1st takeaway from here. Things missing from commando chips. No onions whatsoever. Burgers were VERY DRY. 1 tiny slither of avo. Everything tasted of hot sauce and nothing else. . Very expensive for what we got. So dissapointed with this meal.

Tried a cheeseburger meal from Bennys by chance the other night and was blown away by just how tasty it was for just a basic cheeseburger. This is my second time back since and this time went for the BBQ burger with fries and milkshake. The fries are homemade skin fries and are much better than anything I have had from Maccys, Burger King, even Five Guys. Would go as far to say the burgers and milkshake kick their asses aswell. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Wow, wow, wow what a bad bad place to order food from, I ordered a burger with no salad and sauce, chips and Mozzarella sticks, the food arrived after an hour later, chips are soggy, no crunch at all, felt more like a fruit winder, still burnt and black and still had the skin on them, the mozzarella sticks more like chewing a burnt tire, cold like they’ve been sat there for century’s, now the burger, as I opened the “gourmet” burger it was a big beef patty slapped on with salad and sauce witch I specifically said don’t put in it, so after calling them back asking for my money back continuously they would not give it back. Now I’m starving now just asking for a new plain burger they finally even agreed to that all because I said I’m putting in a complaint about them. Now I’m waiting for my burger I see them arrive I step outside and the furious driver forcibly nearly enters my house I had to lock the door ( bear in mind I’ve got 4 kids 1 disabled) I got back and have a look at my burger and the disgrace of a business ess have gave me the exactly the same burger salad and sauce even though the manager said he will make it himself (which he obviously didn’t) now after calling them back and them answering and realising it was me they put down the phone and every time I try call them back they don’t answer, seriously do they call themselves a business because the only bit of business going on there is the crack feins that hang out outside the shop. Please someone needs to shut these down

Ordered for a 7:30-7:50pm delivery.i rang at 8:30 to be told it's on its way.rang again at 9:10 as I'm only 6mls away to be told it's not been made yet.was offered a bottle of coke as apology.food turned up 9:33pm chips cold,no bottle of coke!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND.poor business ethic.👎

Great fish and chips sit in or takeaway price reasonable. Nice white fish crispy chips and a good portion . Very clean premises quick and efficient. Vast menu to choose from. Recommended

Took nearly 2 hours to get food from order time. Burger nothing to write about. Chips burnt. Delivery guy quite apologetic but when you expect something for a £4.00 delivery charge you expect it on time with food that should be good according to reviews!

I have ordered from here many times but after todays order I will never order again, we are around friends houses today who we had recommended this place to and we placed a relatively large order, these could have been potential customers, it arrives after an hour with items missing including a burger, surely this should be checked before leaving the shop, I phone and ask for them to send missing items to which I am told it would be with me within 10 minutes, 1 hour later it eventually arrives after several phone calls chasing it up, I was told on the phone it would be the manager delivering and to ask for a refund as by this time everyone else’s food had gone cold, when the bloke comes to the door I ask if he is the manager to which he tells me no but the manager is in the car he will go and get him to speak to me to sort a refund, he turns and literally runs off jumps in the car and drives away, I am a 5ft woman so not like he is scared, absolutely disgusting way to treat customers. Again I phone and am told I would get a phone call within 5 minutes to sort a refund, yet here I am 20 minutes later and guess what no phone call, I will take this further!

First time trying this place out, well, I Ordered through just-eat website for delivery. Food arrived on time, it was very hot (& I live a 15min drive from the shop). The burgers were delicious. My only qualm was for a gourmet burger I thought the actual vegi burger would have been something a bit nicer than your bog-standard burger you get in fast food shops, I don’t dislike this burger I just assumed it would of been something better. Cheesy chips were loaded with cheese (much to my delight). I will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered from Uber eats, paid £30 for two of us. Tuna salad did not arrive. Chicken burger was over cooked and bun was stale. Specifically asked for a veggie patty in the other and was sent beef. Chips undercooked. All of the food was cold and the overall presentation was disgusting. Advertised as a ‘gourmet burger’ place, but the result was awful. Took an hour to be delivered. I phoned the restaurant to ask for a refund - they said they would come collect the food and that we should contact Uber for a refund. Have been waiting for an hour and still nobody has come to collect. Left very hungry and unhappy.

The food is actually really good but I've only ever ordered for collection. They have unique chips and cute takeaway boxes. Hot dogs are like no other in town.

