Orange Square in Mid Sussex

Great food, really nice atmosphere. Often have lunch here. I love their burgers. Staff are friendly.

Found the restaurant while we were in HH for errands. Lovely friendly staff & good variety of choices on the menu. The superfood salad with added grilled salmon was the best restaurant salad I have had in a long while. Very fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked salmon. The decor, furniture and layout of the interior is very dated, but we will both be back for the great food & service!

Went here a couple of weeks ago with my friend and 1 year old daughter had a lovely time, called to book today for LUNCH and was told children under the age of 5 are not welcome? Ive never ever heard of this at any pub or restaurant I’ve ever been too, quite disappointed and weird ‘policy’

Ridiculously overpriced drink wise. Currently £6.95 for a pint of Guinness. I can get one for £5.40 just two minutes walk away. Why do people pay so much?

Went in today for lunch, and were totally ignored by all staff for over 10 minutes so left without getting anything. This isn’t the first time this has happened recently. Lots of staff, but no acknowledgement at all. A real shame as we love the food, but happens too often.

I really enjoyed the whole experience. Staff were welcoming, the food was good quality and well presented. Would recommend the sausages and mash. Also good to see Harvey's beer on tap.

Very accommodating of our walk in group at lunchtime - even built a big enough table to seat us all comfortably. Good food and friendly staff.

Me and my wife went to Orange Square for the first time, on what was a very rare opportunity to have breakfast without our 2 young daughters present..... needless to say, it was absolutely beautiful. The gents serving us were brilliantly attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and very fairly priced (£12.50 for an 8 piece brekkie, which was more than enough for me, and I'm a big eater!). I honestly thought the fried bread was one of, if not the best I've ever had, and the sausages were of a very good quality. Both myself and my wife have said that this is now our go to breakfast place in Haywards Heath, and we will 100% be back when we next get the opportunity.

Arrived for a drink over an hour before advertised closing to be told by very aggressive barman that last orders had been called and til closed despite multiple tables still there drinking . Mr Bowe clearly wanted an early night off and assured us he would ask the general manager to see if website was misleading . It says mon - Thursday 9am - 11pm , so I’d suggest the answer is yes

1st time here on Sunday lunch around 4ish with my friend..I had chicken salad and my friend had mozza ball, the service by a lovely lady was great and it was good to know that you do 00 Guinness We will return thankyou the two ladies sitting in the corner outside

We've lived in the area for nine years and never visited Orange Square. We hadn't planned on doing so today but looked inside and thought it was worth a try. Why did we wait so long? A lovely, friendly welcome from Sarah who, with her colleague, served us efficiently, despite it being quite busy. The menu includes sandwiches, wraps, jacket potatos, burgers and pub favourites plus a list of specials - so plenty of options but not so many in each category that you become overwhelmed for choice. The food was great - hot and very good portions, the wine and beer seletion were excellent and I even liked the coffee. I like the fact that it's an adult-only bar and you can walk in just for a drink. I don't think we'll be taking so long to return. Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch on Christmas Eve, place was buzzing, staff very friendly and welcoming, and the food was fresh and tasty.

Went for lunch to meet a friend and received a warm welcome. Our waiter was Bish and he was brilliant...chatty and attentive. The atmosphere was good, seating areas are comfortable and well spaced out and it's nicely decorated for Christmas. We were offered Christmas crackers for if our lunch was a Christmas gathering which was a nice touch. The food was great, nice to find somewhere that does simple but nice lunch choices. For example jacket potatoes and sandwiches with fries rather than expensive fancy food when you just want a casual meal. They did have more substantial mains but it was good to have a choice between bar food or something heavier. I wanted to change my jacket potato topping to including the filling of one of the sandwiches and this wasn't even questioned which is brilliant service. Our friend wanted a BLT sandwich that wasn't on the menu and they were prepared to make this for him. The jacket potatoes were properly cooked, all crispy on the outside and soft in the middle...not horrible microwaved ones. Coffee was nice and we received little chocolates with the bill which was really reasonably priced. We meet for lunch each week and have been searching for a place like this for ages. Will definitely be back although all quite busy for December but do look forward to returning.

Orange Square is a lovely setting for friends to meet and have drinks and food. There is a good range of food choices. I keep going back as I enjoy it so much. All the staff are so friendly and caring. I love it here.

A go to breakfast venue for me. You can order what you want by item from the meat or vege menu, so every breakfast is bespoke. Great quality & service to go with it.

I've had breakfast before, which was great, but this is my 1st lunchtime visit. The Chicken & Bacon wrap was delicious: tasty and well filled, well worth the price. Has a couple of outdoor tables when the weather co-oprporates

This is where you get the best breakfast in town. An extensive choice of quality food and the ability to build your own breakfast. It is extremely good value for money and whichever items you choose are always cooked to order. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great. Always a winner.

i would definitely recommend orange square over anything if you like to have a nice mocha which not only kick start your day but also give a mouth satisfying taste with a proper blend of coffee and cocoa 😋

I understand any bars choice not to allow children, but it would be nice to know this before arriving. Should be made clearer on both your website and social media that it is an over 21's pub only even during the day (maybe I have missed something!). Appreciate that of an evening children should not be allowed, but during the day when you have what looks like a very nice lunch menu, it was not clear that anyone under the age of 21 wasn't allowed. It made us feel very uncomfortable to be told we weren't welcome and had we known in advance we wouldn't have even tried to come in. Such a shame!

I visited this cafe/restaurant for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday with my partner and another couple, for the first time. The food was tasty, fairly reasonably priced (considering the cost of living crisis(, and the service was polite & friendly. I would return again if I was in n the area. Recommended.

Very attentive staff, the owner is lovely. Ordered a prawn sandwich which was well presented and good value for money. The little touches like when the bill came two after eight chocolates were presented. Such a kind gesture. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch.

My favorite place when I have lunch with my son Jamie. Great menu that changes, and guest beers, my favorite is the blue cheese burger but even if it is not on the menu they are happy to do one for me. Nice friendly staff and good atmosphere. Highly recomended.

What a place to go and have some drinks! Professional staff and the ambience is absolutely stunning on a Friday and Saturday. During the week is more relaxed, but Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are an experience to not be missed. Simply love it
