Tried this place on the off-chance, not knowing anything about it. After all, one pizza's much the same as another, isn't it? "A Margherita, please." Sat down in an atmospheric narrow cavern with a corrugated ceiling, set in a railway arch. Room for little more than one line of tables. I was the only customer. Three staff on--two youngsters and a lady owner. I felt a bit awkward. Bit of a wait. Good sign, though. And, oh my gawld, what a pizza it turned out to be! For a start, it was square. (So, no, all pizzas aren't the same.) The base was very thick and almost chewy in places, especially the corners--but in a good way, like sourdough. The mozzarella was the real thing, with cartoon-like elasticity which made eating this pizza an experience--the opposite of a fast-food pizza. The tomato sauce ran into pools over the surface. They'd cut the pizza into 4 quarters. I only managed 3, it was so filling. And I thought I could eat any amount of pizza put in front of me. No way should a place like that have been empty. One of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life.

Always my go to place for pizza. Never disappointed when I order from here! Great location for it, lovely and cosy inside, especially at night with the lights. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. I recommend the Muy Picante or the Chicken Kiev! 😋

Simple menu of Detroit pizza with good options for vegetarian and willing to make as vegan. At first glance may look expensive but the large pizza is more than ample for 2. Happy to walk pizza round to the bar next door.

We used Sangers for a private event last night for a 60th birthday party, hosting about 35-40 people. Sangers is central to Worcester so easy for people travelling down from all over, it was clean, tidy and everyone commented how trendy it felt, like places in London. Everyone (especially Joe and Del) was super helpful throughout the whole organising and evening making sure we were happy with everything and checking if we needed anything else. The pizzas as always were define the funky fungi being a firm favourite! Would definitely recommend and will use again in the future for any other events!! I wish I took more pictures but was too busy having fun!

I have seen ‘Detroit style’ pizzas a lot online but never known anywhere in Worcester than sells them. Saw Sanger’s on Deliveroo and had to try it. Oh my word. Absolutely insanely good! Amazing value for money (cheaper and a thousand times better than any chain) I don’t often leave reviews unless something really blows by mind…well this has! Can’t wait for more Friday night treats in the new year. 11/10 from me!

As KFCs go, quality can be hit and miss, but this was bang on. Fresh hot food, clean dining area, fast service.

Everything about my order was disgusting. The boxes didn't have the freshness seals, my dip was squashed into the pizza (given the wrong dips as well), my side had the box open, the boxes were covered in grease on the outside with burnt cheese stuck to them, the delivery driver pulled up halfway down my street and phoned me to say he was "outside my house", and to top it all off MY PIZZA WASN'T EVEN CUT. Working in the industry myself, I have never seen service this bad. Ever. Edit: Months have passed, and I've given this Papa John's another opportunity. Sadly, I'm disappointed again. Thankfully, the food wasn't damaged this time. My order tracking moved to "on its way" almost instantly and stayed on that for at least half an hour. When it arrived, I was greeted by a young guy in no uniform, a white Addidas hoodie with his hood up, joggers on, and zero manners or customer service skills. He had no bag he'd brought my order in, just loose in his hands. Safe to say, my food was all stone cold.