I bought two meals for delivery (ordered via Just Eat) Part of my purchase included a tub of “Ben and Jerry’s” ice cream. We were instead provided with a cheap supermarket alternative called “Giannis” ice cream which holds a RRP of around £1.80. Suffice to say the £5 paid for the tub made this an unsatisfactory replacement as well as simply being a blatant deception - selling a dramatically lower quality good than advertised. The rest of the food sold to us was very appetising and had it not been for the previously mentioned false advertising, We would have liked to purchase from the seller in the future.

One of the nicest burgers I have had in a long while. travelled down to watch the football the night before and stayed in the hotel close by. Great burgers and great fries definitely recomend

In the past I was a regular customer at Bennys, so when I ordered again last night I was looking forward to tasting their food again. However what i received looked and tasted worse than a cheeseburger I could have purchased for 10% of the price from McDonald’s. I will not be coming back ever again, and I will also be making sure I let other people know of the appalling food standard.

Have had a few times on deliveroo and despite only really ordering the burgers (of course) the food for me was very tasty. I do actually enjoy the more hearty style of burger and you can tell it's been prepared with only fresh and tasty ingredients. Love the sweet potato chips and infinitely less expensive than somewhere comparable to me like GBK

Burger was great as always, fries were good, chicken tenders were a little dry and the milkshake was awesome but wish it had less berry seeds in it. It was all great regardless.

Disgusting! Very late and no apology from the driver just walked off. Order was wrong and food was cold.. soggy chips. Called the restaurant 10 minutes after being late and said it was on it way.... no chance. So asked for a refund for a £40+ order and got told a call back would come within 15 mins.. didn't get one and after 25 minutes.. just eat got involved to get told only £5 refund. Disgraceful.. just eat customer service bailed them out. Do not order unless you like cold, soggy and incorrect food!!

Loving bennys. I’m new to the area and this is my go to takeaway. They’re marvellous!!!! Food is always hot. Usually delivery is early. Nice delivery people. All around I’m happy with this place.

We ordered from here last night at 9pm we were told we would receive our order at 22:15. We didn’t receive our order until 11pm with the delivery driver stating it was only him. We had spent £50 and what we received was disgusting - I ordered a chicken burger which is meant to be flame grilled, tasted like it was covered in batter and was tough - definitely frozen. I ordered a chicken carpese salad, chicken was scorched it came burnt to a crisp. My sister ordered cheesy chips which firstly were over cooked secondly tasted microwaved. My sweet potato fries were soggy as anything and they were cold. For £50 I expected a better eating experience, what we was delivered I wouldn’t pay even £20 for or even give it to the dog. DISGRACEFUL service Disgusting Food, they don’t bother answering their phones. As a chef myself what I’d suggest is discipline your cooks to cook better or hire new staff, because what I had last night an imbecile could cook better - sort your overcharged business out and give people what they pay for !!! Won’t be ordering from here again unless they personally show me the service has improved or if they refund us some of the money we paid because I am downright DISGUSTED. ADVICE; DON’T ORDER FROM HERE !!

The food quality is great and tasty, but they always forget something whether it's a side of chips or something else and if you tell them they treat it as if you're lying about it.

the chicken burgers didn’t even taste like chicken was overly greasy there was that much sauce in them that they just fell apart they were thrown together and the hash browns were squished into the burger the chips were cut that thin had no potato to them for an expensive place to eat the food quality is pour we finished quarter of the food I think this place has went downhill I have ordered before and it’s been fine but this time was terrible quality for price I’m going to get some different food later due to the lack of niceness from this place I hope they will offer me money back but my brother complained not to long ago and got nowhere and due to my anxiety I don’t feel comfortable speaking on the phone after hearing that I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN

Plastic on the burger, missing item from the order, didn't follow preparation instructions and the burger was so messy that it immediately fell apart. I wanted to give them another chance after delivering the wrong salad last time. Seems like incredibly poor attention to detail.

Benny's has been our favourite place to order takeaway. The burgers and milkshakes are just great. The delivery drivers always turn up about 15mins early based on the stated delivery time too. We wanted to place an order tonight, but they are no longer delivering to SO16 which is such a shame. As a result they've lost a repeat customer just because we can no longer order! Really disappointed as I really fancied having my usual order tonight. Would happily pay a higher delivery fee if that's the issue.

