Amazing service and such fun doing the quiz on a Wednesday night. Fantastic atmosphere and dinner was very tasty. We will definitely be back.

We come here a few times as not too far away. Lovely old pub, pub feel. Lovely food and very reasonable prices on both food and drink. Staff are always lovely. Dog friendly. They went above and beyond today and have my daughter a lovely dessert with Happy Birthday written on and sang to her. Meant a lot. It’s the small touches that make a place good. Highly recommend.

Laura and her team were amazing on sunday and the roast dinner was unreal! The team couldn't have done anymore for us and it was a great time.

The Royal Oak is by far our favourite. Wonderful food, warm, friendly, welcome by amazing staff. Quintessentially British pub.

We visited The Royal Oak for their quiz night on a Wednesday evening as we do regularly. Although the quiz is fun, the pub really needs to sort itself out. In recent weeks the ice machine has broken down, drinks are served in glasses that are warm from the washer, alcohol free lagers are in short supply along with crisps too. Yesterday evening, drink were being served in plastic glasses because the washer had broken down! I ordered a glass of wine and on going to the bar to order a second was told there was no more available of that type. Really? If you want to fill your pub with happy customers then some continuity of service/goods is required.

Excellent quiz at the Royal Oak on Wednesday evenings. Kaileigh, the quiz organiser is fun and first class. I am regular pub quizzer and Kaileigh’s is up there with the best. Together with good quality food and great service, the Royal Oak is a fab night out.

Simply beautiful would recommend service is simply Devine and the food is beyond amazing come here for work meetings or a classic catch up with friends to highlight my wonderful experience a specific server by the name of Laura was exceeded her job role left a generous tip and would come again every week

Staff were friendly, good prices for food especially the mac and cheese!! A nice cozy pub, would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Had a superb roast dinner last Sunday. We went around 6 30pm and were really pleased with the quality of the food especially after a busy afternoon. Really glad the consistency was there for us. The service by Lexi,Mia and Halli was top notch and Dale the manager makes the pub a warm and welcoming place to dine. Thank you

As a group, for the last 18 months the 6 of us, choose a different venue each month, to have a meal and let our hair down. I have to say that so far the Royal Oak is the best one yet. Last night we had an absolutely brilliant evening. The staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The food was wonderful. As you can imagine we have quite a variety of tastes at the table. I personally highly recommend the calamari starter, but the garlic mushrooms also looked amazing. I then had the steak & ale pie for main, but, also on the table we had sirloin steak, salmon, gammon and lamb shanks, everyone enjoyed their selection, absolutely perfectly presented and prepared. There was so much choice for dessert, but I just couldn’t resist the mini Eton mess and of course we all had to have an Irish coffee to finish the evening. We were all pleasantly surprised when the bill came. Thank you so much (I’m warning you now, we will be back 😉)

Brought two friends from Wales here for lunch on 11th January. My friends had the salmon and the beef and ale pie which they said was very nice. Myself and my wife had hunter’s chicken and chicken in a basket, both the hunters chicken and the chicken in a basket were the worst meals we had ever had. The chicken was so dried up it was like eating a bit of cardboard I have had hunter’s chicken from other outlets which are cheaper and the chicken was moist and succulent. I only came here on the reviews, will not be coming again.
