Itsu in Bristol, City of

It's Itsu: on the one hand, sushi like this wasn't easily available in the UK just 10 years ago; on the other hand, it's still fairly inauthentic and average quality relative to the price. Hard dry rice, equivalent to lower end Japanese supermarket sushi (rather than decent restaurant sushi). Nice vibes though especially upstairs.

First ever visit - absolutely loved it. The food was hot n seemed freshly prepared and it was oh-my-god delicious. The sauces offered on their table are vegan and taste damn good with the noodles, must try. The ambience of the restaurant is also beautiful, serene and tidy. They have good veg options. The staff helped me understand the items on menu, as all of it was new to me. I'm glad I tried Itsu.

Not happy with the delivery. Driver was parked up round the corner from our house for 5 minutes before i tracked on the app and went round to finally collect the food. She was on the phone to somebody, and no apology for being late & not delivering!!

Possibly best Itsu I’ve visited in recent times. Excellent customer service ! The food selection is like no other place lots to choose from as it’s well stocked. I’m always amazed at how much product knowledge the people have who work there !

Lovely food, friendly and fast delivery

ORDER NEVER RECEIVED The driver never arrived at my building reception as requested, and never called on arrival as requested (probably because they never came) I went outside to wait/look for them. I then got a delivery report saying the food had been delivered. My money has been taken and I've not received the what I paid for. Lying about delivering is a terrible service and business model!

What a fantastic place, with always friendly staff and a perfect menu. Definitely one of the best place in Bristol to have a lunch.

Amongst all of the burger and chicken places it’s refreshing to have somewhere with tasty and nutritious options that you can just grab and go. Not too expensive either, there were a lot of options at different prices 👏👏 loved it, will be back 👍

Have been dining with my family in this sushi restaurant yesterday. Big selection of food is displayed in the fridge. Hot food was prepared following our order less then in 1 minute. Generous portions. All staff members very welcoming,smiling and helpful. We sat on second floor,as on first floor was busy. On second floor are big tables with sofas. We had sushi box,chicken dumplings, Thai chicken rice and noodle soup for kids. Our experience was very good. We definitely will come back again.

This is a message to anyone considering going to this Itsu Bristol restaurant. Avoid this restaurant likel the plague or Covid19!!😟 The chicken broth I ordered teasted very nasty, plus It wasn't served hot. Some of the raw fish in the fridge didn't look fresh. 😡 Staff gave me a dirty spoon to eat with!!!. The staff seem out of place & not care about paying customers!! Managers should fire those staff especially their chefs 🤔😡 Why do managers employ these people? Bad management managers. Fire the manages please & thanks. No food & health safety standards. People will get sick. Given me dirty spoon what a cheek!!😡 Health inspectors should investigate closed this restaurant down if they dont change they ways🤔🤔 I should've listen to bad customer service views. I never go they again. I didn't enjoy anything from there!! 😝😝 I can cook 10 times better than that and save money . I Would of giving zero stars if I had the chance 😥 I

Poor quality. Did not enjoy luke warm food. Paid for dips that they totally overlooked. Not cheap , feel ripped off.

miso soup was half spilled and soaked all the sushi, including chopsticks, napkins and the bag. the soup spilled everywhere on my carpet. it seems that someone put the bag with the soup upside down.

This was a delivery. The delivery with deliveroo was bang on time. Despite some distance the hot food was hot. The appearance of the packaging and food was amazing. It left me thinking my dining room was not up to scratch! It was like getting a beautiful set of presents! I was going to get chinese but my son is on a health kick. Not only was the food super healthy but it was delicious and filling too. The price was really good aswell. The whole family was super happy. Will definitely order again.

The sushi, sashimi, and salad combos were fresh and offered at a great price. Additionally, I would like to commend the Itsu Cabot Circus establishment in Bristol for its excellent service, organization, and cleanliness, as well as the dedication of the staff, especially the attendant Pamela H., who was very attentive. My wife, son, and I were extremely pleased with the experience. The special attention the staff member gave to my son left him eager to return.

