Absolutely fantastic sandwich. I wish I lived closer. We had BBQ burnt ends and southern fried chicken sandwich and they were both incredible. Service was great and all the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again when we're in the area!

Amazingly delicious sandwiches and snacks, have been a customer for years. However recently I asked whether the meat was free range and I was informed that it isn't and that it is generally halal slaughtered. It was really disappointing to hear that Sandwich Sandwich aren't sourcing their meat from local free range farms. I will still be an occasional customer, but am going to switch to the vegetarian or fish options until the meat supply can be more ethically sourced.

My boyfriend was really excited to come to Bristol and especially to go to sandwich sandwich after seeing them online. He got chatting to the two women behind the counter and they gave us so many recommendations for the city and even threw in a desert for him with a happy birthday note! Sandwiches were delicious and do not dissapoint but the service is even better! Thanks ladies ❤️

What a let down sadly this place is pure hype !!!! I placed an order via Uber eat’s yesterday was well looking forward to seeing what all the fuss was about very disappointed!! I got a lunch deal the sandwich I ordered was missing the pulled bacon & salad the chicken was super dry definitely not fresh !! The scotch egg had zero seasoning and the coating was stale & bland. I also ordered a sausage roll that was very spicy wtf there was no mention on the page of the sausage roll being spicy!! I can’t eat anything spicy seriously not happy !! Very ,very disappointed after spending almost £18 0/5

This spot in Bristol is a must-visit! The sandwiches are freshly made right before your eyes and come in generous portions. The prices are excellent, the staff are friendly, and the shop is clean and inviting.

They have cut the portions in half since the last time I visited . Shame as this was a show stopper before .

Got a crispy chicken stack from them. Onions rings were not very good, chicken was dry and bland and the picture clearly showed two fillets and I only got one. Sauce was tasteless. Not worth £10 in the slightest

Just bought a sandwich here today. I’ve asked for the posh fish sandwich, but when I’ve got back to the office I realised it was a fried chicken! I’m a pescatarian so had to go in the bin! No time as my break was over! Thanks for ruining my lunch

So we finally made it to the fabled sandwich sandwich. Luckily with a diverse bunch group all wanting to try something different we got to sample quite a bit of the menu. Really depends on what you pick as to the experience of the food. Couldn’t fault the staff however who go above and beyond what is (if expect from the hype) a very busy place. Now for the food…Go warm. Quite simply (sorry vegetarians, go to eat a pitta as they have poor options here tut tut.) their hot food wipes the floor with their disappointing cold options. The burnt ends a particular highlight and the crispy chicken too. The wrap chicken parm was a delight. However the egg mayonnaise was the most boring sandwich I might have ever possibly tried which baffles me as it goes from the sublime to the yawn on flavour. The southern fried chicken (cold) again a let down with tasteless coleslaw and not much else going on. Their breads however are excellent but guys the filling is just too much (I know you want to show off your sandwich cut aways) but half of it spills out!! Very messy. All in all some notable highlights here but choose wisely.

You’d be hard pressed to find more sandwich for your money than Sandwich Sandwich. To cater for all your Sandwich needs, flavours ranging from tangy hoisin sauce to flavourful heat in Spanish chicken, you’ll surely find a menu option to satiate the craving for a hearty sandwich. Granary, white, flatbread or in a bread-less bowl variety, the staff took and made my order with a smile on their face. All the sandwiches are made behind the counter where they show off the mounds of ingredients. The staff seem to be enjoying themselves which adds to the happy/cosy feeling the establishment gives off. You know instantly you’re going to get a good meal here as the queue is out the door more often than not, and on occasion, partway down the road. Don’t let that put you off though! The food is well worth the wait and price. One could argue the price is somewhat steep but having finished the sandwich, I can confirm that I was not left wanting more other than to try other flavour offerings. Would recommend the Spanish Chicken. There were layers of flavours and textures that made you enjoy every bite! The heat from the spicy mayo sauce wasn’t overpowering and the filling size was sufficient for the meat flavours to come through. Provided you’re a bit gobby, or have a bit of patience to nibble away at the sandwich, I’d definitely recommend picking one of the many menu offerings.

Such a huge disappointment! Found myself at a loose end on a lunchtime and knowing there'd be a queue I thought this would be a good chance to finally give this famous place a try. I looked at the menu on the website before getting to the front of the queue and went for the Jerk Chicken, which on the website was described as chicken, spicy mayo, coleslaw, pineapple relish and salad. Mmmm - see website picture attached. Received my wrapped up sandwich and toddled off excitedly to a nice spot by the river to eat it. Opened it up and saw I'd only been given chicken and spicy mayo. Walked back to point out the error and was told "oh the website's out of date, sorry" with no offer to put this right. So off I went again to give it a try - all it tasted of was... spicy mayo (of which there was a LOT). After 2 bites it went in the bin. So very disappointing.

