Significant delay with delivery despite ordering over an hour in advance. Restaurant claimed delivery driver for Just Eat hadn't turned up yet even though even though the app said delivery driver was waiting at the restaurant. When I spoke to delivery driver, he said he hadn't been waiting long which confirmed the Just Eat app was not telling the truth. It doesn't help that Just Eat are not contactable.

Best indian dining place. The staff (especially Krinal ) has been very welcoming and polite to us. We have been a usual to here for quite some time now. And have never been disappointed. Along with an elaborate menu for chaat, starters, non vegetarian and vegetarian delicacies, they have a wide range of dosa’s and uttappa’s for south indian food lovers. Would definitely recommend this place

My wife and I went here to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary. We were warmly welcomed and our drinks arrived quickly. We enjoyed the vadas and sev puri to start off the meal followed by lamb madras, butter chicken, veg pilau rice and choke puri. The food was very fresh and full of flavour. Our server Vimal and the manager organised a surprise dessert for us at the end of the meal. There is a well stocked bar here offering a wide selection of cocktails, spirits, wines and beers. There are also a good selection of vegetarian, vegan, dairy free and gluten free items on the menu. They will go out of their way to accommodate any dietary needs. A very enjoyable evening and we will be back for a repeat visit. Thank you.

Todd is my go to place in India. So very pleased that I had the chance to visit the UK branch. The food to my back to India. This restaurant gives you authentic flavours of India. Our friends one of who enjoys his food was full of compliments. The people who work at the restaurant provide a no pressure service and don’t over visit you while you eat. The minor adjustments we asked for our food were catered for. We will be back.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my Ruby wedding anniversary. We ordered vadas, dahi puri, butter chicken, lamb madras, pilau rice and some puri chole. The food was fresh and full of flavour. Vimal who served us gave us a surprise dessert with the approval of the manager to mark the occasion. They have a well stocked bar offering a variety of cocktails, spirits and beers. Plenty of gluten and dairy free options on the menu. They even cater for vegan and vegetarian diets. A very enjoyable visit with a repeat visit on the cards. Thankyou and keep up the excellent work.

I had a highly disappointing experience at this restaurant. We visited on a Saturday night when it was quite busy, but there were only three waiters attending to all the tables. Despite ordering just two dosas, it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold. We had to request water three times before it was brought to our table. Additionally, we waited another 15 minutes just to receive the bill. This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give zero stars, I certainly would.

The food was nice but took nearly 2 hours to come. They don’t bring food out together in a table so we had half the table finish their mains and the other half not even get their mains! Overall a poor experience with unresponsive wait staff. Such a shame as the food was very good.

The ingredients used were fresh and of the highest quality, resulting in dishes that were both visually appealing and incredibly delicious.

Me and my wife went here for a quick lunch. We went for a lovely vegetarian lunch option. The food was amazing, everything was made in house, even the naan bread and chapati. The service was great too. We are not local but will definitely visit again if we are in the area. Recommended

One of worst experience I had, being pure vegetarian and ordered vegetarian food but served chicken( such a pathetic experience). Vegetarian family’s be careful about hey can serve you anything without considering your belief and religion

What a shame. 80s red and black decor. Staff wearing dirty uniforms. Noone came to ask us if everything was alright. The place was empty. The male waiter served with a smile. Food not good. It was all swimming in oil. See pictures. Waitress at the end said " shall I take it if you've finished?" (having already paid the obscene bill! which they had the nerve to add 8% percent service charge). We always tip for good food and good service. We were not going to do so in this case as the food was not at all tasty. I told the waitress I'm sorry but the food was so oily you can see the oil swimming on top. I could feel my stomach churning as we left. I can't see that the place will last it was empty on a Friday night. Just giving our honest opinion. Also the gentleman behind us returned his dosa and and asked them to make it properly again. So seemed to be the general consensus in an empty place. Not much ambience inside but there was much entertainment outside (thank goodness for big windows).

Definitely not value for money, £6.95 for a single Mumbai vada pav !!! that too it is smaller than the usual Vada Pav , taste also not that great.