Whoever decided to wrap a cheesy burger in paper that’s not really greaseproof needs a word, was picking bits of paper out of my mouth. Other than that, all spot on. Bring back your old Burger boxes though, they gave it a little jazz.

Took more than two hours before the food actually arrive

I got a different salad from what I ordered. I ordered the caprese salad and the salad I got looked very much like a caesar salad .

Terrible service food was booked in to be delivered at 20:55 I initially called the restaurant at 21:13 to be told that my food had left and will be with me within 5-10 minutes. Called again at 21:35 as good still hadn’t arrived and staff apologised and was then passed onto a manager who said it was the girls first day and he advised food had just left and will be with me in 10 minutes agreed to pay a lesser amount due to length of delivery! Called again at 21:54 as food still hadn’t arrived was told that it should have. Driver eventually arrived at 22:00 when I refused delivery and advised that I would never be ordering again and would be leaving feedback!!

Food came 80 minutes later than given time, with the order incorrect (asked for no mayo in all burgers and mayo was given in all three), and food not fresh.

Ordered at 20:00, was confirmed by the restaurant and expected to be delivered by 21:05, at 21:15 the message changed to say it was on its way. The food was still not here by 21:45 and the online status told us it was delivered at 21:05, which it had not, so we called to see where it was. We were told it was on its way and it would be 10 minutes. It was still not here by 22:00 so we called again. This time the same person answered and another member of staff took over. This member of staff was very rude, saying that he was 100% sure that he had personally delivered it to us and continued to argue and imply that we were lying until we had to mention that he must have got the wrong house and that we are not the kind of people to be dishonest or make a fuss over nothing. They then backed down and said it would be delivered within 20 minutes. It was eventually delivered at 22:45, 2 hours and 45 minutes after we put in our order. The food is actually pretty tasty but the customer service and time is absolutely appalling.

I won’t be ordering from this place again. I live in a block of flats and live on the third floor. The delivery driver did not want to come up to deliver the food even though there is a lift. I also have 3 small children and had knock at my neighbours door at 10pm at night to watch the kids whilst I get the food. Drivers excuse was there’s no parking and then the door doesn’t work. I can see clearly from the intercom that when I pressed the button to open the door he never pulled it. I told him to pull it ample times but he didn’t. anyway by the time I went downstairs to get the food, and sat to eat. it was cold. I heated it in the microwave the burger bun was soggy and not really eatable so only had the milkshake. poor service and not child friendly, not suitable for people living in flats !!!!

yesterday we ordered two burgers and my boyfriend put NO MAYO, cuz he hate it and of course, they put the mayo in his burger and he didn’t eat that. I throw out big fillet of chicken, taste wasn’t so nice. We wanted so much eat and in the end I spend 20 pounds for nothing, cheesy chips been more than disgusting. first and last time I ordered food from this place 😉

The fries for the kids meal weren't just salted but overly salted. My burger didn't have any jalapeños in it and just looked a mess. And they were 30 minutes late

ordered from here 3 times first 2 times were great and the food is amazing, third time after over an hour waiting i called the restaurant just to be told there driver was running late and my food would be another 5-10 minutes, after another hour (2hours now) i called again to be told that there driver hasnt turned up for work, i asked to cancel my order and they told me they wouldnt do that as they have made the food i had to call just eat themselves to get my money back. it seems a fe people have had this kind of thing happen to them if you look through the other reviews.

order from here loads of times and I’m usually pleased each time but my last order wasn’t up to scratch the burger, fries and milkshake were all fine but the ceasar salad I received was just mayo I’m certain ! use to love their salads but paying 6 pound for a bit of mayo on lettuce is terrible. it has gone very down hill ! doesn’t sell noodles anymore nor do they have the good packaging they use to all while charging about 2 pound more on everything, I’d expect the prices to go down not up. hopefully this was a one off bad experience

Step aside 5 guys, Benny’s is here! Best homemade fries I’ve ever had, lovely chicken, and that burger was delish; albeit a bit thick on the salad (Also, I’m not a fan of tomatoes or mayo, but pulling the tomato out and adding some sauce solves that for me; I can’t expect all burgers to meet my tastes immediately) gf ordered her Chinese & was told it would arrive by 10, it came at 10:45. I ordered my burger & was told it would arrive by 11, it was here by 10:20. a bit sooner than expected, but not bad at all. Also she was jealous. I win

I have ordered Texas Bronco Burger with beef and Greek Odyssey Burger with chicken and I received them totally mixed up. No spinach on Greek Odyssey Burger and hardly any lettuce on Texas Bronco Burger, chips were dry and discusting like microwaved 10 times, same with meat. Very dissapointed, discusting food, do not reccomend.

