it! Not acceptable. So with a table full of cold food we said we would pay for what we had eaten and nothing more. We asked to see the manager but kept being told he was too busy. When he finally deigned to come out of the kitchen he was extremely aggressive and offered no apology and just demanded that we pay the full cost of the meal accusing us of trying to get a free meal despite all the dishes being full on the table. Needless to say we were unable to resolve the situation and left leaving contact details for the police who had supposedly been called. Wish we had not given them the benefit of the doubt when we arrived, there is a reason why a restaurant is empty on a Saturday night and unfortunately we now know why. Appalling!!!

Food 45 minutes late , 3 things missing and stone cold rung the restaurant and they couldn’t care less. Don’t waste your money and use one of the other takeaway’s instead

I love their curries but their delivery service is awful. Nothing delivered after 90 minutes went to wrong place and when I called, just binned off and delivery was cancelled. A real shame. They seem to have forgotten about customer service. Avoid if you want...

The new Prithi Raj. Been going to this place for many years,eat in and takeaways. After a time of flux, I'm happy to say they're back to the amazing standard. Perfect curry and all the trimmings. You can still take your own alcohol, winner winner curry dinner.

We were on a seven night stopover in Lancing and only found this lovely place on our last but one night. It didn't stop us from going back on our final evening and ordering another Zara chilli chicken each. So good. :)

Possibly the worst curry delivery I’ve ever had. It was 45 mins late and Luke warm. The tandoori chicken was rubberised - had probably been microwaved. I have no idea how it got like that, but it was awful. The naan was soggy and we couldn’t eat it. Really disappointing.

As always the food was fantastic! However, we were disappointed to have to wait almost 2 hours for our food to arrive and this isn't at all what we have come to expect at our favourite Indian restaurant. Let's hope this was a one off.

Very poor service waited over one and half hour's phoned them to get told driver has been round twice don't think so I have been sat outside with my dogs waiting so no meal tonight very disappointed was looking forward they also had my phone number but no phone call

Tonight we placed an order for ten curries and assorted side dishes. We asked that we could collect the food at 6pm. The food was ready on time, piping hot and excellent. Thank you to everyone involved, we will be back!!!!

My son and I dined at the Prithi Raj last night and were impressed overall. The main curries had decent portions and were tasty. The naan bread was particularly good - freshly cooked and very hot! The bring-your-own-booze policy keeps the price down a bit....

Sun Mon Tues, special night £15.00 for popodom, starter, main, rice, side dish and a naan...very good value...lovely restaurant and the food was amazing...will definitely be back.

Fantastic Indian restaurant with a warm atmosphere, great customer service and most importantly incredible food! (BYOB too which is always a nice surprise!)

Place pretty quiet,did banquet menu,very good service,plenty of produce to choose from,food freshly cooked to good standard,not rushed,which makes nice change,defo would recommend a visit.

The lamb was like chewing on rubber and the onion bhaji tasted vile ! Avoid and don't waste your money !
