The Nepali thali was nice to try out but quantity is small so the waiter suggested to order a Naan too.

No doubt...the best curry in this area!! Superb and ive tried them all. Creme de la creme!!

The food couldn't be more delicious! The waiter (Puren) gave us an excellent advice and we enjoyed the exotic flavours of the Indian/Nepalese dishes. 100% recommended.

If you like chutney Mary and Virashwami in London you need to add this Nepalese gem I Old Windsor to the list. The food is extraordinary. Super low key. All about the chef.

I took my family on the occasion of my husband’s birthday. We are tested with a birthday card with a personal message from the CEO which definitely added that extra personal touch. Very impressed with the service, attention and the food was absolutely amazing. The service was to the point with constantly checking if we were ok or needed anything. Food was served piping hot and each and every dish was very flavoursome and different. We will definitely be going again. And please try the Biryani, it was by far the best I have had ever.

Went last night and remembered what a gem this place is. We've been a few times and the service and food is always amazing. Great portion sizes and range of dishes. The menu is probably a good 6 pages long. The staff really go above and beyond, even though we no longer live locally we make sure we stop by anytime we're in the area. Someone mentioned parking, although it's limited in front there's a few streets nearby which are free.

Recently moved to the area so decided to visit. The food was fine, however all 3 of us end up with diarrhoea, not great then.

The staff are so friendly and the food is worth travelling for. The Nepalese specials on the menu are always delicious. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent, tasty food served to our party of 6, multiple delicate spicy flavours. Only the salted lassi could have been more fluid and salted. Attentive service. Large place that can accommodate significant groups.

Out first visit but cannot wait to return. Delicious food from a wide and very exciting menu. We had 3 courses each and we’re delighted with all our choices. Friendly and efficient service. Loved the sorbet which came after the first course as a palate cleanser. We are thrilled to have found this lovely restaurant. First class!

We booked Amchur as a last minute decision based on the reviews here. And I’m so glad we did! We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and shown to our table. We quizzed the waiter as to what dishes we should order as we wanted to try something different. I went for the laal Maas (pretty hot!) and my wife chose the Amchur Himalayan chicken curry, along with some rice and a bread. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be brought to our table. The food was absolutely delicious! Piping hot and so very tasty. I’d definitely recommend Amchur for the food and the very polite waiter, who continually checked on us throughout our time at the table. The prices are reasonable and there is no service charge (2 of us dined). Tip: you cannot park directly outside the restaurant due to parking restrictions. The road behind the restaurant (Albany Road) does not have any restrictions and there were many places to park.

Not only is the food amazing, but the service is outstanding too. All the staff went out of their way to make the evening special for us, right down to the chef himself. We were celebrating my cousins birthday, and they even decorated the table and gave her a birthday card - very thoughtful. The food is delicious and value for money. We will definitely be back!

This was a really good find. The food was really tasty and all freshly prepared. There was a comprehensive menu so that there would be something for all tastes whether you like it mild or hot. We had a great meal and will return when we are in the area.

Nice little restaurant, but big on ambience and experience. Went there for my son's birthday, was a very pleasant experience throughout the dinner period. The whole team is a cheerful lot, always smiling and greeting you and making you comfortable as if you are one of the guests at their home. They went the extra mile in the end to give us a complimentary desert with "Happy Birthday" music to make our day memorable. Way to go Amchur!!

Fantastically flavoured and beautifully presented Indian food. Situated in a small built-up area and not somewhere you would probably walk past every day, this is definitely a restaurant to seek out. Chef came out to check everything was OK and was obviously proud of what was served from the kitchen.

The food was lovely. I had the chicken Jalfrezi. Good amount of spice, and served better with a portion of rice on the side. The family enjoyed their Chicken Bhuna and Labaab dar, so we all had a nice time. The staff were very friendly as well, and the decor was nice.

This is a lovely little restaurant & it's good to support local. Their service is attentive and food is delicious, love that even the chef comes out to check you're enjoying the meal. However, could you please get your air con fixed as it gets too hot and when you open the door it's too noisy!

We had a lovely welcome for a birthday party. The food was very good with an extensive menu. The chef came out to talk to us about the menu and he checked on our progress during the meal. Be careful that the extras quickly add up as they charge per poppadom and for the chutneys etc.

