It's been a while since I've visited Shakils, I've left it far too long. It's always been excellent but the restaurant has improved over the years. It's well decorated, has a lovely atmosphere, the food is constantly evolving and superb.

We visit here often have a great time always. At Christmas they do lovely evenings with music etc. Staff are very nice and place is beautifully clean

Amazing food, service and ambience. I’ve had takeaways previously which have been lovely but the quality of the food remained impeccable on eating at the restaurant. Attentive staff from the moment we walked in. I had the duck starter which was one of the nicest dishes I’ve eaten in a long time. Highly recommended!

Shakils truly is the best Indian restaurant in Bicester and I am confident enough to say in the whole of Oxfordshire because their food is beautifully cooked by what are clearly experienced chefs who know and love good Indian food. They put their Hearts into it the same as with their service. The atmosphere is both equally stimulating and calming. This restaurant deserves your custom.

The BEST Indian in Bicester. Every single dish that I have had tasted, was immaculate. The succulent chicken and the flavoursome biryani. I loved it all! The staff was amazing especially Ali and Tito they made us feel very welcomed ensured that we had the best service possible - deffo something you would want in a restaurant. Had another great meal at the friendliest restaurant for miles. The Lamb chop starter was better than ever, followed by a devine mixed grill. Wife had an onion Baji starter followed by a second starter of tandori chicken for main. The staff and the food are exceptional and thats why we go back time and again.

Had a takeaway delivered on Saturday night, delivered in 15 minutes and one of the best meals I have ever had. Usually don't leave reviews but highly recommend this Restaurant for its service and superb food.

Visited Shakil's for the first time with friends. I was mesmerised by the decor and ambience. It is by far one of the best restaurants, in terms of design and style with perfectly matching colour co-ordination, which I have visited. I am a seasoned diner, having the privilege of dining at top end restaurants around the country. Shakil's is up there with the best. This is demonstrated by the many accolades and awards Shakil's has deservedly received over the years. The members of the front of staff were very attentive. The array of food we ordered was delicious, tantalizing our palates with fusions of different spices and flavours. I am a firm believer in *The ambience creates a very pleasant gastronomical experience". Shakil's has succeeded in marrying both ambience and gastronomy by creating the perfect dining experience.

I've visited the restaurant for several meals before and never been unhappy. This review is about the take-away meal night however.I placed the order online, with the order process and comms about when the meal will be ready being very good. A 40 minute wait on a Saturday night was fine. I arrived to pick up the meal about 5 minutes early expecting to have to wait but they said it was ready straight away.When I got home there was little to be happy about. We were missing one portion of rice (which was definitely ordered) and everything else (rice, bhajis, naan, rice, meal) was luke warm at best. The garlic naan was actually cold.Safe to say that I won't be ordering a take-away from Shakil's again, which is a shame.
