Fantastic sandwich, best I've had in a long time! You get a lot of filling for a fairly reasonable price given how expensive things can be these days. Spicy Creole Sauce was particularly delicious

Extremely popular sandwich shop. Not entirely sure why. The sandwiches are massive, and the choices are fairly limited. Service was slow. Bread was running low - which seemed mad for a sandwich shop. Had the sausage roll which was spicy and pretty good. No scotch eggs, sadly. Has the Kiev and Tandoori sandwiches - and they were fine. Not amazing.

I had the chicken kyiv sandwich and half a scotch egg, they said the scotch egg would be runny but id say it was closer to jammy, but still absolutely delicious, worth a trip to bristol just to visit this place. Incredibly well priced too for how large the sandwiches are!

Looks great for a social media post. but overrated and overpriced..basically its just OK. doubt the quaity of incredidents fresh does not always mean good quality the bread was espically poor , it looks great but really feels like the idea is to taike a few bits and then a photo, my patners sandwich was espically tastless, more so for a rost beef sandwich. and he ended up chucking most of it away as it was not ediable. I punted for a hot chicken sandwich which was just OK, and pretty standard fair. given the food scene in bristol your npennies are better spent somewhere else.

Sandwich size is massive. Half of it could make me full, left the other half for the next day still pretty good. Worth a try. BTW the charge £1 extra for eat in🥲 which the menu or the staff did not mention until I found out on the receipt which I could have take them away and eat outside instead.

The sandwich ingredients were amazing quality and the flavours were absolutely stunning. Lovely and fresh, made to order. Me and the wife were in amazement watching the staff sqeeze that amount of food between two slices of bread. Something quite special to watch in itself. The Scotch eggs were out of this world, the Sausage rolls were mighty. I just wish we had tried the cakes too.

Long waiting time, there isn't enough staff. We waited around an hour to place order and collect it. Food is very good 👌🏻

Just had the rare roast beef on gluten free bread and apart from the bread melting which is standard when it touches any condiments it was amazing. I boshed it down in a few minutes. Great quick service I'll definitely be back for more.

Bread had the integrity of wet paper, with it falling apart after two bites. Fillings are great but the sandwich is filled for the sake of being filled. Would rather have a well balanced sandwich. Price is reasonable and would go back to try again

Woman serving me was incredibly rude and sandwich just big and wet - the tuna crunch had zero seasoning and was bulked with peppers. Genuinely the most overrated place, just large low quality sandwiches.

La zona de servicio no se puede ver realmente desde el mismo, así que creo que fue solo un poco pasado por alto.

I had checked my order on the web and again on the board in the Bristol Station Approach branch, and on neither did it state that there was mayo in the sandwhich that I ordered. I strongly believe all ingredients need to be listed on a menu so a person has the option to either remove an item or change their order. It’s sad because I would have otherwise been a very happy customer, but instead I was left unable to eat my sandwhich (2 seperate layers of thick mayo meant I couldn’t get away with just scraping off). The counter was so busy I felt like I couldn’t go up and complain, and after initially waiting forever to actually get my sandwhich made I felt like I just had to leave. I wish businesses would understand the importance of listing ingredients. Almost all other ingredients were listed on the board, except the mayo and the cucumber. On the website, other sandwiches were listed as having mayo, which is why I was more disappointed that mine did even after doing some du diligence). If nothing else it saves waste and unnecessary complaints.

Disappointed, the bread was stale in my fried chicken sandwich, pie was ok the filling was mushy.

Wow, this place did not disappoint. We had to wait 10 to 15 minutes as the queue was outside the door, but it was well worth the wait. There was a wide variety of fillings to choose from. The sandwich was so tasty, fresh, and had good quality ingredients. They are very generous with the fillings. It was delicious and well worth the money. The chilli and cheddar sausage roll was delicious. I will definitely go back there and try the scotch egg. This is worth the visit if you’re in Bristol.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Lots to choose from so was a little overwhelmed and didn't know which to choose, so Josh was super helpful and helped us out. Honourable mention for the yummy cheesecakes! Will definitely be returning to try some other sandwiches.

