Had a good friend over from Czechia, he wanted a burger but not one from the popular chains. We walked down to Smash Burger, always wanted to go there and man I wish I went sooner. Burger was banging, yeah it is more expensive than a McDs, but you get way more for your money. Jake was cooking, seemed a nice guy and couldn't be more helpful, and the guy helping him was the same. Thanks man, great food, great service. See ya soon.

With no doubts the best burgers you can get in this country. Comparing with other restaurants you will spend much less in here for same amount of food. The staff is always friendly and the place is clean. Highly recommended

Had always been a big fan of Smash Burger and had been to this location previously. On this occasion, the place was filthy and no one seemed to care. We moved to another table as the music was too loud. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned. Asked for dine in, but received our order in a bag. Everything was very greasy. The fries were not hot and were not edible. The tatter tots and onion rings were slightly better but very greasy. While the burgers tasted alright, the requested ingredients (which I paid extra for) were not included. The toilet was very dirty and had not been kept clean. Overall, this was a poor experience. We did discuss with the manager…who couldn’t be bothered. She was sat at a table with a laptop and at no point directed staff to do the most basic tasks…the place was not crowded. She simply did not care to hear our complaint or feedback. I would not recommend anyone to eat here. This experience was a huge disservice to Smash Burger.

Always so good. So much better than other burger places and for a decent price. Try the Oreo milkshake.

The burgers we had from here were delicious.The food was prepared quickly and the staff were very nice.

Absolutely useless. Ordered on uber eats. Part of the order was missing and when we talked to them we might as well have been talking to the wall. Check your orders properly. Won't be ordering again.

Very good burgers. Quality and freshness seem to be the norm, and the taste remains excellent. I recommend it. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the use of paper bags and disposable services even for an on-site order. Is it really necessary?

Nice burger, sure. But eleven pounds nice burger? Not so sure.

Best veggie burger I've had in years!

I have no complaints, the ordering was quick and simple, the food was delicious (probably ordered more than I should have). The mac'n'cheese bites were incredible and the new truffle fries were so so good. I would always recommend it.

Food is okay, management is unprofessional, saw them yelling at staff in front of customers.

Decent veggie burger - they do a good veggie meat patty, nice salad and bun, tasted quite fresh, bit too much pickle though. The chips were ok, just very greasy. Mac and cheese bites were good but again very greasy. Service was ok. Could be a bit cleaner inside.

Came here with my grandfather. Ordering was quick and simple and the food is well worth the prices. If you're travelling to Brighton stop here to eat. Highly recommend

The overall atmosphere I experienced at Smash Burger is more than satisfactory, the staff were very receptive to our requests and the seating was quite enjoyable with my family. The interior as well created a great atmosphere! I would definitely recommend the classic smash burger with sweet potato fries for anyone who looks to try Smash Burger ;). One more thing, kids eat free every Wednesday .

Excellent food, friendly staff and good location in the centre of Brighton. Slightly expensive in comparison to other burger joints, but quality of the food lessens this sting!

Food great. Burgers are tasty, normal fries are great. They seem to be covered in a very light batter with salt. Onion rings are deliciouse. Great crunch. Music is too loud and the only way to avoid it is choose a takeaway. Toilets locked so you need the passcode from the staff.

The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was amazing and was better than the usual burger outlets any day. We came here from Kent on the recommendation of a family member. We will return!!!!

I had placed an order for 2 burgers and when the food arrived it was full of salt. I was unable to eat it and when I complained i was told some pathetic excuse about spices. I had to throw the burgers away. I am absolutely disappointed by the food and the customer service. I will recommend people to not eat here!!! I spent over £40, save your money and do not eat here.

Honestly the burgers are something else, delicious and succulent and I'll definitely be returning again just for the food. The staff were super friendly and helpful, in particular Jake who gave advice as to what to have when I couldn't choose. I would definitely recommend this smashburger to anyone!!!

Just bought some truffle fries and a truffle burger . The fries were too dry and the burger was way too oily and greasy, tasted like it was deep fried . First and last time when I'm gonna come here. Do not recommend

Burgers was assembled horriblyi was just mashed together. Got the order wrong for my partner. Tasted well tho but had to reheat as the milkshakes was put next to the food. So overall not that happy

Served by Scarlett and her manager who were super lovely and helpful, had the £10 deal which was a bargain and food was delicious!, would certainly eat here again :)

Had it delivered and unfortunately on a list of 4 items, 1 was missing and and other was completely wrong. Called the shop to get an explanation but the person on the phone wasn't of any help.

I enjoyed my experience here, I thought that the staff were helpful and friendly 🙂 and the food once it arrived was cooked well and tasted lovely. Definitely recommend this place.

Although the inside of the burger was tasty, there wasn't enough of it to withstand the over dry rock hard gluten free bun which was an extra 50p. Such a shame. For a tenner, I expected more, Not a film prop. Feel like I just ate a dried out sink sponge. Sort the gluten free buns out please 🙏 they're gross

Lovely food, killer burgers and fries. Staff were super nice, smiley and chill, explaining their card machine was being a bit slow which they can't help. Only thing I can think which is a tiny little thing, a sign to the toilet would be lovely. Definitely will be coming back if Im around.

Waited ages to be served in the resturant only to be told we are too busy to serve customers. Then couldn't get out the door as a delivery bike blocked the exit door opening. One of my worst ever experiences as a costumer. Sorry to inconvenience you with my time and attention by visiting you. I will never come again.