OMG! If you want a PROPER US deli style sandwich this is the place to go! The fillings are to die for and the amount in every sandwich is incredible! The weight and f the sandwich is HEAVY! Scotch eggs are off the hook too! I’ll drive a 30mins round trip to go here.

Clearly a very popular spot with a big queue out of the door - but moved quickly! The carbonara flatbread we had was a taste sensation. Have never had that as a sandwich and it was delicious. Full of chicken. Would recommend - just make sure you leave time to queue if you’re on a timeline.

Absolutely outrageous sandwiches!!! The best in Bristol! The Posh Fish and Chips, and the Coronation Chicken sandwiches were superb! Really worth it!!! Friendly staff and great service. 100% recommended!

Went in for brunch - came out with 2 brunch sandwiches and a 'sandwich for later'. One sandwich would easily feed 2 and they're epic, especially the breakfast flatbread. Great set up, very efficient service and the whole menu looked incredible. Would recommend.

High level of hygiene is a must and this place have it 100% , freshly prepared food on your eyes . 5 stars is not enough honestly . Many places visited this one should have Sticker Come in Eat be Happy ;) that how I feel when I ate there.

Tourist trap. Read all the reviews thinking it’ll be great, but it’s just really overpriced and mediocre. I’m all for loads of filling, but the amount they give you is sickening. It’s so heavy, it feels like it’s been vaccumpacked and when you scoop some of the filling off to be able to take a bite out of that colossus, it’s tasteless. Very disappointing.

Quite a bizarre sandwich place, but in the best way. They scoop your fillings out with gloved hands & pop it between two piece of bread.. very wild but so much fun. I had the vegan spicy chicken sandwich & it was pretty tasty, i just wish there were at least one more vegan option there.. maybe a vegan mayo chicken or ham & cheese???

Sandwich Sandwich has big portions, reasonable prices, and mouth watering sounding fillings but I think they cater more to your eyes than your tastebuds. This was my first time trying Sandwhich Sandwhich and I shared the beef burnt ends on brioche, the scotch egg and the Kinder Beuno cheesecake with my partner (this was more than enough for two people). The sandwich was generously filled with good quality ingredients but the the brioche seemed poor quality and a tad stale. The egg had a lovely jammy yolk but the meat was bit too salty for my liking. I’m big a cheesecake fan but unfortunately this one didn’t rank very high for me. The base was too thick and the cheesecake was too soft, although I think this was partially due to how busy they were and the cheesecake being left out of the fridge as it wasn’t very cold. The ordering systems seemed a little chaotic but the staff were very patient and friendly and our food was ready very quickly. The shop was very busy and had a good atmosphere but I got the feeling they might be struggling a bit from their success.

With all the buzz surrounding this place, I finally decided to stop by and try a sandwich. There were no queues, but the ordering process felt a bit confusing, especially with no one at the entrance to guide customers. The display fridge looked sparse, and the products didn’t appear as fresh as I would have expected. I ordered the Spanish Chicken and Rare Roast Beef sandwiches to share, along with a Nutella Marshmallow Crodough for dessert. Watching the sandwiches being built was a highlight - they were visually impressive, large, and very Instagrammable from the cross-section. However, they were difficult to eat and, unfortunately, lacked flavour. The roast beef was chewy, while the chicken was drenched in sauce. The onion jam overpowered everything, making it hard to enjoy the other flavours. We ended up throwing away half of the sandwich and gave the other half to a nearby homeless person. As for the Crodough, it was just okay. I couldn’t really taste the Nutella, which was disappointing. In terms of pricing, the portions are generous, but the quality doesn’t match up. Service was friendly but slow, and I noticed some concerning issues with cross-contamination when handling different items - something that could be risky for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I don’t see myself returning anytime soon.

Went recently on a Saturday (so happy they’ve reopened on weekends) and was served in good time, member of staff was friendly and helpful and had my sandwich made in no time. Was also able to get one of the infamous chilli sausage rolls which was a nice surprise as I know they normally sell out early, particularly on a weekend! Always 5* service and sandwiches.

Such a lovely little sandwich shop! Try to get in early in the day as the place is super popular. Loved the portion sizes and the customer service.

The only criticism is the website does not specify that menue items like falafel and the hot onion baji are london exclusives. Come on why can't we have these in Bristol as they sound amazing and a very good option for a vegetarian.

