Saffron in South Oxfordshire

We had an impromptu visit and were so glad we did. The food was delicious and the staff were so lovely. If we are in the area again we’ll be back!

Absolutely delicious takeaway, we hadn’t previously tried Nepalese food. The Ghurka Lamb and Kathmandu Chicken were both medium hot with real depth of flavours and beautifully cooked meat. We also had three Pokhara Delight mixed veg curry which was just as tasty. Delivery was quicker than expected. We’ll definitely be back!

We have used Kolkata many times over the years and they are a very firm favourite of ours. The food is always delicious, perfectly cooked every single time and I cannot recommend highly enough. Ali is always so kind and a fantastic host. Best Indian around, we wouldn't go anywhere else.

I ordered food for collection, and although it was ready in 25 minutes, it was mid at best. The pakoras (4) were soggy and unimpressive by the time they got home. The chicken tikka biryani was also a little disappointing. The rice had almost no flavour. The chicken was tasty but there wasn’t much of it. The vegetable curry was okay, but still uninspired. Overall the biryani was lacking in flavour and underwhelming. I’m a little disappointed, I’ll probably go elsewhere for an Indian takeaway next time.
