As others have said this is a little gem and perfect for a relaxing, peaceful lunch. The staff are delightful, the food excellent, and the facilities are provided with care and attention to detail. The ladies loo is particularly impressive for what they provide for customers' care and comfort.

We visited this wonderful cafe for lunch again, it's such a warm friendly and welcoming place, hidden away from all the noise and chaos. It's easy to get to, either by bus or car, and well worth a visit. The food is freshly prepared, and great value, we had bacon and egg sandwiches with granary bread, they were delicious, and the tea was actually proper tea, as opposed to the overpriced dishwater you get at other establishments in the city! The staff, are amazing, and very professional, and we will definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

Normally only open Monday to Friday but was open today as St Stephens church was open for Bristol's Open Doors day and tours of the tower which are not normally available to view by the general public Food is prepared freshly and bought to the table and is a really reasonable price - if I am in Bristol during the week again I certainly will be back and with friends The staff are welcoming and it is run in conjunction with the Brandon trust for people with learning disabilities and this sort of initiative should be supported Keep up the good work guys

We were recommended this place for a coffee after getting directions to the motor bike show from a stranger. How glad are we or else we would never have found it. Its tucked away down a back street and is attached to the rear of Saint Stephen's Church. Its a lovely cafe that is pristine and decorated lovely. It also has great staff who have a wealth of knowledge of the local area. We had popped in for a coffee and ended up having a full english breakfast to go with it. It was all freshly cooked to order and was really lovely and didn't break the bank, whats more all the profits go to the charity that runs it, what more could you want!!! They have an amazing selections of cakes and panini's too!!!

Round the back of Corn Street. It's behind the church of the same name. I had a pot of tea and they brought it out to me in the garden. Would be peaceful were it not for the diggers in the Centre - out of sight but not out of earshot. A lovely place to be with the trees in blossom. Table was a bit wobbly, possibly because the flagstone is actually the headstone of the late Edward Hird 1763 to 1838. Run by the Brandon Trust to provide training and employment for people with learning disabilities. So doing good as well as being a nice place.

The food is of a really high standard, particularly the full English breakfast has a lovely flavour. I can also recommend the carrot cake-yummy! There is lovely warm, caring atmosphere. The cafe is helping those with learning disabilities train and work in a business environment. The recent carol service showcased the skills of the staff and its trainees with readings, organ playing and public speaking. There were crafts on offer with lovely mulled wine and home made mince pies.

The purpose and ethos of Brandon Trust is to enable those with learning disabilities to 'live free'. This cafe provides an opportunity for people to gain experience and confidence either as a stepping stone to something else or in and of itself. There are not too many cafes when those working there are being given such an opportunity. It is worth visiting and finding out more...

Stumbled across a perfect..hidden...peaceful ..needed... stop relax and re- fuel little sanctuary while out shopping in the busy buzzing hot Bristol town today. St Stephens church not only offers quiet contemplation, precious moments to pause, relax and experience a stillness. St Stephens offers good food freshly cooked comfortable indoor area to eat it or an area outside with trees grassed area and space that relaxes the mind, soul and feeds the stomach. The service, hospitality and friendliness of staff was second to none. On offer was a variety of Gluten free cake. We left with all intentions of returning the experience left us feeling we had found a very special place to re charge ourselves.

It seemed rather run down and even though the staff could see us they had to be asked to serve us. It has a sad feel to it - which is a shame. Perhaps being next to the bus station doesn't help
