Lovely food and a friendly waiter, we had 3 courses and enjoyed all of them. We thought the price was reasonable, room between the tables was big enough for even me!

Forgot how good this was, if you ever get chance to go make sure you do. The food is 10/10 and the staff can’t do enough for you .

Have only had takeaways from here, but every time it has been fresh and delicious! Definitely our favourite Thai in the area. The Pad See Ew is delicious.

Can’t fault the food or service! Four of us went for belated birthday celebrations. The food was beautiful, as were the mocktails and the waiter was lovely. We’d definitely go again and highly recommend ☺️

We booked this restaurant for my husband's birthday. Starting positive the welcome and staff were lovely and the place is clean and nicely decorated. The problem is we were both cold even though it had been open 2 hours. The food was presented nicely but was average and for a Thai restaurant we would expect jasmine rice to be soft and fluffy not dry and lumpy. The best part was the chicken green curry. Overall disappointing we went home for a hot chocolate.

I am genuinely shocked that people find this restaurant a high standard of food. The starters tasted like something from a frozen section at iceland.Maybe the prawn tenpura was ok but the duck spring rolls and ribs were terrible. The mains my beef curry was poor hardly any beef what so ever maybe 5 little strips of thin cut beef my friends sea food dish had 2 prawns and 1 mussel. The staff were lovely but let down by cost cutting in the kitchen.

Lovely food. Was very quiet when we went but that was a Wednesday night.

Rang to ask if they could cater for gluten free was told that they could. On arrival found a very limited menu. Food was cold and very limited meat in dishes. Definitely not worth a return visit. Disappointing.

I have not been to too many Thai restaurants but eaten here twice. Enjoyed it so much, worth a visit combine it with a night out in Ponte and be ready for a great night out.

Great service, calm atmosphere. Food good but without wow effect. Tom Kha soup vert tasty, dumplings with fantastic sauce also very good. Pad Thai not my taste and unfortunately papaya salad a little bit disappointed. General experience- solid good.

Always love this place. Staff are fantastic and food always good, there were 4 of us had pork ribs, spicy salmon salad, prawn toast and tom kha soup for starters which were excellent. Mains were Thai green curry with chicken , duck and cashew nuts, pork with chilli 🌶 and holy basil with Thai jasmine rice and Pad Thai noodles 🍜 again all brilliant. Obvs will be back.

Look no further Great place to eat in and order a take out from Garlic ribs are fab - different to the usual bbq and peeking range but does not disappoint TEMPURA PRAWNS AND PRAWN TOAST!! Amazeeballs!!! Love it and the sauce that comes with Fab chicken pad Thai!! Abs delish. Spicey, fabulously cooked noodles which are light and not stodgy in anyway. Authentic Thai cuisine. Expensive but again worth every penny! Great place to take your date / friends to. Restaurant is amazing, love the feel and the staff are amazing - friendly , helpful and will always advise you on the dishes if you are ever unsure. Thank you guys !!! Xx

Lovely experience. Everyone was pleasant, accommodating and had beautiful manners. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so good! Thankyou very much so much better than other restaurants nearby.

The food and service was great. My only disappointment was that the hottest item on the menu wasn't actually that hot and I'm not usually that great with hot foods. We did inform the chef and the staff took it well. Maybe it was a mistake so I might try again next time I'm there.

We got takeaway. Food was delicious. Nice portion size too. Plenty of noodles packed into those plastic containers! We had pad Thai and Penang Chicken curry. We also had the mixed starter for two. Was nice, but felt if anything the prawn toast could have been a lot better. I’m being picky though. All in all, really enjoyed it.

So what if the menus were done in Canva free on a phone... food is top nob !! Salad is just the right level of spice and the soup is amazing, rivalling what cho-baby's famous soup (white chicken curry) used to be before they sacked the cook who was making it. Prices are reasonable for alacarte. Menu could do with some chilli ratings though, and the liqueur bit needs it pointing out they are shots. V courteous staff. Overall impressed. Namaste'

First visit and def won’t be the last Food was amazing so fresh and delicious The dishes weren’t what I was expecting , I ordered prawn satay for starter. The prawns were on skewers with veg and the sauce came in a little pot , I would have liked more sauce as it was very tasty My partner had ribs for main that came with a papaya salad , very unusual but very tasty I am going to go back and try the Thai green curry next time as someone who was in the restaurant that night recommended it

A really pleasant surprise. I just walked into Pontefract town centre & came across this restaurant. Don't be put off by the slightly shabby ambience - the food was delicious. Spicy, tasty, beautifully presented & politely served. I will be visiting again whenever I'm back in the area.