Came here after seeing so much hype online and had a great sandwich. I like the opportunities you have to customise the sandwich options they have on the board. This is great value for money and the staff are lovely. I do wish they had better vegetarian options though - one egg sandwich and one vegan falafel sandwich for a menu this big didn’t provide a lot of variety. Would be great to see Sandwich Sandwich expanding out into a better range for the veggies and vegans!

The burnt ends sandwich was excellent-as expected! but the cheesecake ...wow...the closest you can get to a perfect home made cheesecake. Best I have bought out in the UK 7/5 stars!

Not a bad sandwich by any stretch of the imagination. Good, deep and thick filling, and decent bread in my cold fried chicken sandwich. Very hearty and a hint of spice in the mayo which I love. I thought that my Mrs’ egg mayo was a bit bland to be honest. I have had a seriously creamy egg mayo sarny before somewhere, and this didn’t hit the spot with flavour like that. But - generally not bad at all.

Super Star Sandwiches. Eat for Lunch, no need for Dinner. The best is the Roast beef sandwich. Scotch eggs the size of baseballs.

One of the best sandwiches I've had, went during their Christmas menu and glad I did. Previously had a chicken and chorizo one and was fresh, good value for money, and very filling. Scotch eggs one of the nicest I've had too with a nice gooey middle.

Han pasado unos años desde que este lugar fue galardonado, tal vez por la mayor cantidad de relleno jamás registrada - no puede ser el sabor o el servicio al cliente! De todos modos, descansar en alguna estrella de oro obsoleta no justifica la arrogancia del personal. Después de media hora, un grupo de chicos empujaron con su matón XL. El personal estaba más interesado en ojear al perro y darle puñados de pollo que en servir a cualquiera que estuviera al frente de la señal. Nos sirvieron, después de que el perro había comido, con bastante desprecio. ¡Tal vez babear en el suelo nos hubiera dado un mejor servicio! Tbh, aparte de que los perros nos soltaron una lengua enorme en la vitrina con montones de ingredientes detrás (a pesar de que no quedaba pan! ) nos pareció que toda la experiencia fue más que un poco asquerosa, especialmente la actitud del personal! El “sándwich” que finalmente nos dieron fue simplemente un sándwich de mal gusto. Solo va a mostrar, ¿no? ¡Todo relleno, sin asesino! Una última nota - Sé que se pone ocupado chicos, pero no dejes que la pequeña pegatina dorada llegue a sus cabezas! Creo que empezó a despegarse hace siglos.

Ordered Southern Fried Chicken, Coleslaw and Creole sauce with iceberg lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Arrived as just a chicken and coleslaw sandwich. Disappointing as this was the first time I have tried after hearing so much about them. £11.00 for a sandwich not as described and half a scotch egg and a can is a tad overpriced,.

I had the infamous Christmas sandwich today and it absolutely lives up to the hype!!! Absolutely jam packed with turkey, pulled turkey thigh, bacon, cranberry sauce, stuffing...and other things I can't remember! Plus a pot of gravy for dipping. Epic! Plus it's so big I've got half for another meal.

Had the pleasure of trying the infamous Christmas sandwich after a couple of years of living in Bristol and it didn’t disappoint. The queue was long but moved quickly, and the friendly staff were accommodating in making me one without cranberry sauce. 10/10 would recommend.

The Hot Christmas Sandwich was amazing and the gravy was absolutely divine. Sandwich sandwich never fails to disappoint.

