Sartaj Indian Restaurant in Windsor and Maidenhead

Had a brilliant meal here mid week. Service was fantastic and food incredible. Chilli Chicken was different to how we've had before but much for the better and the Sartaj Curry was delicious. Also the keema naan was a meal in itself. Great value and will be returning as soon as we can.

This is our local and they never fail to deliver excellent food amazing quality. The menu has changed recently to bring prices down as most businesses to compete in difficult times. The ambience is really lovely and we are always offered a complimentary drink when we ask for the bill. Thank you

We went to Sartaj with the understanding it was a north Indian restaurant. It was a lovely setting although the music was a bit loud for us. The food was nothing like the menu suggested, we chose one hot, spicy dish and one medium for a bit of balance. However both were very bland and without much flavour. We did ask if the sauces were ready-made from jars but the waiter wouldn't answer, even though he clearly knew. The style was typically Bangladeshi not South Indian or Punjabi style. Apparently it was cooked that way to suit the English palate. He was probably right but it's not for us............

This is new to Old Windsor and obviously had a hard time during lock down, but we like to try local restaurants in our area. The food tasted very fresh and was delicious and spicy. I had the chicken with Garlic and chilli, and my partner had the lamb Jalfrezi equally good. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the tables were spaced to allow distance. We felt very safe, an excellent choice of wines and beers. we will be back