I wanted to write a review of Skyline as we have been tonight and had beautiful food in a restaurant that was almost empty. The staff have great social distancing and covid safety measures in place so if you are still looking to eat out in these strange times then I highly recommend this lovely local restaurant. Lovely food and a nice atmosphere

We had an amazing evening! The food was incredible (would recommend the sweetcorn cakes) and they timed how long between each course perfectly! The menu has a really nice variety of Thai food (there is something for everyone!) The staff are always so welcoming and polite. Couldn't wish for a nicer evening. Would definitely recommend and will be returning, thank you so much!

Never been to a Thai restaurant before and found one local to us in Pontefract.Service and food was good and delicious however only a 4 out of 5 due to cleanliness cobwebs hanging from everywhere and use of a tower fan in our current climate is a no no 4 of us dined and had a bottle of prosecco and 2 couse meal £90

Love this place - food has been brilliant every time we have gone (think 4 times now).We get different dishes each time so cant remember specifically which ones but tried a variety off the menu. I always get the Tom Yum soup for a starter though which is delicious. Havent been since it has reopened after lockdown but cant wait to go again.The guy who works (or owns - not sure) there is always so lovely and accommodating.The place itself is cute and small. It doesn't pretend to be flashy any I like that! I have been as a couple and also a group. It caters for all.

TLDR: food: 5, service: 5, environment: 2 MY wife made a face as we entered. The decor was a little...faded, looking about 20 years old. The molding halfway up the walls had a thin layer of dust, although everywhere else looked clean. The place looked as if it was struggling for customers. Even on a Wednesday night, surely they should have more than the lone couple we passed on the way in? Not wanting to go looking for another place to have dinner, we decided to chance it. I had a steak in sizzling sauce calling Weeping Tiger, and wifey had a starter of prawns tempura, and the special fried rice, with chicken and pork. She was very surprised how good the starter was, as was the pina colada she later ordered. When the Weeping Tiger came, sizzling in a cast-iron dish, I was intruiged. It tasted fantastic, complete with sauteed mixed vegetables and sticky rice. My wife also enjoyed her meal quite a lot, and we ended the evening pleasantly, having been attended by a courteous and helpful waiter. Overally, we enjoyed the meal, but next time, I might do a takeaway.

After reading the reviews on here, we were really looking forward to eating here. However, the promise and the reality did not align. It might of been because we were first in, at opening, on a Saturday night, it might of been a one-off but it was enough for us to not want to return.The sharing platter we had to start with was OK. Some aspects of it were nice, others were really bland. My wife had the Thai Green Curry with sticky rice. The curry was quite greasy, where you could see the grease pooling on top of the dish. I had Beef Penang. Again, as with the starter, parts of the bed had been cooked really well but others were as tough as old boots. We both had a portion of sticky rice which, when served, came as two blobs of rice that we found difficult to incorporate into our meals. Rest assured, we did not order dessert. After pining for a Thai restaurant closer to us than Leeds, we thought our prayers had been answered. Unfortunately, it’s back to the drawing board.

The food here is amazing and love this place the only fault I have to say is valentine's day was a huge disappointment due the compulsory valentine's set menu apart from that I have no need to visit Thailand now as I only travel to sample food and I was recommended to try skyline from a friend who has actually lived in Thailand who genuinely hasn't had better food even in actual Thailand. Skyline you just saved me 2grand lol!! Go there!! Xx

Food nice, service OK, we were a group of 13 an they missed a meal off, out friend didn't get her meal until most of us had finished, an she was sharing rice with a friend and didn't get that replaced it had gone cold, then to add insult to injury we were charged the service charge, which our friend said has never happened before has she's been a few times, we paid the service charge but didn't leave a tip because of this, was this wrong of us??? .

Really glad that Pontefract has this gem of a Thai restaurant. It was so busy last night which is great to see. Excellent food. My sea bass in Penang sauce was delicious and the Jungle curry was spicy and tasty. The waitresses were wonderful, super efficient and friendly. Recommended.

When in Pontefract we always eat here - would give 4/5 stars - but last night we booked and arrived only to be offered a VERY limited valentine's menu. We asked if the normal menu was available but apparently not - the green curry wasn't up to their normal high standard. Most disappointing. To add insult to injury, the full menu was available for takeaway and we had to watch dishes we would have preferred being dispatched. I doubt if we will return.

We had the valentines special menu. For a set menu we where spoiled for choice. Starters main course. Drinks all served promptly and to a wonderful standard. I was too busy eating with my hands to take a picture. But I will be back again. Would recommend freindly lovely time thank you.

