Got a delivery ordered curry sauce and chips the whole pot of curry sauce has been spilt all over my food I’ve tried calling you can’t get through to anyone this is ridiculous you try getting a refund and it says your not allowed one it’s awful how you can’t even contact them

I don't know if they've changed hands recently but the quality of the food has gone down. The chips used to be gorgeous, fluffy and crispy but now these were thin and shrivelled. The cheesecake looked nothing like the picture. There was no biscuit base, it was just a blob of slightly frozen mush. The delivery was the best thing about this experience.

Really good hot food but I’ve never seen such a tiny piece of cod! It was literally just a bit bigger than the battered sausage. Shame really as it would have had 5 stars as the food was really nice.

We brought our cub pack here on a 'Chip crawl' (practicing ordering and other life skills!) and the chips and service were absolutely fantastic! Our lot rated the chips in the high 90s across the board with special mentions for fluffiness and crispiness. Brilliant!

I ordered here quite late so appreciated them for being open still - ordered fish & chips with a bread roll. I called to order only had to wait a couple of minutes once I arrived. Food was cooked fresh and the guy serving was really friendly and also gave me a pot of their tartare sauce which was so nice of him. The food was good quality, not 'traditional' fish and chips in my opinion but still tasted nice and made fresh to order. chips were perfectly cooked and the tartare sauce was actually really nice. they use seeded burger buns for the bread rolls which was fine by me but slightly different to other chip shops using 'butty' style rolls, £10.90 for everything which is decent. Definitely worth a try, they use fresh oil/ingredients and are fairly priced - Would recommend.

Chips were fresh and hot and the chicken and mushroom pie was really hot and tasty. Will definitely order from here again. Big thanks to the shop and staff

Batter was burnt on the fish and tasted horrible the chips were this afternoons and reheated and the menu shows a nice piece of lemon with the fish and when it arrived no lemon we bought 2 pieces of and they were both in the same box so they were stuck together I will never use this chip shop again and I've already posted on fb with the pictures of what arrived

Ordered simple dishes, 1 cod and chips and 2 battered sausage and chips. It turns up with no sausage at all. I tried calling, the guy answered, as I said we were missing the items he put the phone down and turned the phone off (was at 9:23). Will never use these again. Waste of time.

The food is very tasty. Nice and clean. Helpful staff. Choice is good with vegan and vegetarian options. Next I believe that the ordering was quick and simple. Me and my wife have 2 kids and so ordering is usually quite complex and usually takes a while, but here there was a lot of thing to choose from which made things easy and my daughter ( who is quite the picky eater), ate a battered cod and chips and she ate it all. The tarter sauce was homemade and very smooth and tasty, plus they are very generous with the salt and vinegar.

It makes me sad to rate this place one star because it's our local chippy. We'd had some bad experiences but thought why not.. third time (not so) lucky. Used their website for online pickup, requested no salt and vinegar as the last lot we ordered had SO MUCH salt to the point we couldn't really eat them. Unfortunately, the chips had loads of salt and vinegar on. Also ordered a burger and chips with a separate portion of chips.. almost six pound in total and just got one very small portion of chips that we had to split. Won't be going back a fourth time, really disappointing for the price.

Used to be excellent, now the last 3 orders have been very disappointing, fish was ok, chips on each occasion average, be warned our last two orders of fish cake and chips didn’t include fish cake, we only got chips, reported on just eat site, refund but no contact or apology ! Avoid 👎

Awful. Absolutely Greasy chips and fish smells really bad and soggy.Visit this evening. Had cod and haddock. I vomited straight after eating and my 5 year old already vomited twice. Something seriously wrong with their food. We was in Resturant for 45 mins. Only saw a deliveroo rider came to pick up 1 order. Apart from that no one came. I think local ppl have better idea that’s why thy aren’t busy.

Awful. Only got half of our order. We ordered two large chips and two mushy peas. Got one of each. Phoned up and they said it wasn’t their fault and eventually just hung up on me. Will never go here again and will advise others not to.

Very well made fish and chips, with an excellent Italian coffee and friendly service.

Awful, do not bother. Fish was mushy, cold and tasteless, curry sauce was gloopy, mushy peas were hard and dry.

Food is good but the collection arrangement is appalling. Ordered online and was told it would be ready at 630 (30 minutes post order). Turned up to be told its not even been cooked yet and had to wait another 25 minutes (almost an hour after irdering). Why have a collection time!!?

The fish and chip is not the best cause I order haddock and chip which I expect you buy it together but you don't you have to buy it separately which it not good also I haven't talk about the food the chip and mixed with the old crisps chip with the fresh chip which is not nice and the last of all the haddock which I gotten had 2 bone inside it while I was eating it so be careful while eating your fish for bone

What a hidden gem! Had not heard of this place, previously always going to Argus Fish Bar or Salt and Malt - and this place tops them both! Fish was tender and flaky, and every single chip was perfectly crunchy on the outside, and fluffy inside, we'll definitely be back!

