Another amazing take-away from the Royal Spice! Speedy service and delicious food. Fit for a royal :)

We have used Royal Spice before and the food has been good. We don't order breads from here as they are usually not great. Last night the food was terrible. We ordered three different dishes and a chana masala side and they were all bright red. The Jalfrezi tasted of Raw spices and chilli powder and the red colour was off putting, it was pretty much inedible. It's been a while since we've had a takeaway from there so thought we'd chance a naan. The naan bread tasted raw. We ordered a saag paneer which tasted ok. The prices are reasonable here and it cost £30 for 3 of us. We won't be ordering from there again.

Very welcoming staff taking time to explain the menu and propose us the right meal. Tastes and quantities are good. And price is reasonable. Good Indian address.

Thought we would try this place for a change. Menu said we could pay by card. Our mistake, old menu! Meal arrived In good time. Not bad but you get lots more meat at Sydenham Balti!! Naan bread was like cardboard and Bahjis were very dry. Won’t be bothering again!!!

Got overcharged for delivery and then the curry tasted bland. Bright red in colour, no spice and the Naan was undercooked. Avoid at all costs!

Food was actually okay. Shame about the service. Most horrendous service I've ever received. Vile man that works there! Our food took nearly 2 hours!! We ordered at 5 to 7 to be told it'd be about 45 minutes, and they turned up at about 20 to 9!!!! Now, I live on a new build estate so had tried to explain this, giving detailed explanations of which roads to come off etc. Guy on phone said "yeah yeah I know where that is". Turns out he didn't have a foggy as had written it down completely wrong for the poor delivery driver! Anyway, after nearly 2 hours there was absolutely no way we were paying full price. Food was supposed to be £28 so said would give them £20 (pretty bloody fair I think!) delivery driver had to "check with his boss" who said he'd take no lower than £25....£3 off, I don't think so. So I myself spoke to him on the phone and he was absolutely vile. He said the only way he will except £20 off me is if I promise to never order from there again. Believe me, mate..I won't be! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Go to castle balti in Warwick - much nicer!!

Absolutely superb meal. Chicken tikka pathia tasted just beautiful, rice nice, keema nan actually had meat in it unlike Other places, peshwari nan could have done with more coconut oil on it, mixed tikka lovely but you know what overall an absolutely superb meal and very happy and will go back

Amazing food . Great delivery time. Highly recommended. Try the chilli Masala loved every mouthful. Having tried other places in leamington. For my kind of curry , my search has ended. Will only use Royal Spice for my take away from now on

Always a lovely meal from Royal Spice. This time we tried the 4 popadoms with a tray of chutneys as a starter - really good! The chicken biryani's were also excellent, but be warned, massive portions! We have also eaten in at the Royal Spice and have always had excellent service and great food.

Meal was almost faultless (ordered garlic naan bread bit hardly any garlic), first time ordering here and would definitely consider ordering again. Delivery was 20minutes early bonus!

Nice food. Only complaint is that they ignored the additional instructions for the driver that I left when I paid

Yummy curry, great service. Only thing I'd improve on is more honey in the peshwari naan as they can sometimes be on the drier side. But made up for as everything else spot on.

Regularly order take aways from here. Consistently good food. Quick delivery and reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to order from here.

we been meaning to try the royal spice for a while after friends had said food was lovely thought we would give it a go . Unfortunately this was a mistake .........my partner is a chef so was pretty disgusted that all 3 curry's we ordered (different ones ) tasted the same and were missing important ingredients. My son chicken tikka was dry as were the narns . The chips were watery and not cooked through fully , the special fried rice was okish ..........the biryarni was the only thing that was actually fine safe to say ..........thats a local takeway we will be avoiding from now on .

Tasted fine but some issues... the madras had plain chicken in it rather than the chicken tikka ordered, the naan bread was plain rather than garlic (also parts of the clay oven was stuck to the bottom of the naan so it was like crunching sand...) and our plates were full of water - we weren't sure if that came from the rice or the curry.

Having tried a number of local 'indians' we happened on this restaurant as we drove past. As an export from Birmingham and the balti triangle I can honestly say this is the closest we have found in the area. The food was excellent and good portions and the oportunity for a draught Cobra while waiting is always welcome.

The food was of good quality, but it took over an hour for this to be delivered on a Sunday night at 6pm!

Having visited this restaurant on several occasions, and had several take-aways from here over recent weeks, last night we once again made the effort to go out and make a night of it. Total bill for 4 of us was just £59 including 4 mains, rice, naans and drinks all round. The food was excellent and the service, as always, attentive and efficient. We can recommend the take-away service as well, with prompt delivery and food nicely presented.

