Wizzy is providing lunches until it closes on June 22! If you check their Instagram account before you go, you’ll know if there is lunch that day. As for dinner, it is available in two seatings every Friday and Saturday. The hours are incorrect. The lunch timings are roughly 12:30-13:30 but food may run out faster on some days. The lunch box is just £4.5 and you get generous portions and many options, different every day. It’s nourishing and delicious at the same time, honestly the highlight of my days working in the office! The dinner’s portions are huge as well, with so many courses. I’d recommend going there with others, but for lunch, it’s nice to go by yourself as well and have a chat with Wizzy who always has lots of insights to share about food, the environment, and her philosophy!

Best restaurant I've been to in ages. Laid back friendly atmosphere with inspiring and creative food pairings that taste delicious and full of goodness. The boldness of not having a menu is actually really refreshing and I loved not having to pick something off a menu for a change.

Food was ok? The fruit and crab salad was my favourite thing. Main was too salty and kind of a chore to get through. It was really boring to eat, flavor wise. I didn't like it. I like the rice mixed with nuts and potatoes though, that was nice. The desert was a generic chocolate mousse and I was hoping for something more interesting. Really hated the long table seating. It's not a friendly place for people who don't like crowds and loud noises. Also this is not the fault of the restaurant but it smells so bad outside (strong urine odour) and every time someone opens the door the smell wafts in and it was honestly so disgusting. Also we booked for 6:30 and the food didn't even start coming out past 7 so what was the point? 😭 We just had to sit around for 30 minutes waiting for food to even begin. I was really looking forward to this evening as this place was highly recommended to me but it was honestly very disappointing.

Note: this hidden gem is on the upper floor! Food tastes like home, made with love. Service is dedicated. Atmosphere is secluded, musty, authentic, homemade. Price is twenty pounds per person for all the meals. There's a bring your own alcohol policy in place, a small charge applies - well worth it. All the people are on one long table, dishes get served A hidden gem, alternative! And it should remain hidden, a hipsters vibe - it's that good. Most importantly, effort and love have been poured into this tiny crevice, culture pouring into the guests. Additional plus - you can buy home made kimchi. Show me a better place I'll wait.

Unique experience, you’ll be able to eat lots of different dishes in one setting. I liked the concept of set menu and you get a lovely surprise in each course. We were absolutely full after the dessert so very good value for money as well. The only thing I would like to have had is the menu in detail and possibly the heritage of each dish? I wasn’t sure how a lot of things we ate were related to Korea. Probably because I don’t know enough about Korean cuisine. Anyway it was full of flavour and I was very happy to eat so many different kinds of food.

I'm not really sure what this restaurant is trying to be. We had a taster menu which consisted of a starter of some fruit, with confit pork. Both of which were nice, but took an hour to arrive. The main course was a series of mini dishes, all of which were pleasant, but didn't seem to have a cohesive theme. It included kimchee, mussels, omelette, whole prawns, potato in filo parcels, crispy anchovies, greek salad, korean chicken, and some others. This was also supported by a dish of rice with many - seemingly arbitrary - ingredients in it. The dessert was a chocolate mousse with various pieces of fruit in it. None of these dishes were by any means unpleasant, but it felt like an attempt to pack as many ingredients into a single meal as possible. None the less the food was well priced, though I did eat again when I got home.

What a treat! The menu is more or less fixed, for each evening (unless you have any allergies - let the restaurant know). Many different tastes and ingredients, with so much of it clearly having a great deal of thought and experience brought to the creation. The food is served to all at around 7:00 PM. Seating is on each side of a long table, so you're able to talk to your neighbours about the food, what brought you there, and indeed anything else while you marvel at the excellent meal. Wizzy does an exquisite job of melding together the most unusual flavours into a coherent whole. Flavours from France combine with Korean ingredients, inviting the palette to a completely new experience. I would highly recommend this place to groups or couples as the experience of sharing a large plate of stewed fish in a fragrant broth is elevated when shared. While some dishes are very explorative and dare I say, eccentric, others combine warm flavours of beef, garlic and rosemary eliciting a feeling of nostalgia. Make sure to book in advance, send over your deposit and re-confirm! A one-chef kitchen is hard to run, so please be kind to the lovely staff. Also good sized portions for the price.

We wanted to love it, but a few things interrupted the experience. Positive: The food was very nice (1 omnivore, 1 vegetarian). Ensure you tell the chef of dietary restrictions when booking, because it is a set menu. It’s a good value for £17.50 pp plus £3 corkage fee. The spicy kimchi was a standout! Constructive: The booking system left much to be desired. We were issued a 18:30 seating, yet the rest of the 15+ diners were issued a 19:00 seating, and none of us were served until the last latecomers arrived at 19:10. Two people who had a confirmed reservation were turned away due to overbooking, with nothing other than an apology.

I had been looking forward to eating at Sky Kong Kong for a long time, given its reputation. However, the experience was really disappointing. The take on Korean food was very peculiar - we were served lamb chops and a kind of beef pasty (which really did just taste like a ... meat pasty) along with some steamed salmon. The starter was an odd assortment of sliced fruit and vegetables which tasted much as a plate of plain, sliced fruit and veg might be expected to. Most strange was the kimchi which had the texture of jam, rather than the distinctive crunch which defines the dish (or any kind of pickle). It just felt very un-Korean! Given how much this experience differed from most reviews, it may be that the chef was out of sorts - or out of ingredients. The idea is great, and the informal atmosphere was nice, but on this occasion the food was a bit of a let-down.

