The delivery person came out in the rain and it was bad rain

After moving here trying to find a new chippy this one’s wins hands up my whole family enjoy our chippy night hot and fresh x

Always correct order and very nice

Paid £22 for fish, a battered sausage with mushy peas didn’t even get with it chips.. tasteless, bland and massively overpriced

chicken was stone cold, really cold and tasted of soap and the scampi was just mush. i am disgusted that i paid over £20 and the only thing edible was the luke warm chips. will not ordrr from here again

I placed an order at 7pm, for delivery at 8.30pm. I didn't receive it until 9.17pm. I believed that ordering early for a later delivery time would ensure that it would be delivered at the requested time. food was warm, not hot, as it usually is.

I just wanted to give a shout out for this great local business. The guy that runs this is so friendly. Telephone orders welcome. Fish and chips is more expensive these days but I don’t feel like I’m being ripped off here! The food is always lovely and good portion sizes too.

Our meal for 4 people was tasty and good. The fish and chips were fine, but the fried battered mushrooms, good size, lots of them, were amazing - bursting with juicy flavour as I bit in, couldn’t have been better!

The food was the worst I have ever tasted. The fish was so slimy and the batter was hideous. They call that a large that it looked like a small to me. Shocked honestly how people can do business with old fish. That was not fresh otherwise it would melt like butter. The chips were terrible as well. Not crispy just so bland. Not impressed had to throw my food away as the fish tasted funny and slimy and didn’t smell at all good.

Chips had salt or vinegar and really mushy. The fish had no flavour and the batter was wet.

The chips were uncooked and the batter was soggy. and the fish had a funny taste to it.

Fantastic food. Just be vary ordering through just eat. They change the delivery time constantly and make it look like it's the restaurant's fault!

Food was cold, both fish portions were undercooked and soggy/cakey batter. The battered sausage was stale and had clearly been out a while in the heater. Would avoid.

The food was lovely amazing but expensive and I was confused as I thort the price for piece of haddock would have been chips as well no just the piece of fish so I had to make another order 5 mins after my order arrived to order chips to have a fish and chip tea it should state on website unless I missed it but not happy about that

Soggy oily bland cod, I don’t think it’s genuine cod. Chewy and soggy. Very unhappy chips are bland too. Box was covered in oil and grease.

Fish was lovely as it always is but chips were a bit over done than normal.

Chips were bland, asked for onion vinegar and salt and nothing was put on them. Saveloy tasted watery. Disappointing.

paid for large cod and it was rather small. it was also rather anaemic and undercooked. definitely not worth the money

Very prompt and friendly delivery

On Friday 5th January 2024. I was blown away by the quality of the Cod. I was even more impressed to see Mr Chippy removes the skin from all the Cod....this hardly ever happens, anywhere. And...the 3 adults working today were absolutely awesome listeners! I can not speak highly enough about this business.

Best fish and chips shop that I've been too, 1000x better than Harry Ramsden. My favourite takeaway. Do keep an eye on opening times and days.

Highly recommend, best fish and chips in Haywards Heath

I popped in here 2 weeks ago to get a treat for my dad and myself. I managed to park within 15 metres for free on the street. I ordered 2 medium chips and a portion of scampi. I like my chips properly cooked not half cooked and he said not a problem. I chatted to the owner who was very friendly, polite and interesting. He has been here for over 30 years. The service was spot on, the prices very good and the food tasted excellent. Really enjoyed it and will definitely visit again.

We just ordered and we got our food. Me and one of my grandkids didn’t receive our drinks, although my other grandkid did. They gave us curry sauce which we never ordered, we would like a refund for the drinks.

Not very fast delivery at all and I don't really think you could class that as a large cod more regular and the batter was soggy underneath

Food is always good from Mr Chippy, only 1 time it wasn’t too good but was surprised.

When delivery came 30 mins late at 7.30pm, it was the wrong order. It was another 30 mins before the correct order was delivered.

This was my first and last order. Overpriced cold soggy food delivered late. It just ended up in the bin, a total waste of money. Never again.

Stopped here whilst passing through.. met with a smile on entry, which is always a good sign.. food ( cod and chips) was cooked to perfection. Highly recomend.

Food was meant to arrive between 8.55-9.10 but arrived at 9.55pm. Food wasnt overly hot either.

First time ordering. Ordered large haddock would like to see the size of a normal haddock - tiny in comparison with others: it also had bones in it, at least it proves it’s real. Just beware. Large chip portions and not greasy, which is a definite plus.

I bought cod and chips here and was shocked at the high amount charged. I appreciate times are hard for businesses, but this business needs to understand that it's customers will only pay so much. Its not only just about taking maximum profits. Given how the prices have been increased, I will not be giving my money to this business again, as there are better fish n chip shops in the area imho.

Ordered for delivery at 7.30 and it arrived at almost 8pm.

Nothing wrong with food or delivery, but the inflated prices for a delivery means I won't be using the service on a regular basis. £28 for Scampi & Chips for two is a little excessive in my personal opinion.

Most reliable delivery service and excellent food

Have been my go to chip shop for over 15 years. Always great food.

Called to tell restaurant that my order has not been delivered by the driver yet they are saying they delivered it. Shop owner was lovely so this review does not reflect him at all. Shop owner advised me that driver called Petrus took the order and said delivered at 7.48. Delivery driver has lied to say delivered my food and it’s not been delivered. Refund request now sent to Just eat.

The delivery time started at 5:30 and gradually changed to 6pm! The portions sizes are very small and for a £3 portion of chips I was expecting it to feed more than 1 person but sadly not. The food however was tasty and did arrive warm.
