I thought I'd been to all the local cafes and tried every single Full English fry up in the area but then I stumbled upon this place. A really welcoming little cafe with a welcoming log burner and sofa area. I had the Full English, obviously, which was delicious. It all tastes very fresh and while it isn't the biggest menu I suspect every dish is equally as fresh and contains high quality ingredients. I'll be back to try the other items on the menu!

We stopped off here after visiting the Priest House nearby. Very clean and modern, and the teas and coffees were excellent. The range of cakes was a little on the small side, however, and a wider choice would be nice. On the positive side, it's all organic and health-focussed.

We pick up a child from Blackland FArm at least twice a year - it will be much more enjoyable now we’ve found this little gem. Oat milk cappachino, dairy latte and late brekkie while we waited for our call having walked round the reservoir in the forest. I had the ubiquitous smashed advocado on sourdough. A surprise to have eggs fried rather than poached when the arrived but tasty all the same. Hubby made a late switch to the full English and loved it. As did the dog when presented with a leftover sausage from the kitchen. Lovely service, and really enjoyed the food. They had an art/garden trail which seemed super popular - we’d love to have stayed for that. Almost can’t wait for our next Blacklands FArm pick up now!

I have asked my colleagues to bring me a sandwich of their choice from the Organic Cafe as I was very busy doing a seminar at the Peridure Centre and no time for a lunch break. OH OH My God..... what they brought to me was a fantastic sandwich made with local brown organic bread with Halloumi cheese, ratatouille vegetable well seasoned and lots of taste. Yummy it was really nice and apparently according to my colleagues the sandwich was made by a very pretty lady in the kitchen ( will that means that you have to be pretty to prepare good food???? ) I am confused but very happy with my sandwich ThanQ

We'd been told about this café by a chap we met on a walk who had learning disabilities. So, we duly decided to try it out when we next visited the area. We were given a friendly welcome and invited to take a seat anywhere we wanted. The café is quite large and has a pleasant out door area, which was where we chose to sit as we were hot and we wanted to cool off a bit. A friendly waiter came quickly and took our order and it wasn't long before our lunch came. My sandwich (egg mayonnaise and salad) was delicious. What I liked best was that the egg wasn't smothered with too much mayonnaise, and also there was a generous supply of mixed salad on the plate too. Serviettes and clean cutlery were also provided by the staff. We both chose a very delicious organic pear and raspberry drink to have with our food. My partner's bacon sandwich and salad also was very well received. The place looked very clean and airy, and we'll certainly frequent it again, as the menu was good and varied too.

We came here for a coffee late on a Sunday morning however once we saw the menu, we decided to upgrade it to brunch! We both ordered the bubble and squeak which came with fried eggs, bacon and salad. The staff were friendly and the service was of a good pace. The food itself was lovely and fresh and we were very impressed with the quality of the bacon. I would have preferred the vegetables in the bubble and squeak to have been cooked a bit better as some tasted quite raw, and for the outside to have been crispier but overall it was very nice. There was live music in the cafe that morning which added to the quirky country vibe of the cafe. I would definitely recommend this cafe to anybody passing through the area.

We drove past here recently and thought it would be be a lovely place for brunch. Visited on a Sunday morning and as soon as we walked in felt uncomfortable. The staff barely looked up as we went in, yet it wasn't busy. The owners family were there and he was very much into pleasing them it seemed. And another local. It wasn't clear if it were waiter service or order at the counter. It was order at the counter. Ordered peppermint tea, English brekkie and an orange juice. The orange juice was freshly squeezed which was lovely but there was a 15 minute wait for it as the machine hadn't even been set up. The breakfast was tasty although did.jot contain all that the menu said. Menu said it would contain sausages, beans, mushrooms, bacon, egg, toast, sliced smoked sausage and a potato cake. There was no sliced sausage or potato cake. The food was expensive for what it was. We also gave a tip and the man who took this wasn't thankful at all. They didn't say bye or thank you as we left. We were made to feel very unwelcome which is a shame as it was our first time and first impressions count. We wouldn't go back. Would have been nice to make it a regular thing but nope. It's clearly a place where they are friendly to locals or family but newbies no way. Disappointing.

My friend had the veggie breakfast and pronounced it delicious - the vegetables had a lovely smoked taste which she loved.I chose the goats cheese tart and I have to say it was one of the best I have ever had. Lovely rich flavour and the pastry was short and very tasty. Had to ask the Chef about it, of course, and he said he uses flour from nearby Plawhatch Farm (so went and bought some on the way home). Followed by a super fudgy, choccie brownie and a great almond cake. We weren't going to pig out but couldn't resist it. With tea came to about £24 for both and the service was very quick. Have just returned from lunch with family and have to say we were disappointed, especially after the rave reviews below.1. One of the courgette rissoles contained a long black hair. We pointed this out to the staff who took the offending thing away, we suggested to show the chef. That was the last we heard on the matter. No explanation or apology was forthcoming.2. As it was a Saturday there was live music. Unfortunately this turned out to much too loud for the space, and not good quality. We were forced to move outside from our reserved table to get from it.3. Although the reviews below mention warm and friendly service, I found I was blanked by one of the waiters while waiting to ask for a knife and fork. I would have expected eye contact at the very least. So although the food was fine, if somewhat limited in choice, we won't be returning any time soon.

I eat here regularly because it is quite simply the best place to eat for miles around. And further. I am writing today as I have just had an even more delicious meal than ever! The pastry on the quiche was so light it almost flew off the plate and they now have a different dressing on the salad which was utterly scrumtious. The cappacino was, as ever, perrrrfect. I didn't have a cake today as I was too full - but have had plenty in the past - original new recipes appear regularly - always mouth wateringly tasty. The service is totally brilliant, friendly and welcoming. I sometimes come on my own, read a paper and relax - other times I come with friends. I usually prefer to sit on one of their comfortable sofa's - but for those who like to sit upright at a table - those chairs are comfy too. Finally - to cap it all - everything is ORGANIC! What more could you ask? Thank you Organic Cafe for being there (here) x

Strategically placed amongst a handful of National Trust properties we discovered this after visiting Standen. We went for the all-day breakfasts, veggie and meaty, both were excellent, and served piping hot, with excellent fresh ingredients. Service was good and the ambiance was very comfortable. The cafe is part of wider community which provides support, housing and employment for people with learning difficulties and mental health needs. They grow some of their own ingredients and buy in from an outstanding farm shop nearby (Tablehurst and Plaw Hatch farm shop). These are both really sound ethical enterprises and worthy of our support.