Limited veggie options, but what we did order was delicious. Service very good and pretty quick, wait time is good so you can decide what you want haha. Lots of herbal tea options which I liked and the girl serving us was so lovely and friendly. Would definitly come again, price from £6-9 for a sandwich.

First time at sandwich, sandwich. Wow!! If you love a good sandwich well I say no more. We had the tuna crunch and the roast beef ones, my goodness they were delicious to say the least. Also treated myself to a scotch egg, what a 🐷 I was that day 😂 Long queue on a Sunday lunchtime but not surprised, it did go down fairly quick and was worth the wait. Nice service, and will be trying one of the others in the not too distant! Solid A***** LDT x

First time using, heard about it so eventually took the plunge. Had Jerk chicken, Jalapeños, coleslaw with a chili/mayo/bbq mix sauce. Fully packed out and tasted amazing, spicy hot just as I like although the after effects were like a volcano 🤣

We visited on Bank holiday Monday! Very friendly staff and didn’t queue for too long (maybe 10 mins?) plenty of space to sit and very tasty food!

Sad to say it’s yet another company choosing to discriminate people who only have cash! Went for my first visit today (as I’m gluten free) as I had heard they do gluten free bread 👏 Went away hungry after ordering as I only had cash. Shame they don’t say this before you stand and choose your much awaited lunch 😩 But good old St. Nicholas Market fed me well and very happy to take my money

I have been waiting for years to come to Bristol just so I could try this place, and it was worth the wait. Lovely staff and service and a HUGE sandwich. Beautiful roast beef, and although I'm not a great fan of Oreos or cheesecake, this was absolutely delicious. I thought the prices were reasonable for the size and quality of portions. I shall be volunteering to come to Bristol more often.

The staff were extremely rude and while the portions were generous their focus is definitely quantity over quality because it wasn't an enjoyable sandwich which is unfortunate as we were really looking froward to visiting this place after it was recommended by a friend for our city break.

Says it closed at 3pm it actually closes at 2:15 went in there as they packed everything away and said closed. So please change opening times

What a Sandwich! Massive choice of overfilled, quality sandwiches. Hand made there and then for each customer, that takes a while but it’s definitely worth it.

Driven 160 miles to visit based on a food bloggers review to make it part of our tour. We were later than expected due to an accident but parked the motorhome and rushed straight there. We arrived at 3:01pm and told ‘we’re closed and that’s it.’ I’m sure the food is good but I can’t review that so just based on service. We didn’t get any but there wasn’t a zero option

After seeing on social media about Sandwich Sandwich. I had to try it out as I was in Bristol. The queue was a good sign that I wouldn’t be disappointed. The signage show what sandwiches were available, house special, classic and other menu items. I went for the House special of roast beef and a scotch egg. On top of what was already in the sandwich you could add over salad products and topping. Think subways but 💯 better. I had such a massive amount of food in my sandwich. That I saved the sandwich for sharing with my girlfriend and ate the most delicious homemade scotch egg . The sandwich was so delicious and amazing that I will go back again with my girlfriend soon. You won’t be disappointed 😋😋😋😋😋😋

- I received the wrong drink. - The sandwich filling is awful (I guess there's a reason why it's the only sandwich without a picture on Uber Eats), it is a claggy mass of hamhock, cheese, and mayonnaise... texture is the conduit for flavour, and you have failed these ingredients miserably. - How does someone not know how to form a scotch egg? Eggs are egg-shaped, if you form the sausage meat around it in a perfect sphere, then you're going to have uneven coverage. You somehow managed both uneven coverage and an imperfect sphere. Maybe to achieve even coverage, you might consider forming the scotch eggs into an egg shape... - The hash browns clearly got stuck together in the fryer and were uncooked on one side each. - The bread and piccalilli were good. All in all, it's a pretty poor experience. I would hope that a sandwich shop would be able to handle a ham hock and cheddar sandwich, but evidently not. I ordered on Uber Eats, so my rating is solely based on the food, and I gave one star for the two ingredients I enjoyed, I think this is fair based on my other complaints.

