Sankalp Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Food is very tasty. However I had to wait well over an hour for a collection order, after being told it would take 30 mins. Given I made this order in advance over the phone, they could have tried to give a realistic estimate instead of wasting my time by getting me to arrive so early.

The first time visit food was an amazing 10 out 10 ambience is superb overall all good

the atmosphere is very good with nice ambient lighting. ordered tandoori lamp chops and the sizes was good. the spice level is really good too with a perfect balance. food came quickly and waiter was polite. there is a good variety of food. definitely going to come there again!

If you are going for dosa then better to avoid. Ordered cheese palak(keerai) garlic dosa, they are using mozzarella in it which makes it totally bland! Avoid it. Green chutney was bit smelly and stale. Coconut chutney is totally bland. Sambhar is mediocre. Food takes lot of time to arrive! Comparatively, crispy dosa restaurant next door much is better.

We booked the whole restaurant for a party with lots of people and simultaneous demands of food and drinks. Right from the start Nitin and Steve were flexible and helpful. Staff was very accommodating and hospitable in rearranging the furniture, giving ideas from their experience and making efforts to make the event a big success. Food itself was appreciated by all the guests. They liked all dishes. Bar was well equipped with drinks and handled well by Steve and team. As hosts, we were busy with celebrations and guests. We did not had to worry about anything as Sankalp team looked after the event very well. Thanks Sankalp for a memorable evening.

Vegetarian options were a true highlight. The flavors were great, especially the Crispy Corns, Dahl Bukhara, and Saag Paneer. Great drink selection, and I highly recommend trying their mocktails. The staff was not only prompt and friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself is a clean and inviting space. The large windows provide a lovely view overlooking Milton Keynes shopping centre. And for sports enthusiasts, they even offer live sports screenings. Overall, a fantastic dining experience for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. I’ll definitely be returning!

Awesome thali meals, good desert and good food

Had take away from this place, 2 paneer dishes and hakka noodles, spent more than £30, it was awful food. As if they run out of gravey and they had to water it down just to fill the container. I bet even if someone try to learn to make food first time, following online guide can make better food than this place. Good rating must be from people known to them or may be they don't know the food tastes. Don't get fool by good rating, please don't waste your money. After my bad experience spoke to few friends they also pull their faces about Sankalp, that says it all I would not even give one star. There are many other places you can get tastey food as well better prices. When I contacted restaurant they were happy to give refund. Then they came up with excuses that I made order through Just eat, so I need to contact them, just eat asking me to go back to the restaurant as it was problem with food quality.

Starters were good and for mains lamb and paneer was good.

We had an enjoyable experience when we went for my son's birthday. The food and ambience was lovely.

The food and service were amazing. The only downside was that when my family went for dinner, there was a party going on at the same time. The music was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk across the table. A suggestion for management would be if they are having private events they should not open it out to the public or make sure the volume is at a level where other customers can still enjoy their meal. Apart from the loud music, the food was really good and servers were very accommodating.

My friend Leah brought us here to celebrate 8/3 international woman day. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staffs here. Steve the manager was very supportive . The food was very delicious. There was also live music which make the dinner feel so special . Will definitely come back here and highly recommend to everyone

For enjoying good quality food, customer need a decent seating atmosphere. Buffet food service requires planned walking circulation, for saving long waiting time in the food queue.

Nice selection of food options. The lamb bhuna was nice and spicy and the rest of our meal was tasty, too. Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Definitely going back soon (I work in the museum on the same block so it's super close as well! Bonus!)

Well positioned restaurant with good space and pleasant decor, furnishings etc. Service was slow though, 15 minutes for my friend's starter to arrive and 20 minutes for mine. I found my starter a little undercooked, but the main courses we both had were excellent, so if you are looking for Indian food in the City Centre, this is the best place to go. If you're in a hurry though, just skip straight to the main course.

The food was pretty good but the service could have been a bit better. I had finsihed my starter before my friends even showed up.

We came as a group for Women day . The food was amazing, the staffs were so friendly . Good place and nice music . The manager Steve was very friendly and supportive. Would defenitely come back soon

I ordered food for home delivery and was extremely disappointed by the quality of food. I ordered a masala dosa for my child and the dosa was cold and hard. I ordered Paneer Methi garlic and Malai Kofta for myself and I couldn’t believe that the food came from SANKALP. It’s not the first time I have ordered food from SANKALP so I am actually shocked and surprised by the quality.

I recently visited Sankalp in Milton Keynes and had a mixed experience. The ambience and food were great, but the prices were high. However, the mixed grill platter was undercooked, but the waiter handled it well. The replacement portion was small, which was disappointing. You’d think they’d replace the whole thing just to keep the goodwill going, right ? Instead, we got this tiny peace-offering, which pretty much looked like a culinary afterthought. Not the best move if you’re trying to make up for serving up a raw deal—literally. Despite this issue, I would still consider going back for the overall good experience with hopes of better portion sizes and properly cooked food.

Experience eating at Sankalp was good, ambience was great, good space in the restaurant, love the tava pulao reminded the original taste from back home, starters (masala Idly super), Dosa is offcourse they are best for, Staff were very friendly. It was worth long drive

First time dinning, family of 4. Asked for mild chilli paneer and dosa, my 7y old absolutely loved it which for us is a sign of a good meal. Great food and good portion size. We've been to crispy dosa next door but as Sankalp has far more choice, we'll definitely be back. Great to see more authentic Indian restaurants in MK. Pricing, competitive - it's 15mins from our house, so far us, absolutely amazing to have a quality restaurant on our doorstep.

Best Indian restraunt In uk. Service was really gud, especially happy with Steve he was very friendly with me and my children and gave us a good atmosphere.

