This is a beautiful country pub that I visited for a lovely carvery on Sunday. Everything was done to perfection. The meat was particularly delicious. There was a well equipped bar with plenty of choice! All of the staff were friendly and helpful they couldn’t have been more welcoming. I would definitely recommend this pub be it for a drink or food. I think pubs like this deserve to be supported as they are real assets to their communities.

Since Cara & her team opened the doors of this lovely village pub, we have frequented many times, most recently being last night. We have always received a warm welcome, not forgetting Toula & Charlie who like to greet you with a woof or two. The majority of our visits have been to enjoy one of the many delicious meals on offer from the menu. We have never once been disappointed & I’m not easily pleased.

We met family for Sunday lunch. Sadly this was not a great experience. We had booked for the carvery but when we went to get our meal we were only allowed one thin slice of meat as we were told they were running out! A choice of beef or gammon. I think the Yorkshire puddings were Aunt Bessie’s and the vegetables were not great, and gravy very thin. We ordered desserts but when they came they were still frozen, even the ‘warm’ Apple cake ! On the plus side the staff did recognise the sub standard food and the price was reduced considerably and we had sent the dessert's back so we’re not charged for those. I hope they can make a go of it, but standards will have to be raised considerably.

I had the game pie which was melt in the mouth delicious. Such a treat to learn that everything except ice creams is made on the premises. Puddings were just as good. Hidden away just off the busy A39 between Bridgwater and Glastonbury, this is the perfect country pub. Comfortably yet utterly traditional, there are several areas arranged around a central bar, with an attractive garden to the rear. Just two ales on offer, but they are well chosen, varying and mainly from smaller West Country brewers; I enjoyed a pint of locally brewed Fine Tuned Langport Bitter. An excellent, reasonably priced menu featuring all the pub classics you would expect plus some more interesting dishes is supplemented further by a great specials board. It was from the specials board that I selected an excellent dish of braised kidneys - it's great to see a pub that champions offal, All main meals come with a choice of potatoes and a good selection of fresh vegetables. They also host a monthly folk session, first Saturday of the month.

Excellent food and lovely building! We came here as part of a trip to Cheddar for my partners 40th, glad I trusted the reviews and chose The Bath Arms. I had the mushroom and celeriac strudel which was delicious and different from the usual veggie options you see elsewhere. My partner had the steak pie, which he said was very good and filled up with meat. The chips he had also looked incredible! All in all, a very nice birthday meal!

Avoid at all costs. Been here a few times before & was excellent. Obviously has new tennants who havent got a clue how to run a pub. Friday night was fish night and yet they only had white fish, which was grey and mushy & had a thick soggy batter. Was told it was cod, probably minnow given the size of the fish in the batter.Chips were soggy and were rubbery. This pub was dark, cold and empty on a friday night ,this should have rung alarm bells. Needless to say declined to pay the bill.,
