Been here many times over the years, sad to say this is probably the last. Food and service going down hill and prices are going up

I had tuna and mayo sandwiches with a cup of coffee. The sandwich was very good if a little pricey for what it was, the coffee was also very good. Staff are friendly and efficient operating in a large busy room.

We have visited this cafe on a number of occasions. The hot food seems to be nicer than the sandwiches which I found a bit dry. What I found most surprising was the treatment we received when we visited on 2 occasions with elderly people. One was a lady who had had an operation and who couldn't eat much, the other was an old gentleman who also struggled to eat. We asked on both occasions if we could have a childrens/oaps portion for the two guests and were told they only did children's portions for children and they wouldn't serve us those. We were told to order a full size meal and leave half. I found this to be really inconsiderate and unhelpful and it puts me off visiting again.

My mother in law used to enjoy going here for her lunch, and since she passed away 3 years ago, my husband and I have met with her sisters on her birthday, for lunch. Never again. We ordered Soup & A Sandwich (£6.99) for 2 of the group. The 'Cream of Vegetable' soup was bland and could only be improved by the addition of a large amount of salt. The Cheese & Pickle sandwich was on bread which seemed to have been dried out. We asked for drinks to be brought with the meals as we have found in the past that drinks are brought well in advance of the food. THIS time, we were almost at the end of our meal when the drinks came. No apology. Food is overpriced and poor quality in my experience - will be looking for somewhere else in future.

We have been to the Seasons several times over the past couple of years and it has been fine. This time it was poor. I had a prawn sandwich and chips.. for the price you pay you should expect decent bread not some dry thin sliced cheap bread. No butter and a few prawns. The jacket potato was not a lot better, overcooked and burnt. Cheap chips ... overall very poor. Drinks were fine.

Today. My husband, sister and I took our 90 year old mother out of her care home to Seasons for lunch. A trip she was looking forward to as it's a place she enjoys going. Due to failing health she seldom gets out. We ordered teas coffees and three lunches at £7.99 each. As mum eats very little there was no way she would eat a big meal so ordered her the fish goujons and chips from the junior menu that came with ice cream at £4.99. When the waitress brought the meals over we were told we should not have ordered the meal as it's only for children under 12. Even thought she could see mum was very fragile and sat in a wheelchair. We were just about to order more drinks and desserts when a waitress came to collect the empty plates. Mum asked about the ice cream she ordered and was told she couldn't have it as we shouldn't have ordered the meal!! She was very disappointed. I was upset that we wanted to have an enjoyable meal with mum which was spoiled. Would it really be such a big deal to bend the rules to give a customer a good experience and let her have an ice cream? We never ordered the drinks and desserts and left. I will not be going again. I work in a service industry and bend the rules of it means a customer leaves happy. Clearly not at Seasons.

Had some time on my hands between appointments one day, so visited for breakfast. No negatives. Spacious restaurant, and there was already a bit of a buzz about the place. Full English cooked to order, and a regular latte cost just under £8, so good value too.

The latte was nice, a good selection of coffees but the teacajke was not. It was hardly toss the in one side and not at all on the other. It seemed poor quality too. Not what I was expecting from previous reviews.

We landed here by accident, as we were looking for somewhere for lunch. The place was immaculately clean, with good staff and swift service. The food was hot (makes a nice change) and was quality and value for money. Although the restaurant was a little chilly for January, we had a very good experience and the Churchill has now gone on our very short list of good places to eat - we will be back!

Myself, daughter-in-law and my 2 grandchildren visited for lunch last week. It was about 1pm. I ordered the kids meals, my daughter in law only wanted a light bite so I ordered a children's meal for her. I was very rudely asked to confirm that these meals were all for children. I told the assistant that 1 wasn't. She told me that I can't have one for her otherwise here will be a cost issue as other customers wuill want them. I then ordered soup. I was then informed very abruptly that there was no soup left. I was very annoyed by the way I was spoken to by the lady on the till, so I told her to cancel the order. The cost would have been £30+. I objected to being spoken to like I was a child. I then took my business elsewhere where I was spoken to politely. I will not return.

Having used the Garden centre for many years approximately a year ago my Wife started taking her elderly Father to the Restaurant every Sunday for breakfast. Reasonably priced and good food my Wife's Father looked forward to his Sunday breakfasts. Approximately 1 month ago on a Saturday afternoon we tried the brunch. My Wife asked for a toasted tea cake and the young girl working on the till stated we haven't got any. Do you have crumpets? reply No! I asked for a beef muffin with gravy. The young girl stuck her head in the kitchen and asked if they could make gravy. NO said the cook ( not Chef) No gravy said the young girl who gave the impression that she didn't want to be there "only on Sunday lunch". Out we went without food. Everyone has a bad day from time to time so My Wife phoned Seaon's yesterday to enquire about afternoon tea for today 24/08/2017 as she had bought her Father a gift voucher a couple of months ago. Just come along was the reply, no need to book. At 15:20 on Thursday 24/08/2017 My wife and her Father arrived at Season's stating " We have come for afternoon tea" From the kitchen area the cook ( Not Chef because a chef wouldn't behave like this) was heard to say " Oh No you've not!". The young girl said the Chef ( her words) hasn't got any scones. When asked if he could offer an alternative option, the reply was " No he's not doing afternoon tea"

Went here at about 1230pm on a Sunday. I had the beef Sunday Dinner and my husband had chilli with rice and nachos. We both had a glass of Pepsi and the bill was £18.00.The food was good; we both enjoyed it, and the restaurant itself was large with comfortable, high backed chairs. What let it down was the 10 minutes we had to wait to actualy put our order in, even though there were ownly 2 or 3 other couples in front of us.It is a little on the expensive side but it was a nice place to chill out and we will definately be going again.

I arranged to have a small reunion with friends yesterday at Seasons Restaurant, All in One Garden Centre, Rochdale. Mandy Smith the manager took the booking over the telephone and when we arrived had arranged a reserved table near the Christmas tree and by a window which created a lovely atmosphere. Mandy and her team made us feel really welcome. I had ordered 'Afternoon Tea' which comprised beautiful freshly made assorted finger sandwiches (the fresh salmon ones were particularly good) with a salad garnish and potato crisps, fresh scones with butter, top quality raspberry jam and a HUGE quantity of fabulous clotted cream. Additionally there was a lovely selection of fruit tarts. The presentation and flavours could not be faulted. Coffee and tea were served as required with no problem asking for extra tea. Thank you Mandy and team for a lovely meal and making everything so special.