Great spot for drinks and snacks with my friends. bar staff was amazing. Any help ask Steve, he is such a good vibe and helpful. Will come back just for Steve.

The Ambience is nice, the staff is very friendly. However, we ordered chicken biryani and a starter. The taste was good not as expected for the money spent there.

Went there with my friends for some snacks and drinks ended up taking 2 extra parcel of chat section. Aloo tikki and papdi chat are the best till now I have had in MK.

Overpriced average food. The vada idli were cold, sambar cold. I complained and the dosa came slightly warmer. Oh, and not to mention absolutely no salt. The India chilli chicken was tasty, but oily. The chicken tikka was passable, garlic naan was not properly cooked. We won’t be coming back. The van in MK served tastier South Indian food at quarter the price.

Food cost a lot very poor service.. waited more than 1.30hrs

this is the worst experience i had in any restaurant, in any country. the service is appalling. we have been kept waiting for two hours. when we inquire about the service we were told that they had to serve other customers first. they did not even apologize. i never saw a restaurant with such callous, hopeless service

Dosas and Chinese items are ok, but non-veg specially the tandoori items are really bad, it smells foul and was undercooked , it was not at all fresh, we requested them to make it second time but still the same…it was maybe unwashed or really old marinated chicken….it was too bad to eat and it’s really annoying that such overpriced food can we so low on quality

I visited this place today with my husband and two kids well the staff was very warm they offered high chair for my kids and treated us very well. The assistant manager who was intern there spoke so nicely and tried to connect with us it felt just like home . The rates were reasonable and we ordered south Indian food and starters just loved the food it just tastes like authentic Delhi food .... Loved it will definitely visit this place again every penny was worth it thank you sankalp 😃

First time visit and not very impressed. The good points first. 1. Clean and neat place 2. Spacious seating and well kept toilet facilities 3. Courteous staff 4. Plenty of parking available. 5. Very authentic tasting sambar, chilly chicken and biriyani. The drawbacks : 1. Some of the food were overpriced. There are plenty places nearby that we can get better food at 1/2 the rate .. 2. We ordered dosas and it was a disaster ! Small portions and not great. It left a lot to be desired. 3. The paneer we ordered was overly salty.

We visited today as saw good reviews however were disappointed with the service and food to an extent. First our order was messed up/ forgotten. They only told us when we asked why it’s not coming while all other tables were being served, even the ones who came after us. They gave excuses of staff sickness and a 10%discount which did not add up to the lateness or lack of service. The last straw was while we finally got the food and eating they came up and asked if we ordered the bill. We just took it at that point. We have never seen such service before where the bill was sent while eating, again a major communication failure amongst the staff. It felt like they just wanted us to leave asap. The dosas were good and so were the mendu vada, however the Manchurian and the fried rice were too salty and smelt full of stale oil. By that point we were too tired to complain as it looked no one cared. The only good part was they turned around a Hakka noodles order for kids very quickly. It’s a shame as the chain is famous and potentially the food can be a success but the management and service need a major overhaul as they do not get what hospitality means!

Amazing food and fantastic service.

Went yesterday and the food was AMAZING. Paneer 65 was sooo good. Plus the dosa was crispy and tasty. Pav bhaji was amazing as well but felt it was a bit overpriced. Overall very good!

Nice decor, a lot of money spent on this place. The detail however is in the attention to detail. The food was tasty and served into cold plates. After starters the main followed with No knife and fork, I ate mine with a spoon. Not impressed and the wine by the bottle looked reasonable but only to be served a small bottle Cotton linen but that was hard and the whole experience was a let down

Waste of money. Crispy Dosa underneath Sankalp in same building is way better taste. Third class taste and quality under the Brand name - Sankalp… Price is 30% more than average. Taste is 00. We ordered Dosa and Vegetarian mains. All poor quality snd taste.

I Googled and found this restaurant, when in the mall, close to the shopping centre, good food, ambience, service was quick and liked the methi chicken dish and lamb biryani

Excellent food and service. 6 of us and ordered mix of North Indian and indo Chinese. The Hakka veg noodles can be more flavourful and “ Haka”, but apart from that everything else including the butter chicken was great.

Great place for food and connect with family and friends. Food was fresh and just the right level of spicing. Good level of skill by the chef team across South Indian, North Indian and Indo Chinese. The service was quick and attentive.

Went here after a tiring shopping day at MK shopping centre. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Not expecting much we ordered for starters and drinks. The service of the waiting staff was quite good. Even the main course was tasty. The food was just too good. It covers various Indian cuisines, North and South.Just hope they maintain this standards. Will surely visit again!

I Really Enjoyed eating at sankalp, the staff was kind the food was exquisite and there was a variety of dishes and the cocktails were perfect. I would highly recommend eating at sankalp for a family meal and I would definitely visit again.

I fell in love with this place in their branch in India and this location did not disappoint. I absolutely love the food and the service is amazing. I've been twice and both times we had great food and great service. I would highly recommend everyone to go here.

Sankalp has really delicious Indian food. They have good south as well as north indian food. The variety of options here was the most I have seen in an Indian restaurant. The only downside is that it is bit expensive but other than that would recommend trying the lovely food here.

We tried this newest restaurant in Milton Keynes and have been so happy with their service, food and ambience. Their dosas are amazing, specially the sambhar that comes with it. I have tried their chaat and dahi bhalla was awesome. I can’t wait to go back and try out the cocktails from their menu. A shoutout to Vimal, Vinny and Krinal for taking care of us. Definitely recommend this place for some amazing South Indian food, Indian curries and chaat! Update - We visited again few weeks back and this time we ordered few cocktails. Infact there was one cocktail photo I had seen on their instagram page and even though they didn't have it on their menu that time, they made it specially for me, how sweet. They call it the Coronarita. Check out the photo!
