The 6 course tasting menu was £45 for lunch and represented great value Food was excellent, service great, and venue first class Being able to have a vegan tasting menu was a real bonus

It was newly refurbished with a set menu. Visited with in a grip of six people. The food was great, really tasty and presented well. If you can try the turbot. Was delicious. Staff were good, friendly, but not intrusive. Good wine list. Tried a few of them. 😀 Venue is cracking and with new chef and team, definitely with a visit. Good luck all.

We had been eager to visit after the refurbishment and sample the new tasting menu. The restaurant has a more cosy feel to it, although I do think the plants could do with some more thought. The sample menu was excellent and they were very good catering for my allergy. It was my birthday and they were lovely enough to make a fuss and it was so nice.

Wow! What can I say, the food and view of the quayside is simply stunning. The precision is visible in the kitchen and with the team running the floor in what can only be described as exceptional. I would consider TASTE OF SIX Six’s flagship tasting menu. truly some of the most flavorsome cuisine I have experienced. The team was sensational. Watching the team engage with their customers was exciting. The cohesion between the kitchen and the front of house was incredible to watch. I recommend this culinary experience. The most enjoyable meal out that we've ever had. As soon as you walk in, the stunning views from the floor to ceiling windows, on the 6th floor, excite you. The ambience is relaxed and unpretentious. The waiting staff are personable, engaging, informative and attentive without being intrusive. Thank you Daisy, Eve, Naomi, Madeleine, Hannah and Ben. I chose the 6 course tasting menu and accompanying wine flight. The menu was exciting, the presentation exquisite and every course tasted wonderful .The selected wines were also delicious and knowledgeably explained. We found the pricing extremely reasonable for such an exceptional experience. Superb in every way, we can't wait to return to Six.

Good Welcome when exiting the lift and our coats were taken. Good menu, wine list was ok. I was a good meal and made better with the excellent staff. There were a couple of negative though, the restaurant wasnt well appointed in terms of decor and this impacted the feel Its was also very cold. Overall a good meal, so would visit again.

We had our intimate wedding at six and it was a perfect experience which all our guests loved. The food was exceptional, service outstanding and a memorable view up the Tyne. Our planner and host Daisy was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble and she has infectious energy!

We visited the Six for the first time for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We heard fantastic things about this place so we decided to treat ourselves to somewhere special for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint! From the warm winter vibe we got walking in to the amazing service, the views and in particular the wine and food. We were eating from the winter set menu and it was amazing on all 3 courses. We were given superb service at our table and they were always back at our table topping our drinks up. As it was our anniversary they went the extra meal and gave us something extra for dessert which was a very nice touch and means you come away remembering excellent service and quality food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of trying somewhere different in the city, we will certainly be back! I imagine the views in the summer will be amazing!

Maybe the best restaurant in Newcastle! The staff were attentive, professional and just lovely all round. The food was incredible - we had to share all our meals as it was just hard to believe anything could be that good. We 100% will go again and cannot wait!

We had a business lunch and just were so impressed overall from the welcoming arrival, asking about allergies, the menu offer was great but not too big, great drinks selection and everything served at the right pace, you could tell the food was not sat waiting to be heated, rather the chefs had the time to pace the meal cooking nicely. Great setting and lovely staff, price was really reasonable for the level of food and service and wipes the floor with other places nearby that are more expensive! Lovely stuff :-)

I have always told people I’ve never had a bad meal at Six - unfortunately that’s no longer the case. We took some very special friends and were so sad that it was below average. Our starters were ok but when the main course came it started to unravel. One of our guests had the duck. The fat hadn’t been rendered properly with the result it was covered in flabby, inedible skin. My fishcakes were fine, if a little underwhelming. Two of the party had steak accompanied by a sauce they both said was inedible. Overly creamy and eggy tasting, it was also overpowered by tarragon or whatever herb they had added. Either way it was disgusting. I decided to try the chocolate whip with artichoke ice cream for dessert. Intrigued by how unusual it sounded, it was beyond awful. It wasn’t ice cream it was a vegetable sorbet and whoever thought putting parsnip crisps on a chocolate dessert needs a career change. We were asked a number of times if everything was ok and even though we were open about the problems, nothing was done - in which case why ask ? It’s such a shame having had so many brilliant meals at Six but I’m afraid we won’t ever be going back. Over priced and hugely disappointing

We had a lovely meal at Six. Really thought the food was excellent and Michelin star standard, our Celeriac broth starter and Walnut whip dessert in particular were outstanding. Pleasant service, lovely view, and not too noisy. Although not cheap it was good value for money.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to a great table with excellent views. Service was great, the drinks were great and atmosphere was good. A lovely afternoon and would definitely return and recommend! I thought the drinks prices were very competitive and reflective of the quality of the restaurant.

Fabulous food, great staff and unique feel to the restaurant. Impressed with the meal we had in the evening. Beautiful p,ace settings fab view over the Tyne. Imaginative menu. Grapefruit, tomato and burrata salad as a starter. Others had ham hock. Mains were fish cakes, broccoli risotto and a lamb shank. Lovely combo of flavours and beautifully presented. Desserts were mango cheesecake in the fashion of Eton mess and I had a financier ( almond cake) with blackberry and raspberry with lemon creme anglais. Good coffee. Staff were enthusiastic and knew the dishes they were serving. Would love to visit again.

We enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here, with attractively presented, tasty food, served by polite, engaging staff, in a modern, contemporary space, with excellent views of the Tyne and the city beyond.

We had a birthday celebration meal here. This was booked in advance and we requested a window seat. Turns out, they don’t necessarily honour such requests and it’s first come first serve. Anyway, we were lucky to get a window seat. The views of the Tyne were amazing. I must say, even the ladies toilets has exceptional views! The dishes were out of this world. The food was cooked to perfection with great attention to detail and exceptional presentation. The service was seamless! We absolutely loved this restaurant and the food.