Brilliant! My wife has to follow a gluten free diet and there is lots on the menu that she can have! They are great with big groups and the food is always excellent! If you let them know it's your birthday the staff will literally give you a song and dance with tambourines and drums!

We went with some friends and it was our first visit. We were welcomed by a very pleasant man and shown to our table. The menu is extensive but the food was beautifully presented and plentiful. It’s a little bit expensive for a midweek evening meal but I would definitely recommend and will return.

Decided to give this place a try as a birthday treat and really glad we did what a lovely place with an excellent menu. Nothing was too much trouble, my girlfriend requires gluten free food and they offered any meal with a gluten free option. The food was to die for both starters and mains absolutely gorgeous even my finnicky 14 yr old son cleared his plate... Prices reasonable and staff courteous and pleasant... will definately return

My little sister recommended this resturant/ takeaway. It was absolutely beautiful would recommend it to anyone. Only negative is you have to pick up your takeaway.

Went for a family birthday on a Thursday night, got parked on street outside as free after 6pm. The food was great, had different starters as there was 4 of us, all loved it. Main course me and hubby had pad thai which was really nice, son had weeping tiger which he said was fab. Would defo go again, would probably share starters next time though as I struggled to finish my main course.

Everything was amazing from the food to the service. The waiter was so friendly and efficient. I had tempura prawns for starter and my partner had beef salad, both amazing. Mains we had stir fried sweet and sour pork, jungle curry with sides of sticky rice and egg noodles, all absolutely stunning. An absolute little gem of a restaurant for Pontefract!

I’ve been eating here for over 4 years, I don’t live in the area now but I come to Skyline whenever I can. My meal tonight once again reminded me how much of a gem this little restaurant is. It astounds me how busy all the rubbish chains places near by are compared to this wonderful freshly cooked Thai food. The meal I had tonight was as good as any where I’ve eaten in Thailand. And it’s in Pontefract! A MUST VISIT

This was the most terrible meal I have ever eaten (and I am not a fussy eater, nor one to usually write a review). I had a lamb shank curry and was highly concerned by the fact that whilst it was warm on the outside, it was chilled (not luke warm, COLD as though just out of a fridge) on the inside. You know it’s bad when you get crinkle cut chips and the beef is described by one of your fellow diners as “tasting like it contains poison”. Also, Coca Cola (which I doubt it actual Coca Cola) is as flat a pancake - no wait, a crepe. This was truly truly a bad pre Mother’s Day meal. Ps - all curries contain hard broccoli and cauliflower. NEVER AGAIN.

It was much warmer in the restaurant and with new seat covers this time. Mixed starter was lovely. The mains were ok...prawn red Thai curry was really nice but the beef in oyster sauce was chewy and a bit underwhelming. The noodle side dish just looked rushed and just plonked in a dish. It felt they couldn't be bothered this time to take care over the meal. Shame as we have had some amazing dishes here previously.

Went to skyline with my wife and son who was home from university weds evening meal, it was quiet but the food was delicious, only ever had Thai food twice before but this was the best,had a mixed starter and a Thai red curry all cooked perfectly as we're the other dishes,the restaurant itself is in need of a little TLC would highly recommend food

3 couples booked for 8.30pmFood was lovely.. no complaints.But we all all frozen waiting forever forvh food to arrive2 and a half hours from ordering to getting our main course.Just far too long and like sitting in a greenhouse in winter Rubbish as we had recommended and no one wants to go backWe have enjoyed take aways though but would probably prefer to drive into leeds in future

I had a thoroughly lovely meal here. The spelling on the menu is slightly eccentric but the food is superb, I had the chicken in oyster sauce which was beautiful, full of chicken and vegetables and with just the right amount of kick.The service was prompt and with rice and a glass of house wine the bill came to £16.95 which is fair.The restaurant and toilets were clean and well presented with a central location.Overall I can certainly recommend having a meal here.

A small, quaint restaurant with from what i could see the busiest frontman holding the fort! Very friendly and helpful guy finding tables for customers, taking orders, bringing drinks, bringing food, clearing tables away, taking payments and keeping all customers happy! Everyone else must have been in the kitchen making the delicious food! We had reserved a table for two and when we arrived it was quite full downstairs. Our orders were taken quickly and our sharing platter starter arrived quickly and presented beautifully, along with a pickle tray with various sauces. I ordered the beef massaman curry, i am not familiar with Thai food other than the red and green curries, so wasnt sure what to expect. When it arrived there was lots to eat, plenty of lovely vegetables in it and slices of beef. Pretty much a sunday roast in curry form! It was lovely! The toilets are upstairs and there is also an upstairs eating area but this was closed off. I cant remember how much we paid, but regardless, it was worth it!