I’ve wanted to come here for years! And finally found myself in Bristol at the original place… the choices are really really good, me and my friend didn’t know what to get! But we we for the chicken Kiev, the chicken carbonara and the beef burnt ends and got a scotch egg to share as well… all I can say is, it was nice. The size of the sandwiches for such a good price is something that’s stands out but as for taste it’s not overwhelming… the chicken Kiev isn’t ANYTHING like a chicken Kiev, no taste of garlic, just chicken pieces with chutney and some cucumber.. the beef burnt ends was okay, the best we had out of the 3! And the carbonara one was just another chicken with some filling, basically, nothing has a lot of flavour at all! I enjoyed what we had but not to any spectacular amount. I wouldn’t get the scotch egg again, didn’t like it at all. Wasn’t gooey either. Service was good, friendly. Long que for the sandwiches as well so keep that in mind. Overall, nice place but wouldn’t go back again.

Hands down my favourite sandwiches in the uk. Had the chicken Caesar and scotch egg after having the Christmas special in London the week before. Can’t wait to try more of the menu next week!

Popped in pre travelling to Copenhagen, the sandwiches were great with a huge amount of filling. The flavours were top tier and would go back again when I’m next in Bristol, worth a visit!

The service to those actually queuing needs to improve hugely. Either get a second team to deal with Uber orders or double your staffing. Watch staff wonder aimlessly as the queue is way out the door beggers belief. Yes, great sandwiches but customers at the store appear to be an inconvenience

Four Christmas sandwiches ordered after salivating over the festive promo video. What arrived? Four big, beautiful beasts... cruelly abandoned by their gravy. No yuletide joy here—just dry sandwiches and even drier office morale.

The portion sizes are a big draw for sandwich sandwich but they definitely don't skimp on the taste either. Both the christmas special and BBQ burnt ends were choices I would come back for. The Baldwin street shop could do with more seating but apart from that would highly recommend for anyone to go.

Decided to go as we had seen Sandwich Sandwich all over social media. We visited the Baldwin Street location on a Saturday afternoon. The queue was out of the door, which was to be expected and we were prepared for. Tbh, the queue moved along quickly and we were served within 10/15 minutes. Great choice of hot and cold sandwiches, on white, granary or buns, with a variety of different fillings. This location has a seating area for roughly 30 people, but we decided to take away our food. We opted for the rare roast beef and seasonal Christmas sandwich (both cold options) When I say these sandwiches are door stop…I’m not exaggerating, so go with an appetite this establishment does not skimp on the fillings. Both sandwiches were fresh, super tasty, good quality of meat and ingredients used throughout. The team were friendly and a well oiled machine, service never dipped despite them being super busy.

Superb food-really good meats used. Hot sandwiches were unbelievably good. Christmas dinner sandwich comes with a pot of gravy. If it was a pint glass full I'd have drunk it!

Quick service, but most importantly really great value for money! The sandwiches are not big but massive (u can see on the video). The selection is great, they have more traditional choices but also more experimental flavours. I got the Coronatioan Chicken with Mango Chutney & Mint Yogurt and it was delicious and just £7.95. They also offer loyalty cards wich I think is really cool! I heard they just opened a new brunch in London so I might become a regular!

Hands down the best sandwich shop out there!! We drove all the way from Swindon to Bristol to get our hands on the festive sandwich, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Thank you sandwich sandwich, we will be back and hopefully soon!

Been wanting to go here for a while and it didn't disappoint.

Very limited vegan options. The only vegan item they have at the moment is the Christmas sandwich, which costs £12!! Apart from that it's meat only. They used to have really good and more reasonably priced vegan options, but they've removed them from the menu.

Absolutely fantastic sandwich. I wish I lived closer. We had BBQ burnt ends and southern fried chicken sandwich and they were both incredible. Service was great and all the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again when we're in the area!

Amazingly delicious sandwiches and snacks, have been a customer for years. However recently I asked whether the meat was free range and I was informed that it isn't and that it is generally halal slaughtered. It was really disappointing to hear that Sandwich Sandwich aren't sourcing their meat from local free range farms. I will still be an occasional customer, but am going to switch to the vegetarian or fish options until the meat supply can be more ethically sourced.

