Visited the cafe as was doing some work in the garden centre. I got a full English. A coffee and peice of parking. It cost £14.60 not only was it expensive but the bacon had been sat under the heat lamps for ages and was dry and tough. The sausages the same. The beans were cold I couldn't have black pudding as it was still frozen I was told. I was charged an extra £1.80 because I wanted toast with it. So not only was the breakfast already expensive but they also charged a fortune to add toast. I was so dissapoited. I can get a much much bigger better breakfast with unlimited filtered coffee and toast for £4.80 at the weither spoons in sowerby bridge. Apauling only thing nice about it was the coffee.

Popped in here for a drink and a cake. There was no queue and for a Saturday it was quiet. Service was quick and the drinks and cakes we chose were lovely. Prices decent and staff pleasant.

I didn't really enjoy the cakes. I love baking and I have very high standards when it comes to chocolate tiffin and nearly all the cakes and desserts seem to be a little bit stale.

After trying without success to find a cafe nearby that was recommended, we were in need of a late lunch so decided to return here instead. We like this place as there are nice big windows you can look out of if you are lucky enough to get a window table, or sit outside if the weather is fair. There is a good choice of food, but I do feel that over £6 for a jacket potato is rather extortionate. We could see our meals on the hot counter, but the two girls who were serving were too busy talking and left them sitting there a while before we were served with them

We went for lunch on Sunday day to this café, my partner had gammon and chips and I just had jam on toast. Both were really nice food wise, and I found the menu was full of different choices which was good. The staff also seemed very friendly. My only negative comment is that the cutlery was dirty, they were in baskets like a self serve where you got your own and I was looking for a small spoon for my cuppa tea and they were all stained and dirty looking. I ended up stirring it with the other side of a knife! Price was decent and didn't take long for the food to come out either to say they were pretty busy. Nice place to stop for tea and cake or a quick coffee after shopping :)

This is a run of the mill cafe with a limited menu, but it is a pleasant place to meet and sample the local produce cooked mostly to a good standard. Staff always appear under pressure and get the orders wrong probably as a result

Went on a Saturday morning to the Birchencliffe cafe for breakfast sandwiches, service slow , food ok, but £1 for tomatoes on a sausage sandwich is ridiculous, not only was the tomato over priced when it came it was literally half a tomato plonked in a sandwich.. disgusted!

We visited about a year ago and were disappointed. However,we returned today for afternoon tea(groupon) and it was fab. Our deal wasn't actually valid until January but Ana,the restaurant manager, honoured it. The food was lovely and plentiful and we would definitely return. I think that Ana has made the difference to this cafe. The staff were knowledgeable and a vegetarian alternative was offered with no issues at all

I took a friend on 15/11/16, as I have been here several times with no issues however, on this occasion it was really busy and I (as a fussy eater) had a couple of issues. I e-mailed the business early the following week and Ana; the manager, was very prompt in returning to me to say that she'd investigated the problems on that day and put measures in place to ensure that the problems I had would not reoccur. Ana invited me for a return visit for a coffee & a chat which I appreciated. I took my daughter with me yesterday (27/11/16) and the service and quality of the cakes couldn't have been better - Katy (I think that was her name) made us a lovely coffee and even put a heart in the froth. The café/restaurant itself was spotlessly clean, as it always is and the staff were extremely quick to clear up after customers finished their meals, allowing them time to finish their visits at their own pace and in a relaxed manner. If you're in Shelley or Kirkburton and want to eat in a lovely, scenic atmosphere and eat some of the finest food there is at this end of the range, please visit - you won't be disappointed.

Lunch ok. Dreadful childrens area sacrificed for more tables which badly needs improvement. Food delay.

We were on a geocaching 17 mile Tour around the Mast by car and half way round we decided to call here for lunch, on time for once rather than late afternoon!! We have been here many times in the past but had been told by a couple of friends that they had visited recently and were disappointed. However, hunger prevailed and we called in. pleased to say we were not disappointed, and had lovely steak pie, chips and peas, and quiche of the day, chips and salad. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice day and we love the view from here, and had hardly at down before the food arrived which was surprising given the number of customers. The quiche was quite large, lots of salad and the chips were delicious to say I am very particular about frozen chips!! I always need additional hot water for my tea as i do not have milk and this was no trouble to the assistant who was very pleasant.

We visited today, fairly early after opening so not many customers. We had a nice breakfast although the bacon was curled and quite brittle so had been standing for some time. Staff were pleasant but music was rather loud. I visit regularly as it is a convenient place to meet friends for lunch and is always busy at lunchtime. I do not understand why service at the till takes so long though. It takes ages to key everything in although I am sure the staff are doing their best.

I regularly visit here with my baby daughter as it is a nice walk from where we live and once there it's nice to stop for a hot chocolate and to feed her. I really like the hot chocolate from the machine and I like that you can help yourself to tap water, it's a nice touch. I do find that the cakes are a bit pricey, but they do look and taste amazing. As I struggle to carry a tray and push a pram several staff members always come and ask if they can help me which is very kind of them. In currently breast feeding my daughter and one very lovely waitress came to me to say that if I needed any water or anything to just ask and she would help and to say I was welcome to feed anywhere. I was really touched! I also need to mention the views which are just outstanding. I've always liked this cafe but the kindness shown to me and my daughter recently has blown me away. You should be very proud if your team!

Great little cafe in the Garden Centre..good breakfasts, cakes & sandwiches. Staff are a little stiff, could do with better customer skills, but for the most part they're very busy, so dont need to care.

The tea, coffee and cakes were OK but the till system could be improved as the operator also had to prepare the drinks which meant for a lengthy wait. The place was very busy which is a good sign, the breakfast in particular was popular with a two-for-one deal but we noticed it took a long time for the tables to be clearer/cleaned. A few more staff would help Seasons to run a lot more efficiently.

Visited the Shelley outlet so comments below refer: 'Today's Special'........Paninis.........off! At 1215? Loud staff, slow checkout, disorganised and terribly overpriced. Little choice at 1315......empty shelves and servery. A disaster!

We have been here before the new owners took over and again today and the standards have not changed. The cafe is always busy when we have been (a good sign) and the food is freshly prepared and not like cheap pub grub. Reasonable value for money and pleasant surroundings a good pit stop whilst looking round the garden centre.

We used to come here when it was the family run Armitages Garden Centre and the food was not great but it was a handy stop for a cuppa. Now Wyevale have taken over and the food is much better though their new ordering system is obviously causing problems. Firstly it takes ages for staff to key in what you want at the till and then some of it doesn't turn up. The quality is good though and the new staff are far less surly.

Went today with my Mum to have breakfast/lunch before we did our shopping. We arrived just after 11am. Mum wanted a breakfast, I fancied one of the 'light bites' which are mainly panini's (which I like) I went to the counter to ask if the 'light bites' were being served at this time. Yes indeed they were, they are served all day. Excellent. So I ordered the tuna, cheese and spring onion panini but the lady said they weren't serving paninis as they had no panini rolls. No problem, so I asked if I could order from the 'lunch menu'. The lady then suddenly announced that no food would be served for 30 minutes as the chef had just left the kitchen to have his lunch! Really? I half thought she was joking but she then kind of ran off into the back. Went to get Mum who'd found us a nice table to tell her lunch was off as the chef was having his 😀 Did our shopping, was interesting to find packs of panini rolls in the bread section 🙄.

Not too bad, food was ok and the place was clean, although service could be better. Maybe a little refresher on customer service?