Hello, I just wanted to say I visited sandwich sandwich Bristol on Monday 19th August 24 (my 1st time) it was incredible but that's not what I wanted to say! I wanted to say the the staff we're amazing and friendly. I have my 4yo daughter with me who really wanted cucumber that's all she wanted! You the staff put some cucumber in to a container for her which made her day so a MASSIVE THANK YOU xxx

We drove for the second time from Nottingham and stopped in Bristol only to have the so wished sandwich sandwich. Unfortunately it was just past 15pm and the doors were closed. We stood outside for a few minutes, trying to decide where to eat, absolutely disappointed we did not check closing hours. Paulina, came to us, she engaged in such a friendly talk and interacted with our cat. She has offered us a sausage roll and a scotch egg, also, a piece of chicken to our Dora. She was so adorable, so friendly. We will definitely return any time we have the chance. This is our second experience, the first one was at a smaller shop, we had delicious food but the service was the highlight. Keep your staff happy! They’re making your customers very happy! It's the second time we've been there. Saw the company on TikTok originally. I wish I knew about them sooner. They have a great range of sandwiches starting from around £8. The staff were really nice and friendly, even gave the puppy some chicken whilst we waited. Scotch egg had a runny yolk, really enjoyed the chicken kyiv and the pulled pork. BBQ burnt ends wasn't as good- a few dry bits in there but still v tasty. Can't wait to try the desserts next time!

Muy británico. Así lo resumiría. Pero muy grande de tamaño también. Se trata de unos sándwiches enormes que son generosos en todos los sentidos pero que pecan de sosos y que han caído de pie. Una cola de media hora está asegurada sobre la hora de comer… y mucha publicidad de “restaurante del año”. Pues bien, no merece la pena. Es un sándwich sosisimo al que le falta al menos sal y que se hace mazacote para comer. Uno para dos es más que suficiente… La idea puede ser buena pero les falta gracia. Un sándwich y una Coca Cola, 10,50.

Very happy to have found this place, the sandwiches were fantastic and good value for money when compared to the likes of Subway, and the pre-packed efforts of Pret, for example. Two of us had the BBQ beef burnt end sandwich, which was amazing, and the other the rare roast beef which looked super good. We're absolutely coming here again when we next visit Bristol.

We popped into the store in Bristol to pick up a sandwich for lunch whilst on a shopping day in Bristol. This is my second visit to Sandwich Sandwich and I'm blown away every time. It's always incredibly busy and the staff work super hard, each and every one of them are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Now the food... what can I say other than outstanding. I have uploaded pics of my Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich which was incredible and my mum's GlutenFree Chicken Caesar Sandwich which she said was the best she'd ever eaten. I am slowly working my way through their menu but for me so far, my favourite is the Jerk Chicken, soooo flavoursome! You won't be disappointed by picking up lunch from Sandwich Sandwich and it's 1000% worth the wait in the queue!

I love visiting here as the food is always great. Been coming here for years and it's lovely seeing how popular they've become. Yes, the queues can be long, but the staff are always very patient and calm. Having said that, I'd recommend getting here before 1130 if you want to skip the queue. The food keeps for later in the day anyway! My personal faves are the sausage roll, the tandoori chicken sandwich and the scotch egg. If you can manage a brownie or cheesecake after that then worth ordering as well.

I had traveled from Lincoln to Bristol for my brothers wedding, in the months leading up to the event I had raved about a sandwich shop I’d seen online and how I wanted to try it to my family and partner. This morning we took a visit and I was amazed by the restaurant, it was clean and the presentation of the menu and food was amazing! We spent a few minutes thinking and then ordered. The staff member that served us was very helpful and polite and the food wow ! It lives up to instagram/ TikTok fame! We took some scotch eggs home with us too! If we lived closer I’m scared how much I’d eat here! It trumps any sandwich shop in the UK

Excellent as always! Staff are among the best you’ll find in Bristol, food is always top notch, super tasty and the bread is elite! I always ask for less cream cheese as I don’t really like it but the garlic flavour is so good!! Spanish chicken is becoming a new fave!

Been on my list for some time now. I was expecting a long queue but only waited 5 minutes. Decided on the rare roast beef which was a stunner. However, as you can see- these sandwiches are monstrous so if you have a tendency to get flavour fatigue, I would recommend halving two different options with a food partner. I can EAT but hit the flavour wall with this mistress. It’s Also got the Get Baked brownie… mind blowingly good!!!

What a place 😋 best sandwich by far and so big too 😲 I took away a scotch egg and sausage roll so I'll be back to comment on those A follow up on the scotch egg and sausage rolls 😲 what a shame I didn't get more 😭 need to do these through the post as it's a bit far for a weekly shop. Everyone that goes really needs to try these, or atleast takeaway for later 😋 Another visit a year later 😁 and another great sandwich, this time chicken tandoori 😋. If your in the area and near to luch get yourself here, loads of choice, and also a large sandwich 🥪

I have been plenty of times & had the Hot Crispy Chicken Stack quite a few times. I have enjoyed it every single time. Finally managed to get my friend to try this place out after a while of convincing

We finally mad a long awaited visit to Sandwich Sandwich after seeing social media content about their food - it didn’t disappoint!!! The queues were to be expected (sign of a worthy wait if you ask me!), but they moved super quickly due to the hyper effective and friendly mass of staff behind the counter. We were super satisfied with our jam packed sarnies, I had to take some home they were so filling. Amazing prices too! HIGHLY recommend - we will certainly be going back 👌🏼

Loved the roast beef sandwich here. Very well assembled, nice and balanced flavours and the portion is massive: so much beef. The onion jam is just 🤌 and the horseradish mayo adds a nice kick.