Food was absolutely good as you expect from Itsu. Portion was quite good compared to the price. Service was even more perfect. They say, the dishes are freshly made and they taste quite good and nutritious 😅 I think I expected more tables on the first floor. They were a bit unclean as well. The customers sometimes leave the table without cleaning it. Good place to hangout with friends right infront of Cabot circus. Overall very aesthetic and kawaii ✨

Wasabi missing, shushi arrived all jumbled

Freshly made sushi and sashimi, love their miso soup as well, very good selection of drinks. If you don’t like sushi then you have curry options, gyoza options etc. Friendly staff and easy to pick up any item you want to buy. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. I love to get my lunch here or just get something nice like sushi set to take back home.

Tried calling but no reply. App kept changing between saying it was on its way and the driver was still waiting.

I ordered through 'just eat' and unfortunately the main meal was missing. Due to being ordered through a third party i was unable to contact the restaurant regarding this, so contacted itsu via the website. The restaurant called me within an hour to offer their apologies and compensation. I really appreciated this and it completely defused the situation. I left a bad review which I have deleted as the response from the restaurant to rectify this mistake was very good. The food I did receive was delicious!!

main item missing from my order, so no food. why can i not contact the restaurant to have the missing items sent out. i have to wait up to a week for the refund and i have no food. how is this acceptable???

VERY KIND staff. Congratulations to all the staff for how they manage the place. Their manager should give him a promotion because they are a united and compact group, they didn't make us uncomfortable and made us feel at home. They are very hospitable. As an Italian, my family and I had a good time. Half an hour before closing the express dishes on display are half price and people, even if they were tired from the time, always had a smile on their faces. At local closure they didn't bother us while they carefully cleaned everything. I took the manager's name that was on the wall (Miss Kinga), I mean her. Give thanks to these guys because they work with their heart. Miss Kinga, if you read me I await your feedback.

Orders this evening from this place through deliveroo will not be ordering again the worst packaging, and handling of people’s food! Brought a soup and sushi which the soup was leaking out through the ripped bag all over my flooring there were hardly any soup left due to it all probably on the drivers bike and of course my floor. My sushi was soaked was just mush and soggy not sushi just soggy rice!! I will not be buying from this shop again as this has not been the first time my food being handled in such a poor manner simply thrown in a bag with know regards. 0 stars avoid ordering on line from this shop unless you want your food on the floor and cold

We ordered at 8:05pm and the estimate was 15-30mins delivery. Every 20 mins the delivery estimate was pushed back. There was no number to call the restaurant on JustEat, when we found a number on google and rang there was an automated message telling us to contact JustEat. The only way to contact JustEat was by email, their automated reply said we'd have a response within 2 days. Eventually the food turned up STONE COLD at 9:52pm almost 2 HOURS after we ordered. The food was rubbery and cold, and the sushi was warm. Awful. We will never order from here again and will be asking a full refund.

Stopped here to grab some take-away sushi, which was freshly made and very tasty. A good selection of boxes as well as edamame bean pots and miso soup. Restaurant and toilets were clean. Friendly service.

I’ve reached out to costumer services, and quite honestly I’m shocked at how this has been handled. I have a shift at work with a break that is at a specific time. I ordered at 12:30 for it to arrive at 1:30 and it has only just turned up. Nearly over an hour late. I have had no compensation and the dilivery driver seemed in no hurry when he arrived. I expect to be treated better than this.

We waited for an extremely long time for it to be delivered. When it arrived we were very hungry. The wrong order was delivered. Our family of three including a ten year old do not eat any of the meals included. So we now have to go to a different takeaway late at night. There is no way to contact just eat or the driver to inform them that the order was wrong, when they could have swapped them. I have just spent £50 on a £30 meal of food we won't eat and now I have to spend further money on another takeaway as there are no shops open this late.

You could choose to have a cold/hot meal but I didn't really like the dumplings (chicken) I tried.

Cheap and quite good rolls. A lot of ready-made options, no need for waiting.

This time we didn't like the visit. Miso soup tasted like water, there were only 2 cubes of tofu and 3 small pieces of seaweed. I ate it here many times but today it was terrible.

For a restaurant in the middle of Broadmead, this place is amazing. The chef was kind and understanding when I had to swap one of the meal choices because of coriander. Everything was very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered Thai chicken with extra chicken, took ages, then got the wrong order. Got a dirty look when I suggested it was not right - despite the the wrong order having far more food that I had ordered. It was sorted, however, the wrong order which I had opened to check (and in doing so, damaged the lid) was just passed to the right customer - can't imagine they were too pleased either? The dish I ended up with looked noting like the photo (the photo showed strips of chicken fillet, I got mashed up chicken). Probably will not use again.