Thought we would give this a try as we have been looking for a good local Indian take away. Phoned and placed my order at 5.00pm - told me the order would be 45mins (great no problem). Arrived at 5.45pm to collect. Restaurant empty (but it was early) - phone not ringing and no one else waiting, and waited for the food and waited and waited. 6.20pm it came out of the kitchen. Still no problem as by now was completely ready to get it home and get stuck in.So far so good (late but mission accomplished).Now referring back to the restaurant being empty, the phone not ringing and no one else waiting indicated to me that the kitchen was not under pressure.Got home, opened up the package and they got the order completely wrong. Not even close to the dish I ordered PLUS where was my starter?Tsk I muttered and checked my receipt - ah at least I had not been charged for my starter.By now I ravenous enough to eat my left arm so I decided to proceed and tuck in to what ever it was I had in my dish (at least it was still a chicken dish).That was mistake number 3 {mistake number 1 was ringing up in the first place ----- mistake number 2 was not taking it back} the food was bland poorly seasoned minimal proportions and general lack luster (plus I really missed my chicken tikka starter.Won't be going back any time soon!

Just help move my son and his fiancee into their new home. The local paper was stuck in the letter box. I had a read and found an advert for this Indian take away. Not being from the area we decided to give it a try. We ordered a selection of meals and sides. OMG! it was delicious. All of it. The dips, sauces and meals. The meat in the meals was juicy and tasty.Delivered at the time they said.I live in Lancashire. My son and partner were moving from Middlesex.We have all eaten Indian take away meals at various parts of the country over the years.We all agreed this was by a country mile the best one we have ever had.

More variety with the kebabs, the option of salad and a selecton of sauses

I have had several take aways from here now, all have been very good. The prices are surprising too, but not reflected in the quality or quantity. The restaurant has always had customers when- I have picked up the curries, but it has never been busy. The take away business always seems brisk. This is now our curry take away - two mains, naan bread, and a side dish for less than fish and chips for two - fantastic. The restaurant is spacious and maybe could do with a style change, but I can remember this as the function room at the Bulldog, and it was dark and dingy in those days - now at least it is light, bright and airy.

Wow, really good, hot ,tasty and good portions and value.we have eaten in most local restaurants and was not disappointed with this meal, will definitely book a table and try the sit down meal this could be a great new find. We have had some disappointing meals lately, from a number of local Indian take-aways and restaurants. In fact Sainsbury's offerings have been vastly superior! But now there is a new kid on the block - Royal Spice! Having been recommended by my daughter and son-in-law, I wondered if Royal Spice could really be as good as they were telling me. Last night, any doubts were dispensed with. Ordered via 'Just-Eat' the meal arrived in about 40 minutes and was very nicely presented. The Chicken Biryani was beautifully cooked with a lovely vegetable curry to pour over it. My daughter had a Chicken Madras with Pilau rice, this too was exceptionally good and all portions were very generous. Three meals, with naan bread came to just £20, including the £1 delivery charge. I am sure this will become our first choice for future Indian take-aways. Mind you, next time we might push the boat out and book a table!

Really great tasting food but disappointing that it arrived cold? Would think again about ordering because of this.

It was delivered in a black plastic bag. The fried items were in brown paper bags which were so soggy they fell apart so everything was loose in a black plastic bag. Chips weren't fully cooked. Not a great meal.

Very impressed, haven't reviewed anything in a long time but want to say to give them a try. Tastes like home made, will be back.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived and remained so most of the time we were there until another couple arrived much later. However, there was a constant stream of people coming in for takeaways, including some Indian people, which was a good sign. When our food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was given that the prices were quite cheap. Quality, flavour and portion were all good. Service was fine too. We will definitely come again and will recommend it to others.

I had a take away from here and it was by far the cheapest Indian restaurant I have ever been to. For example Onion Bhajis are £1.50, boiled rice £1.40, plain naan £1.00 !! The food was good as well and the people were very friendly. Will definitely use again.

We've tried a few takeaways in Leamington and this is the best we've had. Price is really good and consistently good food not had a bad one yet. Not long opened and as other reviews have stated, the restaurant isn't very busy and food is very cheap so don't let that put you off it really is good food and staff are very friendly. Really recommend.

After receiving a menu through the door i was abit unsure whether to give it a try because the price's are so cheap but we thought sod it. We ordered a takeaway and when i went to collect it the restaurant was empty and that was abit off putting but it was early (6.45) and the place had only been open for about a week. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and welcoming, the food was very nice although a little bit greasy but you expect that with a traditional curry, the only complaint was that unlike most Indian takeaways we did not receive some free poppadoms and when I asked for a couple he charged me for them and they were awful, they were not fresh because he opened a little cupboard being the counter and it was full of poppadoms and they tasted like they have been there all week or they have been cooked in very old oil but apart from the poppadoms it was very nice. The food was lovely and the price is excellent, don't be put off by the very cheap menu!
