Was later than was told had to contact them they said it was leaving now even tho just eat saidenjoy your food! Its not far from where we live but it was cold & needed to be re-heated. Thought we would try somewhere more local but wont use them again

Had a takeaway after recommendation from friends and family worse curry ever cold ,watery, no flavour garlic nan was just dough. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money first and last time using this curry place.

Been here before, it was excellent before and excellent again this time, friendly staff, food was excellent and very tasty, full of flavour and lots of it, couldn't fault it, the bill at the end was reasonable far cheaper than some other restaurants where we live. Highly recommended and definitely would be back 👌.

Met up with some friends from Hove. Staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. One of our party had dietary requirements which they had no problem accommodating. Food excellent. We will definitely be back.

Truly shocking customer service. Won't be using this curry house again. Sent meat samosas to a vegetarian. Wouldn't replace or refund our money.

Yesterday 6 of October Sunday I took takeaway. The food wasn’t tasty at all. Usually, the food is really yummy. There wasn’t any salt on sagalu. my salad was missing. Chicken tikka masalas taste was really plain not like before …not happy at all.

Without doubt the blandest curry I’ve had in my life: zero spice or flavour. It didn’t even smell of anything when we opened it. The biryani had no whole spices in it, and there was no heat to the Goa. And two tiny samosas for a fiver really is an insult. If you know your Indian food, avoid this place. £40 wasted.

Korma is on point Lamb Methi is amazing

Calcutta chicken followed by lamb biriyani. Delicious.

Our meal at Calcutta 16 was outstanding. We started with Chicken 65, which was crispy, spicy, and full of flavor. For the mains, the Chicken Palak stole the show—tender chicken in a creamy spinach sauce, perfectly seasoned. Paired with soft naan and fragrant basmati rice, it was a satisfying meal for three. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the overall excellent experience. Highly recommend!

I thought I would give Calcutta 16 another go for a veggie take away. Really awful veg curry and the chips were not cooked so had to finish them in my air fryer. I feel that my order was not expensive so they did the bare minimum. All I can say is its in the bin and that's after trying to eat it. Very poor and won't waste my money here again. Shame but its not the first time I have been left disappointed with this Indian House.

Just had a wonderful meal at Calcutta 16 with my wife for our wedding anniversary, the food was out of this world amazing, the staff are warm and welcoming from the minute you walk in the door, it is simply the best Indian restaurant ever, I highly recommend if you want authentic Indian food this is the only place you should go, we will definitely be returning.

We came down to go to a concert at the ropetackle , we were seated quickly and our drinks order was taken.we ordered just mains with rice and naan bread all the food was tasty and hot,there was nothing left on our plates, we would come here again

Crowded 5 round a table for 4 had to keep moving to let people get out from our table and the next table not enjoyable, table toooo small for our food and drinks!! Curry wasn't great prob due to how busy it was

Delivered 45 minutes late. All food was so cold everything had to be heated up. Dhansak had almost no flavour. Korma had absolutely NO taste. Poppadums were stale. Sauce was watery and flavourless. Absolutely awful dinner, nearly all of it has gone in the bin.

Missing poppudums, paid for a keema nan only to recieve a plain nan - no refund!!!!

The only reason I’ve put 3 stars is because we did receive the dish we ordered. Was still nice though!

Ordered to collect. Told me to come and collect in 25mins. Arrived on time and waited another 40mins. Then they forgot a dish. No apologies or anything. You lost a customer!

This must be the best ‘Indian’ restaurant in Worthing. It has such an interesting and varied menu with dishes not often seen at others , as well as the more familiar offerings. It is all well executed and served in nice surroundings.

We were continually misled about when this would be delivered, being told this was on its way out of the door almost 40 mins before it arrived. Terrible communication. No apology when the food did arrive. When money off requested we were told the weather was making the delivery slow- nothing wrong with the weather tonight so clearly just more bs.

Over 30 minutes late again, thought I’d try restaurant again as food previously excellent but again order late and cold. Inedible won’t be ordering again from this restaurant

had great experiences from here before, sadly not tonight, tried to explain over the phone but clearly not interested. lovely main but just sauce, a little more than 4 pieces lamb would of been ok.

called 90 minutes after ordering to ask where our food was to be told they were just bagging it up, it then took a further 35 minutes to deliver it which should have been a 10 minute journey. food was warmish but did taste good.

Horrible pink undercooked chicken .. microwave warm up curry and rice .. stale naan bread .. and the house bottle beer tastes like soap .. this used to be nice very very bad .. Will not be returning

We’ve been eating at the Calcutta 16 since it opened. The food has always been excellent and no idea why there’s negative reviews. We went a few weeks ago, food and service were great as always. We’ve even go on Christmas or Boxing Day when there’s a set menu (lots of choice) and it’s never a problem for them to accommodate our table of 10-12. The menu has the usual dishes as well as some fantastic chef’s specials, dishes we’ve never seen before. The Naga Revenge and Kurchan are family favourites!

Delicious food arrived on time piping hot, can’t ask for more. Also great delivery driver understood a dachshund with ideas of being Doberman…..best Indian restaurant around

We ordered on a Saturday evening at 6.20pm but our food didn't arrive until 8pm and when it did one of the dishes was completely wrong and all the dishes were luke warm. We phoned 3 times to chase and every time we were told we would definitely have it in 5 minutes. This wasn't true. We appreciate it was a busy night but what a waste of money.

Regular customer so would order again but last night veg curry with Biryani was almost non existent. 3 pieces of potatoes and a little juice. Carton only third full. No sign of spillage in bag and lid firmly on. Disappointing as rest was delicious.

Food was nice, and arrived on time. The customer service on the phone was appalling. I’ve ordered from Calcutta multiple times in the past, and unfortunately it’s a recurring issue. The staff are blunt, rude and couldn’t sound any less interested in the reason behind the call.

Excellent ! We were greeted on a very wet day with a warm welcome for lunch on Saturday. We both asked for a lamb phall which was not on the menu and it was very tasty...and hot !! Very happy with the food, service and the price ! Many thanks!

One of the best curries I’ve had. Flavour packed and value for money

This week our meal included rice with each main but we only received one rice and the portions were small. We order from here nearly every week and haven't had cause to criticise. The Friday evening chef is obviously better than the Monday chef!
