Having had a good fast-food lunch in the Birmingham Slim Chickens, we were keen to try the Crawley one. But we won't be in there again. Having paid £14 for a chicken burger, chips and drink meal, you'd expect something decent. However, the burger was kind of soggy-feeling and the chips were very over-salted. The drink was alright but that just says the drinks machine supplier had done their job well. With McDonalds as a junk fast-food baseline, you'd expect something a considerable notch up from that for what's about double the price. Very let done, won't be going again. The restaurant itself, a high room with no false ceiling, has no atmosphere so there's nothing to pull anyone in on any front.

What great service And the food is absolutely superb. All fresh and cooked just right. Pity we don’t have one of these in Shrewsbury. Wipes spots off KFC and will always use these in future when travelling. Fantastic

We stopped by before our cinema trip. The kids really enjoyed their chicken meals and timings were spot on. Next time we book for the cinema we’ll definitely be stopping by again.

Well what can I say if you have a nice healthy bank balance this is the place to go so overpriced for what it is Hardly any selection for food for example chicken tenders a wrap and two burgers The place is not warm or inviting and to pay so much expense they had toilet roll as napkins on the table Tried it once never again better places and better prices around

Having been to another slim chickens in London, we tried the Crawley one. Food is fine, it is what it is fried chicken tasty fast food, great variety of dips, nice fries, and we enjoy the garlic bread too, with the combo meal. The environment and atmosphere is slightly dead. The place doesn’t seem completely clean, which sticky flooring and table tops. The staff are friendly, but the place looks tired and it’s not been in Crawley long. A major competitor is coming across the road soon, my firm favourite. I hope Slim chickens ups their game. Simple changes would help encourage more custom, thoroughly cleaning the restaurant including the toilets, which on occasions have been poor. Placing napkins on the tables rather than kitchen roll, (it looks awful, and gets sticky from others not very hygienic) music on rather than sport depending on time of day. The screen can be pointless causing unnecessary distraction. Updating the booths as already the look tatty and tired, it’s a favourite place to sit for a lot of people, let them enjoy that.

Was expecting so much! Walked in to a dirty disorganised mess. Cleaned my table and seat and waited for food. Should have taken it as a message and left, the food was awful. Ordered wings ate two,only ate the second one to see if the first one was really that bad, it was. No taste of chicken at all just a spongey soggy mess inside a fairly tasteless coating. Don’t bother going

Bad customer service! Even the delivery service they using is the worst Uber Eats! Avoid avoid avoid! I have just lost £30 and I never got my food! I will never buy from this restaurant ever again

Completely underwhelmed by this place. The staff were fine, but the food was very, very average. The coating on the chicken was so salty it was almost inedible. From the outside it looked like it was going to be a proper restaurant rather than a take away joint. There's nothing new here and, for what it was, it's very expensive. We were curious to try it, but won't be returning.

Very busy time, it was packed. However, food was very prompt and nice. Staff were friendly and the place was very clean. I was impressed with the staff, good service.

This was the first time we visited here, and I can say we were pleasantly surprised. The quality of the food was excellent and quite big portions. I would recommend a visit here.

Food was overpriced, very bland, restaurant was dirty. They didn’t clean the tables or floor. Food took a long time and they got the order wrong. The chicken was tasteless. Would rather spend less and go to KFC!

I’m not one to easily leave reviews but felt I had to on this occasion. My first at Slim Chickens Crawley and my last. If It were possible to give zero stars then that’s what I would give, that’s how awful it was for me. It’s got to be the worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. Firstly, upon entering the restaurant, areas of the floor were slippery under foot – that was a glue to the type of food that was going to be served! Secondly, expensive, one Classic Chicken Sandwich, a 500ml bottle of still water and a honey mustard sauce, eat in, cost me £8.45 . Hot drinks not available, Thirdly, the chicken breast was mega greasy, so much so it had completely saturated the burger bun and the salad. I left the bun and the salad as they were inedible but decided to persevere with the greasy chicken. I wish I hadn’t as it left me with a horrible greasy taste on my palate and later on in the evening it went on to give me indigestion. My friend ordered the sandwich with cheese, fries and a coke and it cost her £11 90 with her experience being the same. She also said her fries were very salty and inedible I am fully aware that generally fast food restaurants are not particularly healthy but Slim Chickens give you an extra layer of unhealthy grease and salt, to boot. We live and learn. I can’t recommend this food, go somewhere else to eat.

This has to be the worst ‘fast food’ restaurant I have ever been to. The chicken was tough the fries were refried so not fresh and the restaurant was disgusting. Every table was sticky and there were tables with mess in for the entirety of our visit. Do not go there if you are expecting value for money or good tasting food.

My first time at Slim Chickens and I was really happy with the quality of the food and how quickly it came out . We were served by a lovely polite friendly young lady called Grace who was extremely helpful about the menu abd questions I asked. I will certainly come again

Very disappointing, had the buffalo wrap - was awful! Way too much sauce and sauce was very salty was impossible to eat husband had same and felt unwell all day after eating. Shame as looked to have good potential.

been twice now, once eat in and once takeaway, Both times the food (tenders, burger and fries) have been delicious and hot. The staff are friendly, and the food was fast. the chicken is real chicken and not greasy or dry, the chips are nice. The sauces are great, nice to get two included in a five tender meal, the best so far has been the garlic cheese dip. Will definitely go again,

My kids were very excited to visit this recently opened branch of Slim Chickens in Crawley. It was awful. Overpriced (£60 for the four of us to have a standard burger meal with fries and a drink) and when it arrived the chicken was stone cold in the burger and the fries were barely warm. Drinks were very good. When we complained the manager explained everything is cooked to order and temperature checked before it leaves the kitchen- over his shoulder we saw the kitchen in operation. There was a large tub of chicken tenders which staff grabbed from the tub with bare hands and arranged in serving baskets with chips to serve to customers. Will not be returning.
