At first glance it the store looked promising, get home and start eating the food, some chips were undercooked. Fish was full of grease you could see it dripping. I ate half of it, and now the next morning im hanging my head over the toilet… Will not be returning

Fish tasted pretty awful, not all chips were properly cooked, curry sauce was very watery. Only reason not giving this place 1 star is because pricing isnt half bad.

Been getting tasty fish and chips from here for years and popped in again this evening for cod and chips and battered sausage and chips and it was lovey quick service with. Smile again. Highly recommend 5 ⭐️

Seafare catered for a fish and chips night at our village's cricket pavilion. We placed our order well in advance. On the night, I pitched up at the agreed time, paid the bill and was out the door with two large packing boxes full of fish and chips. Everyone at the club really enjoyed their meal and it made for a great evening. A very big thank you to the team at Seafare - they were so good to work with, everything was spot on, and the meal was delicious! Plus they managed to fit us in alongside a busy Friday evening trade. Well done!

Fish was small for £8 and had lots of bones and the chips could have been cooked a bit longer . Not very good this time

We have used Seafare for years and never had anything but a great take away. We have tried others in Godalming and Milford where we live now but Seafare batter & chips are the best. The staff are always friendly and cater for gluten free once a week.

Local fish and chip shop that is fairly busy on a weekend night. The prices are reasonable and the fish is nice the size can be a little variable at times but will visit again. The children's meal was nice and came with a drink.

If you close on Bank holiday Monday then please update your website and have a sign outside the shop that your shop is closed. Was hoping to have fish and chips as your business looks good

Reported instantly. Saw the owner with no hair spit in my chips because I returned the ones served due to be stone cold. Horrible human being that deserves everything coming his way. He also uses the Disabled bay illegally!!!!

Went in quite late one Friday evening. Young man serving was extremely polite and professional. Ordered large cod and chips, quick and pleasant service. When I got home, they had given me an extra portion of fish, which was fantastic. Fish and chips were both cooked really well and was very enjoyable!

First night in village after moving here and opted to go into village and get something to eat. So glad we did as found this gem. What lovely fish and chips. Great portion size and prices to match. Saveloy are the best I've had, not too spicy but with flavour and hot too. Will be back for sure, thank you. Served with happy, smiling face too.

Only had chips but in the two trips so far they have been great.

Tuesday 27th July 2021 we popped in at lunchtime to ask if Seafare could feed a hungry cub pack that evening after their day hike in the area around Bentleys Copse. We ordered 18 child meals and 7 leader meals for 5-30pm. The meals were all ready on time , packed up and labelled in cardboard boxes and even carried out to the car for us. The portions were generous, well cooked and enjoyed by everyone. The total came in at under £100 and were good value. We wouldn't hesitate using them again if we were camping near Cranleigh.

Got scampi and chips and it was everything I wanted it to be.

Probably the worst Fish and chips I have ever had, unfortunately we had travelled some miles before eating. Lovely and hot, however, overcooked fish and quite soggy chips.

Carn't fault the food.The problem is the servings they give you for large. This time my nan was happy as she was given rather then being charged for large and getting small portions.

We have bought fish and chips from Seafare Cranleigh many times over the last 20 years. Sometimes good, but we have also been disappointed a few times. Last night was the worst ever and prompted me to post this review. Very small pieces of Haddock (£6.05 each!) one piece of fish was exceptionally small and thin. Served with mushy, greasy chips (£2.70 per portion!). One of the chip portions was half full of overcooked end pieces and scraps, really these should not be sold. Very disappointing, other Cranleigh takeaways are generally of a very high standard, sadly Seafare stands out as overpriced, poor quality food. We will not be back.

Just popped in for supper and didn't fancy fish so had a battered sausage and chips ... disappointing really soggy droopy chips and the sausage was only 1/2 battered. Will not bother to repeat the experience

We use this takeaway at least twice a month. Large cod is always cooked to perfection and the chips are amazing. Portion size is huge. Staff are really friendly and an asset to the village.

Perfect place for a pit stop after the fireworks display. Not a massive portion but considering the queues they did provided some very tasty chips on one of the busiest nights of the year.

This is a standard Seafare restaurant, which means that the food is well cooked and plentiful. What stands out is the cheerful staff here, always a friendly greeting and smile..