Only chip shop open on a Sunday in the area. You'd think they'd capitalise on this by offering outstanding food and accompanying service. But they don't. Popped in for some chips for the family, only to return home to find one of our boxes absolutely drenched in salt - I'm not dramatic about some 9verly salty chips, these had had half a tub dropped on them (see attached photos). I called to inform and complain - the response from the server was "oh, yeah. I thought I'd scraped most of that off. If you come back we can do you a new box"...and that was it. After reluctantly (albeit left with little choice) driving 10 mins back to the Sea Pearl, and presenting the server with the salty evidence. I was offered the same resolution of "chips or nuffin", the manager upstairs couldn't even be bothered to come and talk to me themselves, despite any refund/replacement/resolution needing to be approved by them. I was told, ultimately that it was "chips or nuffin" again and again, and that I was lucky it was even that and that most places wouldn't offer anything. Which I find hard to believe if another chip shop had poured half a kilo of salt all over someone's food. Honestly, mistakes happen, absolutely. But the level of service (or lack thereof) that I've experienced with Sea Pearl this evening will mean that they've lost a customer tonight. In this time where small independent businesses are undoubtedly recovering from a turbulent 18 months or so, you'd think they'd be a little more appreciative of their customers. Shame.

At Sea Pearl the food was very nice - freshly prepared & great service by Staff & A warm friendly welcome when we entered. Atmosphere very nice & relaxed & clean - they constantly making sure you are Happy & food is fine & if we wonted anything else. Food we had were Seafood Bowl & Salt & Pepper Chicken - chips & the homemade tartar sauce which was so nice. We will return for other visits to Sea Pearl Bristol- Fish -n-chip shop. Keep up the good Service with nice food & a nice atmosphere & nice polite staff .

This place has been one of my latest discoveries in West St. From the outside maybe it doesn't seem so pretty but inside the atmosphere is different, perfect to spend a lunch alone or with your family, they have a wide range of dishes for a very good price.

I love these restaurant. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, large portions. Cheap. Service, very friendly team, very nice people. We were also delighted with the interior of this restaurant. Cool, sea atmosphere. We also sincerely recommend "Sea Pearl" on Bedminster. This restaurant has continuously missed items from orders and when contacted for assistance just say to call Uber eats and offer no support or apologies for mistakes made by them. Uber eats is an awful service who don’t offer any customer support and when you get through to someone on the app, they reply with a standard copied and paste message. A service should provide what you’ve ordered and when the full order isn’t delivered, the restaurant should refund.

Great fish and chip shop, excellent food, freshly ground coffee beans. The staff are friendly and helpful. I especially love how crunchy their chips are, and I recommend their gravy, its really good.

Excellent to ser this place open for inside dining again. The cleaning methods used by staff are good but would like to see waiting staff wearing masks personally. Fish and chips excellent as before, sad to hear customers haf received delayed and cold fiood but obviously not resturants fault, always had hot food myself over the years. Happy to hear their menu going to extend even further soon, look forward to that.

Missing items again second time 4 battered sausages missing - owner has terrible attitude saying don’t order through Uber eats . Then he’ll bring up missing items - never received them and no refund - disgusting place will not order from here again - wish I could give no starts NEVER SENT MISSING ITEMS - ALTHOUGH THEY STATE BELOW THEY DID ! This has happened twice two separate occasions- THE ATTITUDE ON THE PHONE WAS AGGRESSIVE- we rang twice last night and nothing was sent total lies on owners reply trying to make himself sound better nothing was sent to reply 4 battered sausages

Too expensive to the quantity that they give!

Ordered from Uber Eats (Order #A138F). Delivery was very quick, but not even worth the short wait. We ordered two curry sauce pots and only received one, which was very watery. The chips looked good but were very tasteless and bland. The battered sausage was just about bigger than my middle finger! I have a good appetite and couldn't even eat half of this meal. Go elsewhere and your taste-buds and wallet will thank you

Fish have got smaller prices gone up and chips must have been cooked twice or more and with delivery came to £26 its gone down hill fast

Just received my order and I am very disappointed with the quality of the food. I paid almost £5 for a mixed salad and received a pile of lettuce with six very thin slices of tomato, 5 slices of cucumber and 9 slices of carrots!! Where were the peppers , red cabbage and onions that were supposed to be in it. Definitely will not be ordering again and will not be recommending them ever 😡

Brilliant fish and chips. I’m super fussy but the chips were really good and the batter on the fish was nice and crispy which was brilliant as so many do their fish soft in soft and soggy batter. I would definitely order again. We used Uber eats for the first time because we had a promotional code and they were very quick and efficient. I ordered a curry sauce and it was very thin, lovely flavour but thin.... I prefer a thick curry sauce with chips .... this is not a bad reflection on the restaurant this is my personal taste and only mentioning it so that if you’re like me and like a thick sauce maybe try one of their others !! But definitely order from here.
