Food was great as always. Delivery was late but it’s a bank holiday so it was bound to be busy. I did call and was told it was on its way. Turned up 20 mins late but food was nice and warm. Still a happy customer.

Have known them for 3 years now. And they have not once disappointed. Always giving us extra bread/salad/poppadoms or a drink. The curries are spot on. You can taste the difference in the fact they're homemade. Also, being Halal, that tops it off 👏

Excellent delivery service to my hotel. Friendly delivery driver. Food was piping hot and bagged up great. No greasy spillages. Plastic containers. The food was excellent. Clean. Non greasy. Tasty and great portions. A tad on the spicy side for me but that doesn’t take away from the quality of the food. My veggie dhansak was full of veg and had the perfect sweet and sour flavour! The special rice was perfect. Came with salad, mint yogurt and onion salad. Well done, Team Shapla!

Ordered food online but what i received was worst. First of all no salt in food just flat dal tadka and saag paneer. By the way do you call that saag paneer i can cook better than that. And please improve your cooking standards so taht people can order again if possible. If don't have salt in your restaurant let me know i can send across.

Spot on everytime, best indian you will find in Reading. The Pathia is very nice along with the Keema Naan.

Order arrived missing a korma, this meant 2 orders of bhaji (6 total) and chicken tandoori went cold waiting 40 mins for korma to be re delivered at which point the rest is freezing and u able to warm chicken! Really really disappointing after being a loyal customer for 14 years +

Started using shapla again after a long time. We had not so nice chicken on one occasion so did not go back. Then 1 night they delivered to my neighbor and I got chatting with delivery driver. I rang that night to order and it was great but last time and this time , 10 mins ago, we got Onions in our egg fried rice which we asked not to have. Then they argued a bit on phone and stated no Onion is in rice, but it was. Anyway Eventually they offered to change but meal now cold and not as enjoyable.😡😡 Not totally happy. But that being said, THE CHICKEN WAS ESCEPTIONAL and food up u to usual level. The people who work there are really lovely and very professional. Just remember no onions pls as I have an allergic reaction and can make me real sick!! Mr Tim. Tot rd

I ordered a vegan vegetable Dansak and they really went out of their way to make sure it was a special meal and it was lovely but lacked flavour slightly. Very friendly and helpful and would love to try food from here again.

Ordered for collection as normal but we had given up on this take away previously due to the poor service. Got home and was given a chicken Tikka biriayni instead of a vegetable one. Called the take away and was told we said chicken rather than vegetable but told them my daughter is a vegetarian. They said they will deliver. 25 minutes later got a call back to say they haven’t got a delivery driver and I had to go back to collect it. Funny enough as I pulled up their delivery driver did as well. Didn’t get an apology nor £1 back as the vegetable one is cheaper. Wouldn’t bother going back again.

Madras was lovely, my friend said the garlic chilli masala was excellent.

This by far the best Indian takeaway in reading. I have been using for 10 years now and I have never had bad meal. Simple amazing freindly staff and 5 star food always delicious.

Naan bread size has been reduced.

Ordered 4 vegetable side dishes and naan bread. Each dish had a distinct flavour and all of them were lovely (although the brinjal bhaji was a touch oily). The tarka Dal was especially good with a wonderful smokey taste. The naan were soft and fluffy and the complementary poppadoms were crisp, fresh and tasty.

Lovely food and better than our local we normally use. Unfortunately it was closed so we opted to try the shapla and now we will just use the shapla from now on. Happy customers for sure. Cheers

haven't had a meal from here in a while. so thought I would treat myself. my salad was all warm and sweaty. the onion barjgis just fell apart. the mint sauce was warm too. as for the chicken tikka masala it was tasteless was like chicken added to a tomato sauce there was no flavour. I won't be buying from there again

Best curry we’ve had in a long time!

After 3 phone calls chasing our order it eventually arrived 50mins late. Only 1 onion salad (ordered 2) only 4 popadoms (ordered 6) very disappointed with the service received on this order

Delivery was 30-35mins late. Food was ok but slightly on colder side. Didn’t get any popadoms even though they sent all the sides which was disappointing. Overall, very underwhelmed by the service tonight.

Very poor quality of both the chicken malaze and prawn pathos dishes. It was as if they had been defrosted. Watery and grainy and lacking in usual flavour. Very disappointed as I am a regular customer and usually shaplas flavours and quality of food are very good but not yesterday. I’m so disappointed with the quality of both fudges. The only dish that was fine was the rice

Always delicious and quick delivery. Tonight was no exception, the food was hit and tasty when it arrived.

Food was fantastic, full of flavour, beautifully cooked. It was my birthday treat so thank you so much. Only slight hiccup was it flashed up as delivered before it was which caused a minor panic at our end and led us to call the restaurant in case it had gone to the wrong place. The restaurant were lovely and reassuring and the driver was apologetic when he arrived. Thank you all for a great meal delivered through the floods

Why is it saying delivered when we not had delivery yet

Late, late, late. Over 2 hours for delivery, which was not great. No apology from restaurant or delivery driver. The food was OK, one of the large main dishes was mainly a lot more sauce and none of the green peppers as advertised. The rest was fine tasting, but tainted due to time it took and stress it caused us. Disappointing.

Consistently very good curry every time we order and all dishes are tasty. Also very friendly delivery staff!

Good taste, good price fast collection

I have given a couple of bad reviews lately and risked ordering tonight, but I’m pleased to say everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and back to its fine self. Tried the biryani today and it was banging, the patia is perfect tonight. 10/10. Yum. Merry Christmas.

Tasty food, nice and hot. Would have preferred it not to be in plastic tubs for heat retention purposes but the quality of the actual food cannot be dismissed.

When the order first turned up is was cold and with one of the main dishes missing. I phoned up and they said they would sort it. An hour later the door knocks and they have come with the main dish. Absolutely pointless. I always order my Indian meals from them but I will look elsewhere in future

It seems to have gone down hill. The prawns were chewy and inedible, the naan bread was dry and nearly cold and the sauce was very thin and runny. Very disappointing.

An absolutely stunning meal😋. I had the lamb Jalfrezi which is the best curry I have had in many years. It went well with pilau rice and the free onion and coriander salad. I also received a couple of free popadoms and sauce. The delivery driver was also very polite.

I ordered Chana masala as main and received only half a box.

Very nice food, especially the lamb jalfrezi 😋. They forgot to send my ice cream, I called them up and it was sent straight out with an apology. Most restraunts wouldnt bother.

Ordered a few times from and never had an issue but today the food wasn’t great and we are missing our bottle of Pepsi, called restaurant and they said they’d send it out but never received it.

Always lovely food but on calling to check where food was we were told ten mins and it took a further 30+. Waiting an hour 50 for food is abit ridiculous!

Unfortunately when our food was delivered it was just left on the doorstep in the rain!, once we checked we realised one of our main meals was missing, Chicken Rogan Josh… I called the restaurant direct to advise them but I was put on hold for 5mins once somebody did answer I was then passed around different people were I had to repeat my issue over and over to no avail 10mins later no agreement to credit and We still had no Rogan Josh overal we are 9.95 down! Not impressed with the after care!

Was emailed discount code having used many times. Tried to use but was not applied. Called restaurant and they said not interested and that they didn’t do that offer anymore. They blamed Just Eat. Poor experience. Never again

Don’t buy Into loyalty stamps. I collected 5 and then told they don’t do that anymore.

I was emailed 3 weeks ago with £15 discount as loyal customer. I clicked the link and discount was not applied. I called restaurant, was told they don’t do that anymore and were not interested. JustEat not interested. Very deceiving and misleading. So no discount and no one cares.