A great location, which has huge potential, but Seafare let's itself down by not selling gravy. Pie chips & gravy, chips & gravy, chips, beans & gravy, chips, peas & gravy, even fish, chips & gravy. All great chip shop classics, but unavailable here. Rest of the food is ok, portions are fine, price is a little high, but no gravy.

Ordered Scampi, a small Cod and small fries. Perfectly cooked, great taste, not greasy at all. Faultless Service. Cannot fault.

I did a double take when I opened the bag, I could have counted the number of chips on both hands. Very fishy.

I love this chippy, the young man that serves me on friday is a very quick and polite worker, his dad is a great chap and they make a great team. The food is always piping hot when i get home and not too expensive.

I went by on Fireworks night with my dad, we expected quite the wait, and there was a fair queue going out the door, but it went by very quickly.

Gave them the benefit of the doubt as last time i ended up with acute indigestion. Bingo same thing again 40mg of omeprazole later i started to feel a bit better partner however felt sick as a dog. Chips cold and flacid scampi straight out frozen section of iceland.

Mostly really good foods and reasonable prices. My only real complaint is that some of the portion sizes are huge for their cost and some are comparatively very small.

The food is very well made, it's nothing gourmet, but that's not the point. The portions are generous for the prices, and there's a solid selection of fish, battered sausages, burgers. I'd recommend this place any day

We made a bulk order for a charity fund raising evening.The meal was delivered exactly on time,The fish was nicely cooked with a good portion of chips,the meals came with plastic cutlery,salt and vinegar. Everything was labelled clearly too.Our fund raiser was a great success! largely due to the good food...thanks Sea Farerwe'll definitely come back again

The fish is very dry, and still has the skin on it. The chips are probably the worst chips I have ever had

YES. We moved recently to the area and last Thursday we fancied a take away. Never did I think the local fish and chip shop would have gf fish and chips. I had a small portion- which was huge. Batter was really crispy and delicious and the chips were good but I wish I shared them as they were massive. The fish was good quality too. (The only issue with any take away is trying to get it home whilst still hot. Next time we will take an insulated bag but it was still tasty even though it was warm.)Gf batter was a lighter in appearance than the normal one, which I'm told was also very good. Will absolutely be back. A Shame it is only on a Thursday but I completely understand why- it would be detrimental to the business if it had to worry about cross contamination in the oil everyday.

Clean, friendly, and excellent quality food! Not for the faint hearted when it comes to portion size either. I am lucky to have this on my doorstep.

Have used this fish and chip shop on Cranleigh High St fro sometime now and have gradually become more and more disappointed with quality and more so quantity of size of portions. Just purchased 2 large fish and chips-appalled at size of portion of chips received, this is not the first time. This place needs to up its game as competition from nearby new fish and chips in Bramley is fierce-knocks the socks of this place.

What a great fish and chip shop . I found whilst walking down the main street. £2 for a battered jumbo sausage and chips, both were very hot and in my eyes(well mouth really) were the best I have had in a long time worth a visit if you are passing.

Sometimes outstanding bur defintely ok fish and chips. Sometimes excellent. Sometimes average. I have never had a bad meal from here in 13 years. If you go when it is busy then expect a wait but that is the same in every fish and chip shop.

Craneligh has two fish and chip shops, and they are both terrible.It's easy to say why Seafare is very poor. The batter mix is in the packets on the shelf at the back of the shop, and it has a terrible taste. The chips are always greasy, and never crisp.Lastly, the oil that eveything is cooked in leaves a really unpleasant taste in your mouth afterwards. Everything is as cheap and processes as possible, and that is a shame.After 12 years of living in Cranleigh, I did try a takeaway from here again last week, as my sons and I really love fish and chips.Nothing has changed unfortunately.

We've been buying fish and chips here for years. It is always good, excellent fish well cooked every time. The man that runs it is always friendly and helpful. Top place.......( not a pun).

this is a let down to the seafair fish and chip shops i know,i had burger and chips there yesterday and the burger was the worst thing that i had ever put in my mouth it also smelt like raw meat.i took all the food back and told them,the owner said there just the cheep ones we give to kids.WTF lol all i am saying is DONT EAT THERE and spread the word

the staff are brilliant here, the food is great, you get great portions and great service and most of all the best chicken burgers in england

friendly staff we ordered 120 meals for a charity quiz night and the food was superb and piping hot 5 stars all round