Due at 8:25 - arrived after 9pm - called them at 8:45 to ask where it was, got told it would be 10 mins. They should have phoned me to tell me that. Left specific instructions that there were to be no onions, no onion salsa and no tomato ... and phoned them as well to make sure. When it eventually arrived it was free of onions, but still had tomatoes on ! Needless to say they weren't eaten. Total waste of money. Cheesy chips were good.. But not good enough overall to use again. In fact .. I should be refunded.

If you enjoy greasy, burger van food then Benny’s is right up your street! Ordered 2 classic burgers - the buns were flat, the patty was rock hard, the lettuce resembled over cooked cabbage, and there was so much grease, so, so much! Ordered 3 lots of cheesy chips and I’m not sure what happened but my portion came in a box which was melted on one side, it was MELTED (I have pictures but sadly can’t upload to this review). The chips themselves were not chips, they were cremated potatoes and anyone calling them chips needs to re-evaluate everything they’ve ever known about food and what constitutes as good food! On a more positive note my son said the kid’s nuggets were “amazing” but this is from the kid who drowns every meal in tomato ketchup (not even kidding!), so don’t base any decision to buy the nuggets on his opinion! To summarise, I don’t know what happened tonight but the food was disgusting! Will not be giving Benny’s a 2nd chance!

The first time got food from here the burger was spot on, the fries were over seasoned but not enough to put me off, the second time was delivery, the burger was good, not as hot as i would have liked (personal preference) fries were a little cold and over seasoned. so i figured delivery was not the way to go. the last time I ordered the fries were perfect but the burger was burnt? they cant seem to get it just right...? they didnt card in store but deliveroo did accept card

Visited 11/11/17 in the evening and ordered beef holy burger meal. This was the worst burger ever i had in my life. I heard so many compliments about this place but really disappointed with the quality and taste of food. They are expensive too. Wont recommend to anyone.

This was the second and last time we have ever ordered from here. My partner always used to go to Benny's and has praised their food, apparantely, over a year ago their food delivery service was also not that bad. However, in the past month we've ordered twice and both times had the same issues basically. Instead of popcorn shrimp, got chicken, which is cheaper and not what we have ordered. No call from the restaurant to inform that they don't have shrimp, no warning from the driver, nothing. Even worse, the chicken tenders seem to be shaped in the same shape as prawns as if they're hoping people will be that stupid and not notice. The first time we couldn't be bothered as we were absolutely starving (as the delivery was late too) so we just left it then. But this time we weren't having any of it, as the food was 20minutes late ! Called in, was told to call in half an hour once the manager is back. Did that and the manager or the person claiming to be one was utterly unhelpful. Just kept repeating that their supplier does not have shrimp. How is that our problem? We should have been informed via phone before the delivery and asked what we want to do in this case. Then , he asked very rudely 'what do you want me to do?' Asked for our money back. So, then he told me that he is going to send the driver back, i will have to give BACK the chicken and only then i'll get my money back. That is when an even worse realisation came - the chicken was stale and dry, which most likely means it is from some other customers that were tricked like we were. Disgusting. UPDATE: the 'driver' which i think was the same guy i spoke on the phone just came to give our money back lol not only he was reluctant to do so but also was incredibly rude . All in all, mediocre food, definitely not worth the money, rather go to McDonald's next time.. Timing horrible, 20minutes late on both occassions and customer service is NON EXISTENT NEVER ORDER FROM BENNY'S

The sweet potato fries were not cooked properly & were hard. We ordered & paid for 2 cans of coke which weren’t delivered. Didn’t bother ringing because when that has happened with other places they just offer money off next order. There were no labels on the burgers so we had to take them apart to see what they were. It is a shame because the burgers were actually really good & so were the ordinary fries.

So I ordered a Unicorn milkshake to be presented with a strawberry milkshake missing the wafer straw, kinder bueno , the hundred and thousand sprinkles and the cherry on top. If I wanted a plain strawberry milkshake I would have ordered one. Food was average. Will not be returning

The Holy guacamole burger I ordered was delecious. I would definitely order it again. The sweet potato fries were average coz obviously they were soggy, but they were good enough. I didn’t like the sweetcorn. It was tasteless and over cooked. The food was delivered before the given time which was good.
