Sang Tong in Portsmouth

Excellent Chinese food, always hot and large portions, especially love the large pancake rolls and bbq spare ribs as extras, never have been disappointed, well done Sang Tong, for always being consistent, we love your Food.

I am writing this review not to be nasty, but hoping "Sang Tong" will take note of my reveiw. I am regular customer of this take away, but slowly the standard of food has deteriorated. I had a "beef curry" last night and I am sure the cow it came from must have been 100 years old, the beef was tough, chewey and was uneatabe levery poor standard. I phoned Sang Tong and informed them of the standard of the meal and they offered me a discount on my next meal( that's if I ever go back) but i should not be in the position of collecting my meal, getting home and then not being unable to enjoy and eat it. Management and who ever is responsible for quality of produce has to make sure the food is of good quality, there are hundreds of delivery and take aways to choose from and the experience of Sang Tong over the last month's have been of a poor standard. I will give Sang Tong one more try, and hope some notice has been taken from my reveiw, but if the standard continues like the meal last night, the only "Saturday Night Take Away" I will be having will be with Ant and Deck of another local take away.

had sweet and sour pork balls, some of them were off/ rancid the sauce set like jelly when cooled so don't know what that made of, cornflour maybe? threw most of noodles away after the pork experience. very poor quality food and not sure was safe to eat... had an upset stomach for a couple of days after, probably connected!

Never experienced nothing like this! Me and my whole family have been very ill from this Mouldy rotten chicken Greasy sea water (bbq sauce) Dog tin ribbs ‘bbq’ Also a family member of had a veggie option (plain noddles) was also very sick Cook/manger wasn’t concerned at all

If you fancy a Chinese and your looking after the penny’s then sang tongs will suit you fine.ive tasted better but I’ve also tasted a lot worse.they do a decent curry sauce and chips and an ok egg fried rice.average food at a very affordable price.

A family member recently moved just near this take away so after a busy day any work and a quick visit to her new him I decided to get a takeaway on the way home as it was getting late... I ordered three dishes but unfortunately non of them were very nice, I know sometimes some Chinese takeout do some dishes better than others, but for all three dishes to be well not good I am afraid to say I won’t be going back!

Easily one of the best take aways in Portsmouth. We use this place regularly as it's just around the corner. All the sorts of dishes that you would expect. Great value for money. Never had a bad meal from here.

It's ok for a standard takeaway, not great but it is local and will do! Probably won't have Chinese again from here, I just prefer other places

Sang Tong has been my preferred Chinese of choice in Portsmouth service is always good and staff are friendly the food is great and reasonably priced never had any issues here.

Revisited , continues to serve it's tasty chinese curry sauce even on busy nights. Keep up the good work

Have been coming here for about 20 years as I used to live nearby, now I travel a bit further to return as I especially like their Chinese curries which are served with a thickish tasty sauce which is better than I've had elsewhere. The Sang Tong is quite a small take away but offers a good range of dishes. Order by phone or over the counter. Service has always been pleasant , food hot and well cooked. You get free Prawn crackers if your order is over £10. It's open Mon, Wed, Thurs Fri & Sat 5:30 to 10:30 and Sunday 6:00 to 10:30 being closed on Tuesdays.
