Never been to Leeming Bar before but needed somewhere for coffee after dropping grand daughter and her mummy at a birthday party at a play park. We had two bacon baps which were crammed with bacon and hardly any rind, just as we like them. Plus tea and coffee came to about £13. Fantastic value and excellent food. Very interesting place to look around as well.

We arrived at 11am and ordered. At 11.07 two tea cakes arrived fir two of our party, quick service! However our drinks and the two scones for the other two of the party arrived at 11.35! My scone was cold and obviously out of the fridge. I had asked for jam but no butter, but guess what, it arrived with butter but not jam. The couple on the next table had ordered drinks but gave up waiting and left. Other tables that arrived and ordered after us received theirs first. Oh well, you live and learn.

Very acceptable burgers consumed here, not too expensive either. Decor hardly stylish or luxurious; same with the service, but still pretty good.

Quite disappointed overall. No hot food, not offered a menu, hygiene non existent, the lady serving us didn't wash her hands after emptying the bin, tables not wiped between customers. We heard the waitress state that the teapot was minging...whilst she was filling it with our tea! Needless to say we didn't drink it. I did mention these points and she was very apologetic. I appreciate times are brutal at the moment so I'm going to put it down to her having a bad day.

Love this place. It's a huge store with quirky and quality goods for the home and garden. Social distancing in place, friendly service. Cafe was closed and bar closed on a Sunday but there is a good stocked bar and you can wander around this lovely quirky store with a drink in hand .

Reasonable cake and sandwich selected as to be expected from this type of cafe. Ordered 3 drinks, 2 pieces of cake and a hot sandwich. 2 of the drinks and the food arrived fairly quickly, but one drink didn’t arrive until we’d nearly finished our others. I did question but was told there was a problem with the machine, and in fairness the late drink was deducted from the bill. Still just over £15 for what we had seemed a little high.

Loved the shop, decided to lunch there. Specials board toad in the hole with vegetables. More like vegetable, 3 small sausages, Yorkshire and a spoonful of carrots. £7.95? Bit overpriced. Did ask if any potatoes or other veg and was given a bowl of chips. Won't be returning.

My husband and I dropped of a vehicle for some modifications and walked into Leeming Bar to kill time. Stopped her for breakfast and came back for cake and coffee in the afternoon. Breakfast was good, my only complaint was the mushrooms were a little overdone for my liking, but my husband had no issue with them. The cakes we had in the afternoon were absolutely lush!! The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area. :)

We came across this place by accident when looking for the railway cafe. The food was very good, tasty and hot, served by helpful and friendly staff. The prices were very good and the choices tempting. It is part of a building selling furniture and other items, different and interesting.

Wandered around the Simply Dutch shop for half an hour before wanting a hot drink. Found a table in the Tors Café and ordered our drinks. First off, no latte! The machine had broken down!!! Coffee with cream? Sorry...no cream. A hot chocolate came but was luke warm. Had to ask the waitress to re-heat it!

We have used this cafe when visiting Simply Dutch on many occasions however it has outgrown its roots. Service was abysmal, we had our order delivered in dribs and drabs, all day breakfast arrived and was followed five minutes later by the slice of toast, finished meal and were still waiting for ketchup to materialise even after asking waitress on two occasions.

Took my 88 yr old mum in for lunch today and ordered two homemade mince and onion pies which had been recommended. I asked the young waitress for a small portion for my mum. A second waitress brought the meals which were both huge. I said we had asked for a small portion but was informed they couldn’t do small portions. I was rather taken aback at this because the pie was cut from a tray bake and surely it would have been easy to give small amounts of chips and peas. As a result my mum was immediately outfaced and hardly touched the meal. I took the almost full plate back and although the waitress said sorry it didn’t appear to be a genuine apology. I said I hoped they would take notice of my feedback. Not only was the food wasted but I had to prepare a small meal for my mum when I took her home to ensure she ate something. I actually enjoyed the pie but am very disappointed by the attitude. Even when I went to pay she asked if everything had been ok, as though she was programmed to ask and had already forgotten my complaint. I realise the young girls will probably be working only at the weekends but common sense certainly did not prevail today.

Sue provided hot food for a party at my house for 36 people. The food was delicious with lots of positive comments from our guests. The portion sizes were very generous and we were able to have half chilli and baked potato and half curry, rice and naan. Sue delivered it all to the house where it was just kept in the oven until all the guests arrived. I had a totally stress free party thanks to sue, would definitely recommend. Thanks Sue

I popped into Sue's cafe by chance when returning to my office from a business meeting. I had a cappuccino and a freshly baked fruit scone, which was delicious. I was only there for a short while but was impressed with the friendly welcome from the two ladies (was one of them Sue?) and the wonderfully quirky setting. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back.

It's strange that the Simply Dutch shop doesn't have its own entry on Trip Advisor as "things to do" because it is a very well known and rather unique furniture shop with an amazing and eclectic assortment of furniture and furnishings as well as garden ornaments etc. Well worth a visit, even if only for a look round.

We called into Simply Dutch, as we often do when travelling down the A1, just to see if there were any quirky items we might buy. The shop is an eclectic mix of new and old furniture, suits of armour, stuffed cats and more! However, we have never patronised the cafe before. It's situated in the corner of the shop and doesn't look very special, so the excellent bacon butties were a delightful surprise. I asked for crispy bacon, as I usually do, and received around 5 slices of very tasty bacon in my bun, accompanied by a good cup of tea. Staff were friendly and chatty and the experience was an unexpected pleasure.

I came here with mam for a cuppa, though partly because another place up the street had closed - at half 2! This is a nice little place with disabled access and a mixed toilet, which I didn't have an issue with. They had just stopped serving food when we got there but we weren't hungry anyway after a cooked breakfast at Mainsgill on the A66.

Cosy and friendly little cafe attached to the Millbry Hill shop but with its own entrance looking out over the bridge and the River Leven in Stokesley. Would definitely recommend the cheese scones.

We were staying at Hunton on holiday and wanted a local cafe so that we didn’t have to drive too far, ‘The Nest’ did not disappoint. What an incredible location, really friendly staff and gorgeous scones. Given that my Mum made thousands of them when we had a restaurant (and hers were always delicious), she gave 10/10 for the cherry one and I’d give the same rating for my yummy cheese one. If you like scones, stunning views and cute animals, this is the place for you!