What a let down sadly this place is pure hype !!!! I placed an order via Uber eat’s yesterday was well looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about very disappointed!! I got a lunch deal the sandwich I ordered was missing the pulled bacon & salad the chicken was super dry definitely not fresh !! The scotch egg had zero seasoning and the coating was stale & bland. I also ordered a sausage roll that was very spicy wtf there was no mention on the page of the sausage roll being spicy!! I can’t eat anything spicy seriously not happy !! Very ,very disappointed after spending almost £18 0/5

My boyfriend was really excited to come to Bristol and especially to go to sandwich sandwich after seeing them online. He got chatting to the two women behind the counter and they gave us so many recommendations for the city and even threw in a desert for him with a happy birthday note! Sandwiches were delicious and do not dissapoint but the service is even better! Thanks ladies ❤️

This spot in Bristol is a must-visit! The sandwiches are freshly made right before your eyes and come in generous portions. The prices are excellent, the staff are friendly, and the shop is clean and inviting.

Got a crispy chicken stack from them. Onions rings were not very good, chicken was dry and bland and the picture clearly showed two fillets and I only got one. Sauce was tasteless. Not worth £10 in the slightest

Just bought a sandwich here today. I’ve asked for the posh fish sandwich, but when I’ve got back to the office I realised it was a fried chicken! I’m a pescatarian so had to go in the bin! No time as my break was over! Thanks for ruining my lunch

So we finally made it to the fabled sandwich sandwich. Luckily with a diverse bunch group all wanting to try something different we got to sample quite a bit of the menu. Really depends on what you pick as to the experience of the food. Couldn’t fault the staff however who go above and beyond what is (if expect from the hype) a very busy place. Now for the food…Go warm. Quite simply (sorry vegetarians, go to eat a pitta as they have poor options here tut tut.) their hot food wipes the floor with their disappointing cold options. The burnt ends a particular highlight and the crispy chicken too. The wrap chicken parm was a delight. However the egg mayonnaise was the most boring sandwich I might have ever possibly tried which baffles me as it goes from the sublime to the yawn on flavour. The southern fried chicken (cold) again a let down with tasteless coleslaw and not much else going on. Their breads however are excellent but guys the filling is just too much (I know you want to show off your sandwich cut aways) but half of it spills out!! Very messy. All in all some notable highlights here but choose wisely.

You’d be hard pressed to find more sandwich for your money than Sandwich Sandwich. To cater for all your Sandwich needs, flavours ranging from tangy hoisin sauce to flavourful heat in Spanish chicken, you’ll surely find a menu option to satiate the craving for a hearty sandwich. Granary, white, flatbread or in a bread-less bowl variety, the staff took and made my order with a smile on their face. All the sandwiches are made behind the counter where they show off the mounds of ingredients. The staff seem to be enjoying themselves which adds to the happy/cosy feeling the establishment gives off. You know instantly you’re going to get a good meal here as the queue is out the door more often than not, and on occasion, partway down the road. Don’t let that put you off though! The food is well worth the wait and price. One could argue the price is somewhat steep but having finished the sandwich, I can confirm that I was not left wanting more other than to try other flavour offerings. Would recommend the Spanish Chicken. There were layers of flavours and textures that made you enjoy every bite! The heat from the spicy mayo sauce wasn’t overpowering and the filling size was sufficient for the meat flavours to come through. Provided you’re a bit gobby, or have a bit of patience to nibble away at the sandwich, I’d definitely recommend picking one of the many menu offerings.

Such a huge disappointment! Found myself at a loose end on a lunchtime and knowing there'd be a queue I thought this would be a good chance to finally give this famous place a try. I looked at the menu on the website before getting to the front of the queue and went for the Jerk Chicken, which on the website was described as chicken, spicy mayo, coleslaw, pineapple relish and salad. Mmmm - see website picture attached. Received my wrapped up sandwich and toddled off excitedly to a nice spot by the river to eat it. Opened it up and saw I'd only been given chicken and spicy mayo. Walked back to point out the error and was told "oh the website's out of date, sorry" with no offer to put this right. So off I went again to give it a try - all it tasted of was... spicy mayo (of which there was a LOT). After 2 bites it went in the bin. So very disappointing.