We arrived early on a Monday morning when there was no queue. We got a breakfast sandwich & a chicken Kiev, and a scotch egg for dessert. The sandwiches were hefty and tasty. I wish I had tried a hot sandwich. Even though I saw the ingredients and saw the menu, it still didn't dawn on me until I bit into it that I was having a cold sandwich!

I would just like to take a moment to say, HOW BLOODY AMAZING 🥰 I came into the Bristol's Baldwin street branch today, not really sure what to expect. The chappy who made my sandwiches was lovely and really helpful, I said I wanted to take my food away and could I have a bag, he wrapped my beef burnt ends bun up really well, it got back safely for my husband to have, and also my sandwich was absolutely fanominal, it really is worth the hype, and also for the money, it is extremely reasonable with how much food there was in the sandwich, (I have only managed half my sandwich and the rest for tea 🤤) Really wish you the best of luck and thank you to that chappy for making what was a very stressful morning for myself just a little easier Have a lovely day 🥰 and see you soon

Ordered a few times a while back and it was so bad, they offered a free meal when I complained.... I actually never went to collect that but almost 2 years later I tried it again and ordered a breakfast sandwich..the meat looked like it was cooked weeks ago & reheated, and it was totally inedible. Foil also heated into the bread. This place is great if you would like overpriced microwaved or processed food.. I have no idea how they are popular They again offered me a free meal but when I tried to collect it they repeatedly ignored my messages

Not only was the food absolutely decadent and delicious, the staff served me a minute before close which if they didn't I totally would of forgiven. Great service, great food.

Moved to Somerset in 2022 and still exploring Bristol. My daughter tipped me off about this place, and I stumbled upon it today. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had—thank goodness I skipped breakfast! The staff were incredible, friendly, and efficient, handling the out-the-door queue like pros. Sadly, I didn't have room for the cake, but it looked divine. Now my daughter (who lives in Scotland) is green with envy over the photos I sent her. Until the next time 😋

Fantastic place! Very busy but only took around ten minutes from start to finish, the bbq burnt ends and mac and cheese hot roll was incredible!

Quick service! Lucky we got there before a queue started! Really lovely friendly staff! Definitely coming again :)

Came all the way from London and we were stopped from entering the shop at 14.25 (advertised closing time is 15.00) we were told they were having to close early. When pushed for an answer we were told there were unforseen circumstances, when asked what they were we were told there was a pigeon on the store. When asked why is the shop full of people eating food, if you need to close the shop due to the pigeon, why can't we order and takeaway. We were told there were 2 more sandwich sandwich shops locally. When I asked if they would be open, or likely to have closed before time too. We were told they are open. We left and googled the other locations, both of which were closed. Thanks sandwich sandwich. Uselessly disappointing and very anticlimactic!!! Not impressed.

Woman serving customers with the long red hair, absolutely lovely really friendly and efficient, person with the bowl cut, blonde at the top EXTREMELY rude, pulled rude faces to us, not welcoming or warm at ALL, went out of her way to be rude, ordered us to move away from looking at the menu on the wall to the side of the shop were menu was not so visible (how can we order if we can’t read the board!?), questioned which sauce we wanted but in a condescending way, again, pulling rude/arrogant faces. Never been to this store before (behind Brewdog near Castle Park) and certainly will not be returning, we were made to feel really unwelcome right from the beginning. Other than the lady with bright red long hair who was friendly, the rest of the staff were miserable, cold and made us feel really uncomfortable. Sad to say. Sandwiches have gone up significantly in price, they are renowned for their huge fillings but they have definitely been reduced by a lot. Very disappointed :(

Without a shadow of a doubt the best sandwich place in Bristol! There's always a queue here and for good reason. Despite how busy they clearly were the staff were exceptionally friendly, and all three of us agreed that the food was delicious. Initially I worried that the portion of Biscoff cheesecake split between three of us wouldn't be enough (it didn't look like a big serving), but after eating it we agreed it was far more filling than it looked. An instant favorite!

Best food please ever sandwich’s are amazing the size the taste everything, it’s always fresh and sourced locally we can’t recommend this place enough and staff are always happy and polite, please come To Cardiff next 😊 sorry my pics are not the best and do not do them justice
