We had a great time Saturday, the music was great, good variety and not too loud. The outside area is great for a refresh overlooking the canal and lock too. Reasonable priced drinks always a bonus.

Omg Drug taking galore over crowding no control and will never visit again , lovely town but let down by this disgraceful place. Full of kids with attitude no care. AVOID

02/02/2019. The DJ was very rude and offensive and played rubbish tunes all night. Will not be returning to this dump.

For the second time two members of our family were refused admission . We were out for a lovely family evening and called for a few drinks but a male and female in our group were refused admission..We were given no reason but suspect it was because of their colour . Some of our group walked out in disgust We will never go again it's disgusting the way they were treated.

Good value food and friendly staff. Gets busy at weekends and night times. good for a quick lunch during the week.

Staff very rude as are the so called door men( bouncers) saw one trying to sell drugs to customers also fighting going on inside the beer was flat and warm (Lager) when I complained I was told so what as they couldn't care less. The place is a death trap.

I visited this venue with friends and when left to call them, I was told the venue was full. When this was challenged the bouncers became aggressive unnecessarily and tried to provoke a fight. They would not offer a full reason why I could not go back into the club.

Probably the stickyest and dirtiest hell hole I've ever been to. Also the bouncers are the rudest people I've ever encounted. Really great people to welcome you to such a "fine" establishment

Travelling on the canal. Stopped in here for lunch. Good service. Good food. Good beer. Kind of a sports bar atmosphere. Lots of t.v.s which was okay with us.

If your into your sports and love a night out head down to roxy. Nice big screen to watch the football rugby etc and a great selection of alcoholic drinks to get you hammered!! I certainly recommend this place and I will definitely be going again!

The problem is and has been since it opened. The owners sons. One is the DJ the other the bar manager. Music is OK. But don't ask for anything. Bar prices depend on who serves you

Came with family at the weekend. Mistake! Stuck to the floor as soon as we walked in, drink prices changed twice, drastically!! And for the same round of drinks. When questioned the bar staff on this they were downright rude and ignorant and couldn't give a reason for it. Rubbish wine, Rubbish beer, atmosphere and decor is just drab and miserable. Would never go again.

As it was Rushbearing we thought we'd call in to support a local business. What we found was disgusting. Bar staff very ignorant. Drink prices fluctuated at both round of drinks. 8 people can't be wrong! It was a tacky mess. If your face fits your OK! We will never go again there are lots of nicer bars and friendlier staff. Can't let 1 crap hole spoil Sowerby Bridge! 😠

Place is disgusting. Bar staff and bouncers are awful. Drinks were watered down. Place is dangerous. Avoid at all costs!

The floors are sticky, the tables are sticky, there is a horrible smell as soon as you walk in. I ordered an Archers and Lemonade and could only taste Lemonade! Will not be going back in lots of other nice pubs to go in in Sowerby bridge

I really wouldn't bother, Sowerby bridge has lots of other beautiful little bars to visit rather than this one! You wait ages at the bar to take your drink and have it knocked over by some prat. Fights kick off in every direction. Staff are arrogant and nasty. I'd go to the blind pig which is open late too!

visited this place once and will never visit again. Was on a night out with work and thought we would pop in for a drink. I have never entered a place as grubby in all my life. Needs a makeover as is a bit rough.

is an ok place for eat and drink...never had any trouble but i never been there on saturday or sunday .I don't about fights or weird DJ,the owner is a lovely guy and bar staff are polite. Dodgy people are everywhere so is up to you to keep yourself to yourself,never had problem with security guard ask me to leave or been rude with me.Food always nice and enormous portion,good value for money.

First time visited. Grubby horrible place with arrogance dj, if that is what you can call him. Not interested in requests. Tells you he owns the place. Like that makes up for him just playing his own songs and being rude and arrogant. Hated the place and the music. Do not waste your time or money!

Went on a night out here and the dj only played what he liked and the same song a number of times through the night. Fights broke out. Full of youngsters who drink far too much and become idiots. Going to upset people here, but it needs shutting down. It brings down the look of the town when people walk out with bust noses and falling over drunk. horrendous!!!!

This particular establishment has the rare ability to leave you with a feeling of shame when you eventually arise from your slumber following an evening there.For those who have never had the pleasure it can only be described as; a cross between Mad Max and the Thunderdrome and Phoenix nights.The prices are extortionate, the owners have no quarrel with stealing from their customers and there are more assaults here or outside than your standard Class A prison yard. All in all, a colossal hell hole.

Cheap and good food would recommend not been in on a weekend so can't comment on the nightlife side of Rory's but the food is pretty good

This is our second visit for breakfast and again it was really good. My only complaint is that it had changed quite a bit from the first time we went. There was no black pudding, no spam, no mushrooms and the tomatoes were fresh not tinned. It was still good cake but it was better on first visit

the licence is the most obnoxious rude person you could meet. It's cheep and you can tell by the food and drink every thing is deep fried service terrible it's closed in and claustrophobic. Avoid this place

The prices are great. The Music ok but it's a bit sticky floor. On a night out i'd go but not for just a drink.

We didn't actually eat here however on an evening it turns into a night club. Me and friend went to have a Good dance and a few drinks.....I was shocked at the price of the drinks to start with! About 30 minutes after arriving a bouncer came over and asked us to leave. When we asked why we had to leave (as we had done nothing wrong) nobody would explain. I asked to speak to the manager who was conveniently busy. I rang the venue the day after and left my details and explained why I had called, and still the manager will not speak to me. So to sum up this venue quite clearly they do not like new custom and it certainly is not a welcoming place to go on a Saturday night.