OMG! If you want a PROPER US deli style sandwich this is the place to go! The fillings are to die for and the amount in every sandwich is incredible! The weight and f the sandwich is HEAVY! Scotch eggs are off the hook too! I’ll drive a 30mins round trip to go here.

Clearly a very popular spot with a big queue out of the door - but moved quickly! The carbonara flatbread we had was a taste sensation. Have never had that as a sandwich and it was delicious. Full of chicken. Would recommend - just make sure you leave time to queue if you’re on a timeline.

Went in for brunch - came out with 2 brunch sandwiches and a 'sandwich for later'. One sandwich would easily feed 2 and they're epic, especially the breakfast flatbread. Great set up, very efficient service and the whole menu looked incredible. Would recommend.

High level of hygiene is a must and this place have it 100% , freshly prepared food on your eyes . 5 stars is not enough honestly . Many places visited this one should have Sticker Come in Eat be Happy ;) that how I feel when I ate there.

Tourist trap. Read all the reviews thinking it’ll be great, but it’s just really overpriced and mediocre. I’m all for loads of filling, but the amount they give you is sickening. It’s so heavy, it feels like it’s been vaccumpacked and when you scoop some of the filling off to be able to take a bite out of that colossus, it’s tasteless. Very disappointing.

Quite a bizarre sandwich place, but in the best way. They scoop your fillings out with gloved hands & pop it between two piece of bread.. very wild but so much fun. I had the vegan spicy chicken sandwich & it was pretty tasty, i just wish there were at least one more vegan option there.. maybe a vegan mayo chicken or ham & cheese???

Sandwich Sandwich has big portions, reasonable prices, and mouth watering sounding fillings but I think they cater more to your eyes than your tastebuds. This was my first time trying Sandwhich Sandwhich and I shared the beef burnt ends on brioche, the scotch egg and the Kinder Beuno cheesecake with my partner (this was more than enough for two people). The sandwich was generously filled with good quality ingredients but the the brioche seemed poor quality and a tad stale. The egg had a lovely jammy yolk but the meat was bit too salty for my liking. I’m big a cheesecake fan but unfortunately this one didn’t rank very high for me. The base was too thick and the cheesecake was too soft, although I think this was partially due to how busy they were and the cheesecake being left out of the fridge as it wasn’t very cold. The ordering systems seemed a little chaotic but the staff were very patient and friendly and our food was ready very quickly. The shop was very busy and had a good atmosphere but I got the feeling they might be struggling a bit from their success.

With all the buzz surrounding this place, I finally decided to stop by and try a sandwich. There were no queues, but the ordering process felt a bit confusing, especially with no one at the entrance to guide customers. The display fridge looked sparse, and the products didn’t appear as fresh as I would have expected. I ordered the Spanish Chicken and Rare Roast Beef sandwiches to share, along with a Nutella Marshmallow Crodough for dessert. Watching the sandwiches being built was a highlight - they were visually impressive, large, and very Instagrammable from the cross-section. However, they were difficult to eat and, unfortunately, lacked flavour. The roast beef was chewy, while the chicken was drenched in sauce. The onion jam overpowered everything, making it hard to enjoy the other flavours. We ended up throwing away half of the sandwich and gave the other half to a nearby homeless person. As for the Crodough, it was just okay. I couldn’t really taste the Nutella, which was disappointing. In terms of pricing, the portions are generous, but the quality doesn’t match up. Service was friendly but slow, and I noticed some concerning issues with cross-contamination when handling different items - something that could be risky for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I don’t see myself returning anytime soon.
