Came in for lunch today, great service from Jamie and the team

I had a wonderful meal in The Rosewood last weekend the three children had a great choice and the grownups had the Sunday lunch it was excellent, staff went out of their way to accommodate us all thank you

Jamie and Sam were amazing. Very attentive and good was excellent standard as usual.

So our first visit here. We moved to the area a few months ago and fancied a meal out. It was mix it up night a very good deal. Sadly and not the fault of the Rosewood the Steak for my wife was not the best and was very gristly. Jamie came over and said he could have replaced it but my wife chose not. Instead Jamie gave us both desert to take home on the house as an apology. First impressions of the Rosewood is that they really care about their customers and service is second to none. Just a pity it was an off night for the steak. We will be back to try some of the other delights that you offer.

Quick visit for 2 of us. Friendly greeting at the bar and plenty of tables. Ordered BOGOF Burgers (Friday deal) on the app which was very straightforward. The food turned up within 10 minutes and was well worth the money. Sam brought our food and came back shortly after to check all was OK 👍 Very polite and friendly. Overall a great visit we'll done team

My elderly mother, my son and three cousins had the immense pleasure of having their Xmas day lunch at The Rosewood. They were all extremely impressed by the way they were treated, the food and surroundings. My mother had gone on to tell everyone in ear shot how awesome it was and on Boxing Day decided she wanted to return for 2025 Xmas Day. Sandi and the team are one in a million and go over and above on every visit. Myself and other where I work ( in a supported living environment) also use The Rosewood on a regular basis. They accommodate us sometimes at short notice and always ensure our guys needs are met. I can’t think of anywhere I would rather take our guys. The Rosewood Team are all amazing

Consistent good honest food with great service.

Visited a few times… Customers cleaning their own tables, lasagne frozen in the middle, scoffed at for asking for less ice in my pitcher, and staff insulting customers, manager gave us a free drink each which was nice and appreciate him taking responsibility, but I doubt any disciplinary action or coaching will be taken on the bar staff that clearly need it

It is very easy to book a table online, friendly greeting, very quick turnaround on our meals and the foods was delicious.

Not my sort of place as INCREDIBLY family orientated but if you have kids this is a brilliant place to go

Let’s say Rosewood won’t be getting any Michelin stars any time this century. Bland food - I could guarantee it was cooked full blast in the microwave for 4 minutes. Staff appeared over worked and under paid. Overall for the price of drinks and food, you get what you pay for.

Went out for a Christmas family meal this evening, it was very busy but we got accommodated quickly by manager Jamie. Jamie was serving us all night and was absolutely fantastic, came down to sit with our family and interacted with us all… would not fault and will be returning. Good food, good vibes.

Our Family of four visited Rosewood on the weekend of Storm Darragh. Having dealt with a power cut at home for 24 hours we just wanted to get out and didn’t really care where we went. We were cheeky and took some bits with us to charge to get us through another night without power, including a camping lantern. The team at the Rosewood may have sensed that we had just had a bit of a weekend of it, but they were just fantastic throughout. Jamie in particular just gave us all that little lift that we needed and made sure our meal experience went perfectly. The food was good, very reasonably priced and all very quick, but it was the team that really made it for us. They tended to our little people, and checked we had all we wanted and more. It certainly changed our perception of the Rosewood. Thank you Jamie and colleagues, you made our bleak weekend much brighter. Got home and the power was even on!!!

The Rosewood is our safe-space so it’s hugely appreciated! We are autistic and find it difficult going out at all, but this is one place we can go and enjoy regularly without problem. It’s predictable and reliable! The food always comes out quickly and with no issues. I can’t possibly count how many times we’ve visited over the years but have never had a meal come out wrong or bad. This time, one meal had gone through differently than expected but it turned out it was a mistake on my part (due to the way the search function presents results on the app, which is confusing but nothing to do with The Rosewood itself). The lovely manager Jamie picked up on the issue before the meal even came out, when he came to ask us about a preference. I was confused but despite it being my mistake he kindly rectified it anyway and avoided my daughter having a shutdown. It’s always easy to be seated despite there sometimes being lots of bookings. The staff are accommodating when it’s busy and clearly communicate how long they can free up a table for, before a later reservation is due in. It’s really helpful to be able to order and pay on the app, especially for those with medical conditions preventing them from standing or communicating at the bar. Staff are efficient and pleasant but at the same time they give you space, so you don’t feel pressured or overwhelmed like in some other restaurants. It’s easygoing but professionally done. You have to remember it’s a chain run, family friendly pub/restaurant so there will occasionally be loud tables and kids shouting and running around, but don’t let it put you off as it really doesn’t happen that often outside of holiday seasons. We just can’t really complain when it does as it’s to be expected! Thank you to Jamie and all the staff. I think their success is reflected in how popular it can be on weekday evenings, compared to in the past. See you soon!

Lovely time at the hungry horse, gave me extra ice cream and chocolate sauce with my pudding as they didn’t initially have what I asked for as my main. Lovely service, come here all the time and will continue to do so.

Forgot to mention this earlier in the year but wanted to say a big well done to how well the carnival event was run! Smooth and professionalism from the outside bar team! Food served hot and quick and my pink gin and lemonade was perfect! Hats off to the team!

Ok, firstly I would like to say how much it saddens me to be writing this review, we've been long term customers of the rosewood and have always had excellent experiences. However we decided to try the Xmas meal, And would have to say that apart from it being a Xmas meal, it's probably one of the worst roast meals that myself and my wife have eaten, not the cheapest you can get. When the meal arrived, it was a good portion, but straight away you could see from its appearance that it looked quite dry, lots of vegetables, the turkey was obviously a processed meat as apposed to being carved from a turkey. The meal was completely dry apart from a very small amount of lumpy congealed gravy,, no more than a spoonful, on the so say turkey. The meal was barely warm, we asked for editional gravy, which was happily supplied, still not happy they took both meals away to reheat, on return, there was an additional gravy pot on both plates, I personally turned the gravy pot upside down and the gravy stayed in the pot, this was probably the worst roast dinner I've had, and being the beginning of the festive season, doesn't look good, especially if it's the bench mark for there Xmas day meal, having said this, the staff, and particularly the stand in manageress couldn't have been more attentive, with offering us complimentary drinks and desserts, which we declined. And no doubt fearing a bad review coming, refunded our money, without question, as in her opinion must have warranted a refund, this left us in a very difficult position about giving negative reviews, but felt it our responsibility to advise others of our experience. So sorry for having to write such a poor review, as have always been very satisfied overall.

I have visited this place before and the team at rosewood are absolutely amazing. Special recommendation to Jamie who showed special care as i came down with my wife and the little one. We had fish and chips and like everytime it was spot on. You would not be disappointed. The only downside is that we have to check if they have any fish in stock as they run out very quickly and in previous we had to return empty stomached as their isnt many other we cannot have.