Had a lovely meal here for Mothers day and on a great value Groupon voucher, this is one of the few times I've had Indian food and felt it was authentic, so much choice as well! Service was attentive and friendly and we didn't feel rushed either which was lovely. I struggle to think of anything negative aside from the menu prices, if it had not been for the groupon we probably would not have eaten here honestly!

The Himalayan/Nepali dishes and chutneys are very nice and genuine tasting. The North Indian dishes have the standard anglicised taste (I guess to cater to the local pallette) but the service was good and food was freshly made.

We came with a large group of 40 people and they accommodated us with our own area - we pre-ordered and the food cake quickly and very hot. It was all tasty and the staff were extremely helpful! We were shocked with how delicious the mains were. Some of the best Indo-Nepalese I've had. The starters leave a bit to be desired. Just missing some additional spice or texture that would have made them as exceptional as the mains. The staff were really lovely and helpful. We went for my mums birthday and they signed a card for her and it was very sweet. The prices are also a little bit steep for a restaurant outside of central London.

Starters were OK, Mains were very good. The service was nice and attentive. Atmosphere was a bit smokey from kitchen and toilets could be more cleaner.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout and it was an altogether memorable experience. I have given the food 4 stars because although the lamb Biriyani was excellent, the bindi masala was delicious and the garlic nan was fresh and fluffy, the traditional fish curry was disappointingly dry. I saw many interesting dishes being brought out from the kitchen, so I will certainly return.

At old Windsor in a quiet place (at least it was quiet when we went in the new year eve), this Indo Nepalese restaurant is quite good with a good atmosphere, tasty food and very warm service from the team. The restaurant has small availability of parkings which we could get as it was quiet on that day. However, one small feedback - The price is on the higher side, I understand, it is in Windsor but the portions of starters are really less with respect to the price (compared to other restaurants in London and around). But good thing is that the amount of each item in the main course were sufficient. So, they can really think of the price vs portions for their starters, if they want to attract customers.

Always a pleasure to dine with you as the food is superb and service is excellent too.

This neighbourhood restaurant in Old Windsor was a real find. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and their service was impeccable. Their attention to detail was helpful, and the food was delicious, nice portions, and piping hot - just as it should be.

You won't find tastier food anywhere else than Amchur Restaurant and Bar in Old Windsor. We had for starters Paneer Tikka - very generous portion and tasty. Also Tandoori Chicken - my husband loved I had for the main Amchur Himalayan Lamb Curry - don't miss this one - amazing. And Paneer Labab Dar perfect souse Give it a try

Amchur was a wonderful find in Old Windsor. We have never tried Nepalese food before and the waiter was very helpful in recommending delicious items to us and explaining them to us. The papadam dips were exceptionally tasty. Price was good. Overall the meal was excellent and we would definitely return.

Went on a Monday evening, it was quiet yet service was slow. Food was average and it is the first time that I have visited a restaurant where they charge you for condiments! We ordered poppadoms, which were £1 each and they arrived with 3 small pots - mango chutney (from a supermarket jar), mint chutney, and sliced onions with some turmeric. Each pot had around 2 tablespoons. We asked for some more mint chutney as it was not enough and got the same amount of 2 tablespoons again. We were charged £1.90 for all this in addition to the £1 per poppadom! I do not mind paying for good food but this was ridiculous!! I also noticed another reviewer had mentioned this is a pure vegetarian restaurant - this is incorrect, as it also serves non-vegetarian food cooked in the same kitchen.

My wife and I visited this restaurant few moths ago so when my son and I went to Ascot Racecourse I took him there for luch and again it was great for me and my son loved the food. Poran our waiter was brilliant and explained fully where the different foood we had in our Thali came from

Nice choice of Indian and Nepalese dishes. They’ll definitely be some you want find in a standard ‘indian’ restaurant. Service good with everyone friendly and attentive. Chef/owner came out to say hi. Only negative would be that it’s ok the higher price side of things.

This is the first time we tried Amchur. We had drove past a couple of times and really wanted to try, I’m so glad we did. The food was delicious. Really impressed! It was all very fresh, well packaged and perfectly spiced. The paneer tikka masala was gorgeous. I thought the portion sizes would have been ever so slightly bigger, especially for things like the onion salad and chutney for poppadoms. We had to ration it between us.