We waited for our burgers 40 minutes. And our waiter has been confused and gave our meal to another person. ! 5guys is better.

My wife & I went today 23rd February 2024. We went for the Double Classic Smash burger with fries and zero coke. 1st started eating the fries OMG real potato fries & absolutely fabulous. The perfect yes perfect fries, worth coming in for those alone. 2nd the burger was from another planet, it had to be nothing on earth tasted like it. It was on equal taste & flavour to my other favourite Uncle Sam's, now I have two favourite burger places. The pickles, lettuce, tomato & and onion was OMG what I love in a burger whole slices of tomato and onion, none of the chopped mince stuff like other international so called burger places. Atmosphere was great, music in the background my kind of music great soul. Staff friendly and attentive but not overly so, I like that. Now I only gave 4 star's would have been 5 stars, but for the fact the unlimited drink option on the menu was not on offer due to the machine being broken. I was looking forward to a couple of cold zero cokes just to add to my experience. My wife (The Boss) loved everything about it and so did I. Will be back again to try the unlimited drink option. If that is working then Smash Burgers should Smash the 5 stars! Lastly the toilets very much tidier & cleaner than other places I have been. Thank you Brighton Smash Burger. I'll be back! 😍😍😍😍

Wow. Totally inept of any hospitality. So called manager (really bad bleeched hair) made out that the till had broken even though they had served customers before and after us. I watched from across the street. This was down to two reasons. They were totally overwhelmed with online order's and, as the so called, Valentine's Day (14th & 15th February???) offer was exclusive to dine in only, they decided to make out the till was faulty to only concentrate on people who were paying full price. I work in catering, and I'm fully aware of every trick in the book. This so-called person in charge may not realise it, but he is slowly destroying this particular restaurant. His personal hygiene in between packing customer's online orders was terrible. Not once did he wash his hands after touching his nose. He didn't seem to have a cold but kept on rubbing his nose regardless of the consequences. I'm sure the food here is lovely, but after being turned away with two hungry kids and being fobbed off with the broken till story, I'm afraid this franchise will never receive any of my money. One star because the music was OK in a completely soulless restaurant.

Their burgers are excellent, possibly the best in Brighton, but whilst they use Just Eats for their delivery partners the service is appalling. I ordered delivery Smashburgers many times when they were delivered by Deliveroo and never had a problem. On two of the four or five occasions I have ordered delivery burgers since they switched to Just Eats they have delivered the wrong order. Last night was exceptionally bad. When I realised we had been given the wrong delivery I called Smashburger and they confirmed the rider had picked up the wrong bag but assured me my order would be delivered shortly. Twenty minutes later I called again and Conor told me that I would not be getting my order as Just Eats had refused to deliver it. Thanks for the warning Conor. Lucky I called as I could have been waiting longer. Conor told me that I should use the Just Eats app to ask for a refund, which I have. I think in the circumstances Conor and his team should hastily find another way of delivering their food, maybe a taxi at their expense?.. rather than leaving their customers hanging. I shall endeavour to contact the management of Smashburger in the week for a constructive chat. Whilst they continue to use Just Eats as their delivery partner I will be a very reluctant customer.

Refused to give me tap water saying it was illegal, and their “freestyle” drink machine was out of order. Happy to take £30 off me though. Someone needs to use some common sense.

Good burger restaurant in the city centre. There are other options like chips with smashed patty burger and cheese, similar to hash potatoes. Refills drink available. Sweet potatoes fries option.

Ordered online and was unable to modify it so I had to ask the server to change my burger to have no pickles lettuce or tomato on my burger as a takeaway. So when I got home with my order I was quite shocked to see all of the above on it and was unable to eat it due to my serious allergy to pickles.

Today I came into store to redeem my free burger voucher that I got at my university freshers fair. I was denied from using it and informed that the worker had argued with the manager over this previously. The voucher was completely in date and I would have bought something alongside it. I was really upset about this as I am a struggling university student that has never tried smashburger before and would much rather give it a go for free and come back at a later date if I enjoyed it.

it was so nice here! i’ve just moved into brighton for university so still not really used to going out on my own for food, especially not in a new city, but the employees were kind and the food was absolutely amazing! i’ll definitely be back :)

I visited the other day and ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger along with the BBQ Bacon Cheddar fries. The burger was super juicy and fries were nice and crispy. The service was really good too. My food was ready within 2-3 minutes and the staff were extremely friendly too (thank you, Craig, Debby and Myrtle!). I'd definitely visit again :)

We ordered dinner from Smashburger via Deliveroo. On the Smashburger menu on delivery app, there is so much choice for vegetarians, vegans & meat eaters alike. My partner ordered the Avocado Club & I ordered the Alternative Classic Smash & fries. We only had to wait half an hour for delivery. My Alternative Classic was a plant based burger with lettuce tomato pickles & vegan cheese & it was one of the tastiest burgers I’ve ever eaten. It was so good. Would definitely order again & would highly recommend.

Really poor service, food everpriced . Asked for avcado club vegan and got normal burger, they did apologise and changed it . Asked for vegan mayo it took 5 min to get it. Definitely not the best value for money when you spend£ 37 for 2 burgers, chips and 2 drinks at fast good place .

Visited here today with my 12 year old son. Considering it was very busy the service was good. The food was excellent. It arrived piping hot and I highly recommend the smashed fries; cooked in oil, garlic and rosemary . We will definitely be returning when we visit Brighton again. Just gave it a four rating as it was slightly over-priced.
