Slim Chickens in Southampton

Horrible experiencia aquí hoy. El gerente (James) fue ofensivo y agresivo cuando visité con mi hija de 4 años hoy. Compré comida y me dijeron que no podía sentarme en la mesa que habíamos esperado porque lo pedí como comida para llevar (debido a que en ese momento no había mesas). Estoy discapacitado y necesitaba sentarme como se sentía mal y también para que mi hija pudiera comer la comida que había pagado (el mismo precio para llevar que para sentarse). También tenía un carrito como ayuda para caminar debido a mi discapacidad y me dijeron que no podía traerlo a pesar de que había buggies repartidos por todos lados y bolsas de compras por todos los pisos. Me dijeron que me sentara en el comedor, pero no había asientos. Afortunadamente dos encantadoras damas se dieron cuenta de que estaba luchando y nos ayudaron a sentarnos con ellas. La tienda Bournemouth siempre ha sido increíble, pero este lugar realmente me ha pospuesto visitar Pollos delgados de nuevo. Ni siquiera podía comer la comida que había pagado, ya que estaba tan angustiada.

La comida era absolutamente increíble. El pollo era tan crujiente y delicioso, las patatas fritas eran tan buenos en términos de crujiente y condimento también. Los aros de cebolla eran mis favoritos, así que genial!

Fui a West Queys Southampton para ir de compras. Decidí ir a almorzar, mi lugar favorito de pollos ya no estaba allí, así que pensé en probar pollos delgados. Estaba muy decepcionada con la comida muy cara y no tenía sabor, además de ser muy salada. Las patatas fritas estaban mal cocidas lo mejor fue la media rebanada de pan integral frito en ajo.

La primera vez aquí la comida era excelente chips omg cielo. Personal amable y muy servicial sin duda volveremos de nuevo limpias mesas.

Worst place I’ve ever visited. Only 2 screens to order, no where to sit. Waited for 25 mins for our food but as there was no where to sit we didn’t eat it. It looked awful anyway. Staff were unhelpful. Place looked dirty. Never again

Honestly saying , the staff service and food quality make me coming to this restaurant always, they are best in town i really love the way the smile at all customers

Kentucky wannabe Says chicken cooked to order and the wait for food would suggest that’s true. No bad tasting chicken really hot as obviously just cooked. Fries were excellent with a nice spicy taste. Fried onion rings were crisp and looked great but were very salty to my palate. Ordered six bits of chicken but should have gone with the three option. Chicken fries and onion ring just a tad too much for me. If you’re starving hungry knock yourself out. Loads of choice on the menu. Refillable soft drink always a bonus

CHEWING GUM IN MY BURGER!!!! I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this venue. I visited this place for lunch and had ordered 2 buffalo plant based tender burger meals with a side of tenders for takeaway. After receiving my receipt, I questioned with the server (Joe) who I later found out was the manager that what I had paid for was single burgers and not two meal deals. After a little resistance, Joe accepted that this was an error and added two portions of fries. I offered to pay for these but he said not to worry. As I was eating my plant based burger, I tasted something that wasn’t consistent with the texture of the burger or bun. My colleague who was with me at the time saw this and to my surprise, I pulled out of my mouth, a piece of a folded white napkin with chewed chewing gum inside (Picture attached) Needless to say I was shocked, at this stage, I folded the burger back up with the foreign object and went back to the restaurant to bring it to the managers attention. I was met with a hostile response that it couldn’t have possibly come from their kitchen and that he would need to investigate by reviewing CCTV of the food assembly line and confiscate the burger. I asked to take a photo of it as Joe was adamant he needed to take this as per their protocols to freeze and examine. He came back 10 minutes later after reviewing CCTV, to say that there is physically no way that this had entered in to the burger from his kitchen, unless it was in the bag of salad or the frozen tenders themselves but couldn’t have possibly been from the preparation of the burger in the kitchen. He offered no apology and his lack of empathy insinuated that he knew something had happened but didn’t admit to it. Sure enough, I made my complaint to the slim chickens feedback page on the website (I still have had no response) and then I had an initial email from Matthew Muldowney the Area Manager, acknowledging the complaint and wanted to speak directly to arrange a resolution to this incident. I was advised that some of the internal processes that the company go through are confidential and that he could not disclose, but had advised that the contaminated food would be examined by an independent party and that the incident had been reported to the Environmental health. I had a call with the Environmental health officer for Southampton City council, who advised me that matters of this nature should be reported by the restaurant as soon as they happen and they confirmed that they didn’t receive any notification from them. After the admittance from their representatives and even a long discussion with the Director Faisal Jamal (who laughed at me), that there was gross negligence and gross misconduct on behalf of the company, to which they even terminated the contract of their Manager Joe, they have just ignored the whole situation and buried the situation under the carpet despite my chasing several times for a conclusion to this traumatic experience. I shocked and appalled at the way this company operates and deals with these matters, it makes me think how many incidents have been covered up by unscrupulous individuals.

My First visit, and the last. soggy buns and dried chicken. This is a wannabe fast food chain that looks good on the tin, but definitely doesn’t do what you think it might. nowhere near the taste of other chains.

Went after a shopping trip and ordered 3 wings to go with our meal, they arrived and my wife bit into one and it was very pink and bloody, so i tried the other 2 to check and they were both bloody, so took them back to the counter and the staff were very dismissive saying this is how they come???? I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to someone called Mel and she said that this is how they are 'butchered' and they are blood vessels. I have eaten in many a chicken establishment and never really experienced bloody wings and if I have I would take them back and probably receive an apology an offer of replacement or a refund, what I received from Mel was no apology and a very rude dismissive attitude, I even asked one of the other members of staff if she would eat them and her reaction was 'no I don't trust them, I never eat the chicken wings' that pretty much says it all! So if you have any problems with your food and speak to a manager don't expect any customer service whatsoever, just expect a confrontational attitude and definitely no apology! Its a shame as I won't ever eat here again and the only trouble with a bad experience you generally tell everyone about it!

I had to take the time to write a review about this place. Exceptional service, not what you expect at a fast food place in a shopping mall in the UK! The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you! Well done to them all, you rarely see this in the UK! Food - finger licking good!

First time here and the last. Pleasant initial experience and then the loooong wait for a simple meal. Watched my takeaway dry up and cool under the lamps for almost 10 minutes. Only when prompted did my food arrive. I expressed my concern about the wait but was met with the most patronising smile and have a good day. Really? Customer service is poor, the product was barely warm and the whole experience was disappointing. NO CARE!

Best chicken in Southampton. Great that you can do wings and combos meals. Buffalo sauce is proper buffalo sauce but the other sauces, I’ve tried garlic cheese, cayenne ranch and blue cheese, are all so good.

Upon seeing the name ‘Slim Chickens’, myself being a larger male thought I would not be welcomed into the establishment as I am not what you call slim. Despite this me and my friend bit the bullet and tried the place out and wow. The chicken strips were juicy peng-a-leng, the fries perfectly salted & the choice of sauces was out of this world. Coupled with the extra sides of the delicious mac & cheese and the homemade coleslaw this place is a win

I was in today for a little meal whilst doing my shopping and I was sat alone. My server was this young lad no older than 16 ,17 I’d say. He was really and made me feel welcome and not alone. I think his name began with an M but he was really nice

Was recommended to come here by a friend and we’re they right when they said it was amazing. Fast service and really good food, definitely would come back again. Was really easy to order and staff all seemed really well mannered and were very accommodating. Spoke to Joe while there who is I believe the assistant manager and he was nice and made an effort actually speak to customers, not many members of staff in these establishments do. Will be back again can’t get enough of this place!!