Bland food, dry lamp chop, kimchi soggy and tasteless, average and bland king prawn (and how is that local produce?), chocolate mousse had strange gloopy texture. We were so looking forward to this as the reviews were amazing. I loved the idea of a fixed menu. Also, the place was filthy - I didn’t stay to use the bath room. Early shift we were kicked out within an hour and 30mins. Were the reviews fake? Was she sick that day? Did some else cook and it’s not the same cook? It’s a mystery but I don’t recommend going there. So depressing when you don’t get many nights out at the moment.

Close to the Bear Pit, this tiny restaurant shines a big light on fantastic food at incredible value. We ate things we'd never experienced before and the flavours were incredible. Not for people that like their own space, the long table might stifle intimate conversation...

This is not 'just a meal' it is an event, an adventure and an experience. All the food we were given was so different from any we had had before, and was all perfect, the waitress is a delight not only serving us but giving a detailed description of what we were being offered. My only regret is it is in Bristol and we live in Leicester otherwise we;d be there every night, do yourselves a favour and give it a go, I am sure you will not regret it.

Interesting way to dine and one that I have never experience before. No menu, you just get what you're given and that can be made up of food across a broad range of cuisines (which I imagine has the potential to upset some people with dietary prejudices or requirements, although they will accommodate you where they can). Diners sit around one long communal table which is cosy. The food was absolutely on point.

I believe my main concern with this "pocket rocket" Korean eatery is not with the food, but the format. If you are unlucky enough to dislike, (or be unable to eat), something on the fixed menu, then you could end up feeling a little cheated.

Went to Sky Hong Kong with friends for my birthday. The food was amazing - unusual enough to be interesting and familiar enough to be simply delicious. The service was lovely and friendly. Loved the huge jars of pickles on the shelves. Incredible value too. We enjoyed sharing a long table and liked the mismatched crockery. Really fun, unusual dining experience! reallly recommend. Also nice to know that because it’s set menu only, they buy exactly what they need for the evening, so no waste!

Not easy to find, but well worth the effort. A small eatery, with one long communal table that would survive an earthquake. Fascinating shelves full of preserves and stores. Booking probably essential in the evening. Taste and texture wise this was quite an adventure. Good quality ingredients cooked and served to a high standard. If a white tablecloth and tasteful decor are important to you, go elsewhere. Very good value. I have eaten out many times, but never in a venue like this. Recommended.

Having been to Sky Kong Kong a few years ago, soon after it opened, and categorising it as a ‘curio’, we figured it was worth a return visit to see how it had bedded down. Afterall, to still be going strong in Bristol’s competitive dining market says it must be doing something right.

I'm so glad a friend recommended this place. I'm from London but visited while I was in Bristol and was blown away. The food was absolutely incredible. You pay £12.50 and get a starter, main and sides (dessert is an extra £2.50) from the changing daily menu. Every course we had was full of flavour and unique. It's also BYOB (£1.50 corkage per person). It feels very different too - you all sit along one long wooden table and chat to the people next to you. We went for the 7pm sitting and there were spare seats so you didn't feel crowded. I'm pescatarian but don't eat shellfish - mentioned this when booking and still had plenty of food. I think it would be more of a challenge for vegetarians as we had fish in both the starter and main courses. What a gem.

Yep, absolutely delicious. I'm a militant veggie and my dining companion a pescatarian - out of the 6 dishes served, only 1 was unsuitable for me. Everything served was beautifully prepared and seasoned, full of that wonderful slightly picked, slightly fermented Korean flavour, and presented with care and reverence.

This place was BUSY!!! You could tell it’s a neighborhood favorite. We decided to wait to wait for a table. Boy are we glad we did! The ramen dishes were so flavorful. We went to go back later in the week and it looked like they were temporarily closed to mentally regroup. Props to yall and much respect for doing so. 🤍

I used to order from Tuk tuck thru Deliveroo and always loved it. Pad thai and dumplings are my personal favorite and I have ordered them for like many times. Yesterday we wanna try eat in and went to their restaurant and ordered all our favorites. And found a hair in pad thai along with noodles 🥺😒 we informed the waitress, they didn't react much as it seems like regular thing. Never apologized and took our plates silently. Didn't expected this and left the place disappointed. Will never visit tuk tuck or order a take away, you lost me Tuk Tuck. Definitely need to improve your hygiene standards and servicing skills. Update: Thank you for your reply. However, I must clarify a few points. We politely called the waitress aside, as we didn’t want to disrupt the experience of nearby tables, and informed her about the hair in our Pad Thai. Unfortunately, her response felt robotic, with no genuine apology or regret, as she simply stated, “Do you want a refund or a free meal?” After seeing a hair in our food, it’s natural for anyone to lose their appetite, so we declined both offers. The plates were taken away, and we were left waiting for any acknowledgment, which is a basic aspect of hospitality. Instead, the waitress returned from the kitchen, did not address us, and continued writing on the board. This lack of empathy gave the impression that she didn’t feel accountable for the situation. We understand that the fault likely lies with the kitchen, but as a team, it’s crucial to take responsibility for the overall experience. This feedback isn’t to place blame, but to share our perspective as customers. Not everyone is looking for a refund or a free meal. What we seek is a genuine acknowledgment of the issue and actions that show the experience matters. To us, this encounter felt more like a vending machine transaction than a restaurant experience. We hope this feedback helps improve future interactions for other customers.

Booked a table for a group of 11, the food didn't take long to come, and all the dishes were really tasty. The menu is good value and the staff are friendly, giving us an extra portion after a mix-up with our order. If you go our recommendation is definitely the katsu curry!