Visited this restaurant last week . Food was really good, specially the sambar. Their sambar reminded me of the taste of the sambar I had in one of the restaurants in Mumbai ( Sadanand ) . Ambience is very neat and clean . Loved the cutlery and heavy metal silver utensils used for serving food. Inspite of this being a restaurant serving both veg and non-veg food, the veg food served seemed to be freshly made and without any peculiar smell of oil ( I had been to other Indian restaurants in MK, where the food got the smell of re used oil) We were served by lovely young lady Vinila ( Vini ) . She was very attentive , polite and efficient . Got a chance to have a word with the restaurant owner Mr. Patel, who seemed to be very nice as well and was open for the honest feedback. Finally MK has got a Indian restaurant serving good food and service. Thank you team Sankalp. Love from family of 3 , Stansted UK.

The service is good, food reviews as follows: 1. Medu vada -4 teeny tiny vadas served with 3 chutneys & sambar. Chutneys were average (no salt at all) vada was ok, sambar was good. 2.Schezuan Chilli chicken was quite good. 3. Samosa chaat - Soggy cold mess! One to avoid. 4.Chicken fried rice -Bland, with dry pieces of chicken and a smell of raw eggs. Avoid ! 5.All the vegetarian dishes are mostly some form of paneer, and as we didn't want paneer, we ordered Veg diwani handi which came with plenty of paneer !! We didn't manage to eat more than one bite. Even after adding salt and pepper and mixing in the lemon pickle it remained inedible. 6. Butter Naan - was average. 7. Roti was thicker than the naan- rubbery and tasteless. Avoid! 8. Mango lassi - average 9. Masala papad - average. Not at all impressed with the food.

We have visited Sankalp yesterday to celebrate a birthday of our child.Very disappointed with the quality of food and taste. We have ordered Garlic Naan, paneer butter masala, vegetable gel frizi, vegetable fried rice, All the dishes were oily and not cooked properly. I have never seen that kind of naan before, It was oily and undercooked.

Amazing Indian food that will flatter your taste buds. As someone who is a connoisseur of Indian food, I can guarantee the food is authentic Indian unlike many other curry places around UK. The menu is vegetarian friendly The service and atmosphere is top notch and our whole family had an wonderful food and time including our baby.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Sankalp in Milton Keynes on 18th May 2024. We ordered the veg biryani and medu vada, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. My kid also loved the food, which speaks volumes about its taste and quality. A special thanks to Krinal for the excellent service; she was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic and tasty Indian cuisine!

For a brand that proclaims itself as an international phenomenon, our experience was nothing short of a satire. We dined at Sankalp to celebrate my mother’s birthday; expecting a refined experience befitting of such a special occasion. The pricing is extraordinary; for the service, quality of food, and ambience on offer. Our service was slow; taking 2 and a half hours from the time of entrance to receive our food. We finished starters before I received my drink; I finished my main course by the time my father’s order arrived almost 20 minutes later. This is in addition to an amalgamation of other problems, including but not limited to food quality, restaurant ambience, incorrect invoicing, and accessibility issues. The service, though slow, was provided by staff who were clearly doing their best under such difficult circumstances. They were friendly and apologetic; indicating that aforementioned issues are more reflective of management disarray, than individual efforts. Despite its seemingly esteemed reputation, Sankalp did not deliver a satisfying dining experience. Management and operations require significant improvement to match the efforts of its front-of-house team, to ensure a memorable dining experience for all the correct reasons.

If you crave authentic Indian food, this is the place you want to visit. Quality food, consistent quality, impeccable service. Vimal and Vinny are amazing, fab, great service. Highly recommend this place.

Awful, visited Sankalp yesterday, food was tasteless and very slow service. So slow, some of us, didn't get our food until everyone had finished. Simple dishes like a fried rice, can at the end, when our patience ran out. Would not recommend this place, also very expensive.

It is a brilliant new place in the town, a chain of restaurants from Ahmedabad known for superior South Indian cuisine specialities. However, we tried all sorts of cuisines and I wasn't disappointed at all. The beats of the restaurants are service, location, and well placed tables. I most certainly recommend the place.

Food is very tasty. However I had to wait well over an hour for a collection order, after being told it would take 30 mins. Given I made this order in advance over the phone, they could have tried to give a realistic estimate instead of wasting my time by getting me to arrive so early.

