Maidenheads!!! I am 2 yrs old in England and have recently moved here, Delhi jn has become my favorite. I have tried samosas, chicken and paneer Tikka, lamb and chicken biryanis on 2 different occasion and it was soo good. Atleast I have got a place that justifies Indian flavours in the area. I live locally and am in a Facebook group where someone recently asked ‘best Indian in the area?’. Delhi Junction was mentioned over and over, with stronger conviction opinions than most other places, so I thought I’d try it out as a takeaway. This isn’t your standard korma and naan place, for starters (no pun intended), they serve chaat which is always a good sign (try the tawa chaat). Food is excellent and the meat was good quality, in particular the lamb rogan josh. Murgh malai is great too. Having tried most Indian restaurants around the area, this is easily the best, and reminds me of a fantastic place in Hammersmith that was my go to other than Dishoom (Patri, if you’re ever in the area!). Price may be a few quid more than some other places, but it’s well worth it IMO! Enjoy!

1 star is generous. We arrived ordered our food and drinks, the poppadums were £2.49 for a portion which turned out to be a single poppadum snapped in to 2, when we asked about the portion sizes we were told it’s 2 pieces therefore correct. Our full drink order never arrived and at this point we had already eaten our starters. The drinks that did arrive (king cobra bottles) were out of date and when we sent them back he said it wasn’t their fault because they didn’t sell them much. Already a little annoyed at this stage the waiter then set the table for our mains and gave us a dirty plate! We gave it back and the waiter thought it would be acceptable to wipe the dried food with his finger to smudge it off and hand the plate back saying it was now fine! As you can imagine we’d had enough at this point and said to charge for what we had eaten and we would leave. Serious lack of customer service skills and the absolute joke of trying to charge 12.5% service charge when providing the bill. Won’t be returning. Wouldn’t recommend. Definitely don’t order the poppadoms.

Popped in after a good afternoon playing pool with work mates, really good menu with plenty of choices for meat eaters, vegetarian and vegans good wine/beer menu too. Nice decor with clean tables & comfortable chairs. Ordered roasted poppadoms which were lovely and the dips were spicy too. Two of us had the chicken Jalfrezi which was completely different from the usual we have had before at other restaurants it was spicy and cooked with sliced chicken, pepper’s & spices and not covered in a sauce like others, it was very tasty also the veg pilau rice was fluffy and had a nice flavour to it One of our friends asked for a chicken makani that was not on the menu but they cooked it for him and he loved it. The Peshwari naan was so good as was the Garlic naan bread. We had a chat with the owner who explained about where the dishes originated from and why the restaurant does things differently to others. We all agreed we had a great evening and meal Service and friendliness of the staff was great I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to friends, family and anyone You will not be disappointed Thanks again to all the staff for a great meal

A hidden gem and a treasure of Maidenhead. Delhi Junction scores on all fronts. You start feeling special for as soon you enter the restaurant. The Masala Tea warmed us up in the cold winter evening. We got the Tikki Chaat and Paanipuri for starters and were transported back to the streets of Delhi. Perfectly made, amazing authentic taste. For Mains, we had the authentic freshly made Lacche Paratha, Missi Roti, Naan with the yummiest Butter Chicken and the Dal Fry. We came in for lunch on Saturday. We ordered starters of onion bhaji, seekh kebab and samosa chat. Bhajis were nice and crisp, not at all oily and light. Seekh kebabs were very nice, with a warming ginger taste coming through. Samosas were nicely cooked and tasty. The starters however did take over 20 minutes to arrive, and we were the only table in there! Main courses of chicken taka taka, chicken chettinadu and garlic chilli chicken were served a bit more swiftly. Flavours were nice. The chettinadu had a hint of aniseed but had a nice heat to it. Garlic chilli chicken was not especially garlicky, nor were the garlic/coriander naan, but they were cooked nicely if a little light on meat content. Service by our waiter was excellent, he was very patient and knowledgeable. I felt the food was a little on the expensive side. Having looked at the menu prior to coming, I knew roughly what the bill would come to, so that was not a problem, but for what you get it's probably 20% dearer than some of our favourite places (in Eton, Hatfield and Southall). The food is good and it's the best I've had in Maidenhead, but it is a bit on the steep side and main courses are not as generously sized as some other restaurants.

Absolute rip off! The food tastes nice but nothing extraordinary that you won’t get in another decent Indian restaurant. So the 2 stars are just for the food. The prices are almost twice the price of what you’ll get in a decent Indian restaurant elsewhere. On top of that they add service charge. The service was extremely poor as only two people were running around to serve everyone and I had to wait for 10 minutes just to pay the bill. The restaurant itself is hiding on a busy main street with a shoddy outlook, poor interior and dirty toilets. It’s so unreasonable to ask for such prices when the whole experience provided is less than average.

It was good initially when i started eating at Delhi Junction around mid 2022, but now the taste of the veg main-course items are really bad. Once i requested them to make Biryani spicy, they sprinkled red chilly powder on the top of Biryani, this is not the way to make food spicy Boss. Also now cost is really very high.

Arrived without a booking/reservation. All tables were reserved! However they managed to give us a table as long as we were gone within an hour n quarter. Glad they did manage to squeeze us in as food was really good. They did not rush us to leave either. Prices are reasonable for portions.

Delicious food, the new menu includes street food and lots of lovely vegan options. The masala dosa is excellent. Our favourite place to eat in Maidenhead right now !

This is one of best place to have authentic Indian food. However, in the recent past months they have hiked the prices and it’s not affordable to have it frequently as before. Indian restaurants in Slough and Reading will be still cheaper even if we take a train and eat there. You must consider dropping the price if you need more customers.

First visit with six of us for my son’s birthday. Staff were great and food was lovely; best curry we’ve had for a long time. Staff were excellent and prices reasonable. Will definitely be going back for more. Thank you.

Thought the service was friendly, polite and genuine. The food was excellent. Loved the dips with the poppadoms. Had the railway lamb which was tasty.

We’ve enjoyed eating in & having takeaway at Maidenhead Spice since moving to the area 3 years ago but last night they really outdid themselves. I placed an online order and in the comment section asked if they could advise which dishes were gluten free on collection as we had a coeliac with us. They rang me minutes after placing the order (twice, I missed the first call) to discuss and allowed a substitution as one main meal contained gluten. We did keep the onion bhajis (for the non coeliacs)- and found they had written on the bag that the contents included wheat flour. We were very appreciative of the communication & care.
