Quirky and seemingly popular as finding somewhere to sit is sometimes a problem. My first two visits haven't been wildly successful insomuch as on my first visit I was overcharged and my cheese and pickle toastie arrived as a baked bean and cheese version. Second visit, apparently run out of pickle and served with red onion when I questioned it. Hopefully, my third visit will not encounter similar issues. Pleasant staff but getting an order correct isn't rocket science.

Good selection of food that enabled everyone to get something they liked, great friendly service as well. All the food was delicious. After lunch we bought some delicious brownies to take with us to the nearby cinema as well.

I am a regular visitor to Royce Rolls and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The food is really great and the staff are so friendly. And smiley! It has a great atmosphere and is a great place to chill whether you want lunch or just a nice coffee. Such a good place to meet friends.

. Un poco rudo y listo pero amigable. Vale la pena una visita.

Have been a happy customer of RR for a good number of years. Food is always amazing. The choices are predominantly vegetarian & vegan although they do also offer tuna fish rolls. Personally I would like to see the cafe become entirely veggie but I understand that this may not be possible for them. Always smiling & friendly staff too.

Fabulous cafe find in Bristol. It was a busy environment but this little gem felt somewhat peacefully removed from the hubbub of central streets. Gorgeously fresh rolls with a great selection (and option to make your own choice of filling if none suited you) comfy seating and lovely friendly accommodating staff. Thank you all!

I’ve been a customer for more than 25 years and the current owners Evie and Maria have improved the cafe. They are enthusiastic about their business and do their best for customers. They are very welcoming and the great choice of food and drinks make it a regular choice of cafe for my late lunches. The prices are reasonable and the cafe is a firm favourite of many who visit St Nicks.

I am not your average veggie type but, it pays to stay healthy and at my age I have to watch what I eat, anyhow I have made a pledge to have a few healthy lunches every week so I thought I would try Royce Rolls in St Nicks. What can I say, it’s the full package, quality fresh food with impeccable service, smile included!!! If you are ever in the city centre for lunch, pop in.

We visited here on a trip to St. Nicholas Market. There was a good variety to choose from and it was mostly vegan which is perfect as it means anyone can eat there. The food is fresh homemade and the prices were very reasonable. Between us we had the vegan sausage roll, vegan caribbean pasty, vegan samosa and the vegan mixed salad. All very tasty and filling. I could not recommend this place more.

If you're fed up with generic coffee shops, this is the place for you. The counter has a wonderful display of veggie & vegan rolls, pies, salads & cakes & the chalk board menu offers even more choice. Between us, our group (all but one great meat-devotees!) had a nut spread roll, soup, walnut & stilton pie and falafel salad. All were interesting, tasty and moist - not one complaint! Best value was undoubtedly the huge falafel salad - a real plateful, with soft home-made falafel, humus and loads of different salads. Food & drinks for all of us came to less than £20, including a melt in the mouth vegan caramel slice (I thought I'd died & gone to Heaven!) The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Although the seating area is in an alley-way of the covered market, the tables are set back & it's not too busy, and there's a lovely vibrant atmosphere.

I'm still debating whether I want to count this one as a three or a four star so bear with me. We went to St. Nick's Market because I had seen the photos of Ahh Toots' cakes online and wanted to try them, but they didn't have any seating nearby so we decided to sit down in Royce Rolls with a cake and coffee instead. I believe the seats by Royce Rolls are available for anyone eating at St. Nicks but it felt more natural to get a coffee there and sit down. We were there a little after 'proper' lunchtime (around 2-3pm) so most of the savoury food had sold out. This was fine because we were after cake, but it made the display look a bit empty. I picked a caramel shortbread while my friends had a flapjack and some tiffin, and then we ordered two coffees and a San Pellegrino and took a seat. The coffee was nice enough, although they had sold out of decaf, and the cake was fine too, although not the best I've ever had. I think based on my actual experience I have to give Royce Rolls a 3, but I think if I had gone at a different time or for a different reason I would have awarded it higher. When I have walked past previously (earlier in the day) the displays have had loads of food that has looked really enticing. I would try Royce Rolls again but either to sit in and try some of their lunch options, or get a coffee and cake to-go on a busy day. On this occasion it just didn't work for what I wanted on the specific day, but it hasn't put me off overall.

On a cold wet day in January I was looking for something healthy and tasty to eat around 2pm. I wandered into St Nick's market and found Royce Rolls. My quiche was heated up for me and it was simply divine - a simple recipe - and delicious. Coleslaw was yummy with raisins and beetroot. I didn't have cash and my debit card was accepted. You can eat in, you might share a table with others. It's through fare so keep your coat on. So many lovely food items to eat in or to take away and it won't break the bank. Service is superb.

Great location for a cafe, tucked away as it is in the heart of St Nicks' market. There's always an interesting buzz of activity going on to make it an ideal place to kick back with a coffee and a few minutes to rest your feet and watch the world go by. Friendly service, great snacks and bevvies. The wholegrain toasties are a particularly satisfying snack.

I stopped here whilst visiting St Nicholas market recently and was pleasantly surprised. There is great choice of vegetarian and vegan food and it is really competitively priced. I enjoyed a thick, home made leek and potato soup which was a filling portion and came with bread all for £3.10 - a total bargain. The other food they were serving looked equally as tasty so I shall return. It is good to support independent traders who are providing great, healthy food at fair prices!

There are many veggie/vegan, locally/ethically-sourced eateries in Bristol. Can't imagine such an eatery anywhere else - RR epitomises Bristol, and somehow manages to be welcoming, unpretentious and offer healthy(ier) food at amazingly low prices. I'm not the greatest tea fan, but their organic blend is always strong and flavoursome. It always takes me ages to decide what delicious cake/brownie to have. RR certainly shows that cheap doesn't have to be dodgy, rubbish food.

This was a unplanned stop for coffee from visitors to Bristol. I am very fussy in regards to coffee, so always try to source a coffee which is robust in flavour, together with a good selection of interesting food on offer. The coffee was excellent and the cakes equally attractive and delicious. The carrot cake was heavenly, with a generous amount of icing. The vegetarian & vegan menu looked enticing, so returned for lunch, and we were not disappointed by our choices. The food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Best of all the meal was value for money and I would not hesitate to return to this establishment on a regular basis. Sadly I live in Shetland so this is not possible, however if I am in Bristol again I will definitely choose this cafe to have a mid morning coffee or a meal. Finally the staff were cheerful and welcoming, so have no hesitation in recommending this delightful eaterie.
