Sainsbury's Restaurant in Isle of Wight

My daughter and i Enjoyed our breakfast and chicken nuggets. Quick service and with a smile. We had a great experience here all thanks to bradley that works here. Let me say, if he is here on the day you come in I'm sure you will too. Such a lovely man. And thankyou! A real credit to sainsburys.

We opted for 2 full English. Half the coffee had gone by the time the 2 cold breakfasts arrived and were sent back. To new breakfasts arrived after the coffee had been finished. Sadly the bacon had changed from having congealed fat on it to 2 stuck together, rock hard Crisps. The beans had a skin on them. Very poor for the price. I welcome your comments.

So , Sainsbury's have launched the Christmas range... a breakfast christmas Special breakfast called the pigs under blanket ... you expect something festive don't you ? Well, you basically get a bacon and sausage roll with the sausages carefully placed under the bacon... when I asked if I could have a special Kaiser roll instead of the usual boring bap, this was not possible due to allergy reasons. The kaiser roll by the way is available to purchase as a separate item, but it cannot be used for your festive bap... next time I just buy the roll, 2 sausages and some bacon.and make my own at the table ... a touch of cranberry sauce would have been nice too...

My mum & dad went into the restaurant today 21/10/22 had the fish chips & peas the fish was ok the chips were cold and like they had been standing for a while the peas look like they had been put on from somebody else's plate and the latte was not even hot. The tables were dirty went to 3 different tables then had to clean it themselves. Need more staff in the restaurant. Covids not gone away.

Ordered a haloumi breakfast. Spent the next 10 minutes after the meal eventually arrived playing "hunt the haloumi". It was so minute I needed a magnifying glass to find it. Nothing like the meal on the display board obviously there to grab your money then give you something else.

Waited 45 minutes for 1x kids chips and sausage and 1x kids fish fingers and sausage during lunchtime, 50% seating capacity. Instead of 3 fish fingers got 2, pointed this out to the waitress who shrug her shoulders and walked off. Complained to Sainsburys who are, a month later, still to respond.

Family over from South Africa did some shopping then realising decided we were hungry thought we would give the Sainsbury's restaurant a go. I order a cheese burger and chips my wife had a toasted ham and cheese And my sister's had cheese and onion toasty .Then I am told they do not have any burgers left yet the shop had many taste the difference burgers. I then ordered a lasagne I was then given a piece of lasagne that not in a rush but sloped on the plate it was disgusting beyond belief.The toasted sandwiches were ok but nothing to write home about. The tables were all dirty and no body was cleaning. We had to clean out own table. I do not think we will ever be going to this establishment again

Four of us decided to have a quick lunch after doing our weekly shop for a self-catering holiday. Good decision. It was about l.30 and quite busy so we were warned could be a 30 minute wait. However the meals came after about 20 mins so pretty fair. I had salmon and new potatoes and it was exremely well done and such good value for money. The other had fish n chips and an omelette and no-one had any complaints. All the staff we encountered were efficient and very pleasant. Very reasonable prices - we were quite surprised. Would definitely eat there again.

Perfect to start the day. Everything Hot well cooked by the very helpful staff.You must try the big breakfast Perfect Eggs.Bacon.Mushrooms.All Hot with a mug of tea what else can I say. a Must if in Newport.

Nice cup of tea and a good coffee. Great choice - we went for cakes and a cream tea. Cream tea was proper I.e. Roddas clotted cream and also Bonne Maman strawberry jam. Nice surprise.

Don't have the Lasagne it's a cheap value meal awful the service is very slow have to be desperate to go again

Ok f a stop gap, food seems OK nothing special,coffee always seem warm was told that's for safety reasons but you can drink it straight down,

Took ages to be served and then there was an issue with the staff having little change in the till. When I was asked to pay with the exact money I explained that I only had a ten pound note or a card I was met with a tutt and raised eyebrows and the note was snatched from my hand, the change was launched onto the tray and no mention of a thank you! Sorry if my being a customer was the wrong thing to do on the day in question but I thought you wanted customers to spend money with you - clearly not in this case!! Appalling service and when we finally sat down to drink our coffee it could only be described as warm and not hot and actually hardly had any coffee flavour at all. Won’t bother again- really disappointed- and to think I paid for that -REALLY!!

My girlfriend and I have eaten at Sainsbury’s cafe a number of times but this was by fair the worst visit yet! Staff were friendly but the service time was painfully slow! Almost 40 minutes for two meals! And when these meals that look forever to be cooked came out the quality was appalling! My girlfriend ordered ham, egg and chips and as you can see the chips were stone cold and over cooked like they had been sat there all day and the eggs were rubbery! Not a happy customer!

Have been a few times and the food has been okay but the wait used to be around twenty minutes. Went in last week and not only had they run out of fish for fish and chips but were told the wait for any food at all would be FORTY minutes!! First of all, they have a food store downstairs that surely sells frozen fish and what the heck do the café staff do with themselves to necessitate it taking that long to pop some food in the microwave? Overall, if you want a decent meal at reasonable price and want it before you pass out with hunger go elsewhere!

Quite reasonable. More limited menu than they used to have. Quite tasty. Nice piece of salmon. Interesting pie. Staff friendly and polite. Service quite quick.

We like to vary our weekend breakfast venues and if Sainsburys is the choice, we make sure that we're not on a deadline. A few weeks ago, we had to wait an unacceptable 41 minutes from queuing to meal delivery. When placing the order I was told there would be a fifteen minute wait to which I replied 'that's on the good side of normal'. Thirty one minutes later, the breakfast arrived. Was very nice but the wait left a nasty taste!

We tend to go here every few weeks when doing our shopping as it's quite fairly priced.

Visited this cafe last weekend. Having previously given it a very good review, now find the service very bad.Seems all new staff - the previous ones were very efficient. Had to wait 30 minutes for food - there seemed to be only one chef who couldn' t cope. Also tzbles not cleared. Must be cutting down on staff at the expense of customers but still want the same money. Will not visit again for a bit. What a shame!

This Restaurant has gone down the pan and is best avoided. We went there and ordered ham and cheese omelette. The omelette was best described as like rubber the salad leave were wilted. I was told we have run out of Mugs you can have the Latte in large mugs but they will only be half full. Just to add to the joy there was no cutlery available we had to wait for some to be washed up.