Visiting MK for work - opted to order via Uber eats . Ordered a plain thin dosa and idli pud . Both came with sambar and 3 chutneys . One word - Yummy ! Perfectly cooked dosa and sambar - good consistency.. chutneys spot on Fluffy idlis with ghee and chutney pud ! Can’t fault the food !

If you are going for dosa then better to avoid. Ordered cheese palak(keerai) garlic dosa, they are using mozzarella in it which makes it totally bland! Avoid it. Green chutney was bit smelly and stale. Coconut chutney is totally bland. Sambhar is mediocre. Food takes lot of time to arrive! Comparatively, crispy dosa restaurant next door much is better.

We booked the whole restaurant for a party with lots of people and simultaneous demands of food and drinks. Right from the start Nitin and Steve were flexible and helpful. Staff was very accommodating and hospitable in rearranging the furniture, giving ideas from their experience and making efforts to make the event a big success. Food itself was appreciated by all the guests. They liked all dishes. Bar was well equipped with drinks and handled well by Steve and team. As hosts, we were busy with celebrations and guests. We did not had to worry about anything as Sankalp team looked after the event very well. Thanks Sankalp for a memorable evening.

Vegetarian options were a true highlight. The flavors were great, especially the Crispy Corns, Dahl Bukhara, and Saag Paneer. Great drink selection, and I highly recommend trying their mocktails. The staff was not only prompt and friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself is a clean and inviting space. The large windows provide a lovely view overlooking Milton Keynes shopping centre. And for sports enthusiasts, they even offer live sports screenings. Overall, a fantastic dining experience for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. I’ll definitely be returning!

Had take away from this place, 2 paneer dishes and hakka noodles, spent more than £30, it was awful food. As if they run out of gravey and they had to water it down just to fill the container. I bet even if someone try to learn to make food first time, following online guide can make better food than this place. Good rating must be from people known to them or may be they don't know the food tastes. Don't get fool by good rating, please don't waste your money. After my bad experience spoke to few friends they also pull their faces about Sankalp, that says it all I would not even give one star. There are many other places you can get tastey food as well better prices. When I contacted restaurant they were happy to give refund. Then they came up with excuses that I made order through Just eat, so I need to contact them, just eat asking me to go back to the restaurant as it was problem with food quality.

We had an enjoyable experience when we went for my son's birthday. The food and ambience was lovely.

The food and service were amazing. The only downside was that when my family went for dinner, there was a party going on at the same time. The music was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other talk across the table. A suggestion for management would be if they are having private events they should not open it out to the public or make sure the volume is at a level where other customers can still enjoy their meal. Apart from the loud music, the food was really good and servers were very accommodating.

My friend Leah brought us here to celebrate 8/3 international woman day. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staffs here. Steve the manager was very supportive . The food was pretty good but the service could have been a bit better. I had finsihed my starter before my friends even showed up.

Well positioned restaurant with good space and pleasant decor, furnishings etc. Service was slow though, 15 minutes for my friend's starter to arrive and 20 minutes for mine. I found my starter a little undercooked, but the main courses we both had were excellent, so if you are looking for Indian food in the City Centre, this is the best place to go. If you're in a hurry though, just skip straight to the main course.

I ordered food for home delivery and was extremely disappointed by the quality of food. I ordered a masala dosa for my child and the dosa was cold and hard. I ordered Paneer Methi garlic and Malai Kofta for myself and I couldn’t believe that the food came from SANKALP. It’s not the first time I have ordered food from SANKALP so I am actually shocked and surprised by the quality.

I recently visited Sankalp in Milton Keynes and had a mixed experience. The ambience and food were great, but the prices were high. However, the mixed grill platter was undercooked, but the waiter handled it well. The replacement portion was small, which was disappointing. You’d think they’d replace the whole thing just to keep the goodwill going, right ? Instead, we got this tiny peace-offering, which pretty much looked like a culinary afterthought. Not the best move if you’re trying to make up for serving up a raw deal—literally. Despite this issue, I would still consider going back for the overall good experience with hopes of better portion sizes and properly cooked food.