Pedi unos fideos udon y no me informaron de los que contenia dentro, llevava cilantro y creo que ese ingrediente se deberia de poner ya sea por información o por alergias. Pedi q me lo volvieran a hacer sin cilantro y me pusieron unos fideos con salsa con muy poca gracia. Nada de verdura…. Entiendo que tienen todos los ingredientes mezclados desde que abren…. Asi que mejor informar al cliente de que lleva cada uno de los platos para que no quede insatisfecho, además el sushi echo de hace horas y ñas porciones pequeñas. Era la primera vez que iva a un restaurante de esta cadena, obviamente sera el ultimo….

Our first visit to ITSU , so wasn't sure what to expect. So easy to order , and food was hot ,tasty and very enjoyable. Would recommend , and will have no hesitation to visit again.

ordered a takeaway from here today and the box I received had the security seal broken and had been opened before. I reported this to uber eats and opened it to eat to find that someone had lifted the pieces of fish away from the rice, put wasabi there, and put it in the bag for my order??? the securty seals are there to make sure this doesn’t happen so how could you let one get sent out that had been broken!! yuck! I added photos of my receipt to show I I didn’t receive wasabi!!!

I went there today to try some of their food. I chose the gyoza noodle soup and loved it. The place was clean and the staff very helpful when I needed help choosing a noodle soup dish. There was plenty of space to eat as the restaurant was quiet at the time, and I found a nice corner to enjoy my food. Would go again to any future Itsu if I found one.

The whole order came wrong. The only things that came correctly were the water bottles. That’s so disappointing!!! I paid for something I didn’t order! The driver said we were really “lucky” because the order came through after the opening hours! So I assume they sent left overs of the restaurant! I will never order in this place again!!!

The driver went a round day assuming he was dropping off other orders. This means the foOd was lukewarm at best and mochi was completely thawed.

I’ve walked by so many times and me and some friends went in when we didn’t have time for dinner before a cinema. Really impressed. Get fast food. All of us found our food tasty. Will definitely be going back. Much better than grabbing burger and fries.

Vicino ai tavoli ci sono tovaglioli le classiche bacchette oppure anche le forchette e salsa a disposizione in ogni tavolo. Una cosa che non mi è piaciuta per niente e' che è obbligatorio pagare con la carta. Non discuto la loro scelta però dovrebbe essere ben indicato con dei cartelli visibili cosa che non è assolutamente.Ho fatto abbastanza fatica a procurarmi delle sterline in Italia,arrivato lì non posso usarle.Ripeto dovrebbe essere ben indicato con cartelli visibili secondo me.

Chx teriyaki rice bowl. Good quick service and they have all the accompaniments (nuts and seeds) that you can add to your food. Food wasn’t piping hot (but I did walk some way back to my hotel). Just enough for an evening meal. Restaurant was pretty empty though but there are so many eateries around it wasn’t surprising.

Decent itsu this one, my thai stir fry noodles were tasty and good value. The drink options are overpriced - however they have free tap water, but I didn't see it in time. I do like the topping options, the gochujang and teriyaki are great

Within the main shopping area of Bristol is this Sushi Restaurant. It's a busy little spot with plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Overall the food was OK as it is prepackaged and refrigerated. Pros: fast service, good selection of sushi Cons: the restaurant at the time was not clean. Tables were covered in sauce and flies were flying round. The toilets were not up to standard as the cleaning sheet was not completed since the previous day. In summary, it was a nice place however, they do need to get the tables cleaned and toilets. This was the downfall on this review.

Staff were happy, even though busy not rushing. Lovely atmosphere, pay them more... I will visit more often 😘

Very fresh, delicious and not too expensive food. Great variety of vegetable and protein dishes, hot and cold foods. Absolutely brilliant for taking away as well. There are seats upstairs which are great for friend groups although it does get extremely busy, so it fills up fast.

The freshly prepared hot meals like the soups and noodles we had were really good. Not so much the sushi platter which was just about passable in freshness.

One singular mozzie the size of my hand! Otherwise a nice place with nice staff and food.
