My husband and I have visited Rose Garden Tea Rooms a number of times and can't speak highly enough of it. Chris and Carole, the owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. We were allowed to have our four dogs in the garden with us, and Chris even brought them a dog treat each when arriving with our food. It made us feel even more Welcome to have our dogs warmly welcomed too. Food is beautiful with a very good choice. Excellent presentation and very fresh. Scones are served warm and taste delicious. I would highly recommend this tea room for a relaxing weekend treat. You will not receive better service or a warmer welcome with great food anywhere else. Keep up the good work Chris and carole.

Whether out for a weekend drive, cycle or walk once the thought of a cream tea enters your head it is difficult to dislodge it. So, imagine our delight when randomly driving the lanes of Kent we came across "Rose Garden Tea Rooms", a haven for thirsty travellers. We were greeted by the owners who went out of their way to make us welcome and served one of the best Cream Teas we have had. The tea comes with a strainer - no tea bags and the scones were light and flavoursome. We could also have indulged our taste for cakes as there were at least six freshly baked delicious varieties perched invitingly on their cake stands just waiting for their covers to be removed. I saw that they also cater for the lesser sweet tooth with herb scones and cheese - maybe next time. The rooms are delightful being decorated with local art, knick-knacks and curios. If you want an experience of friendlily, efficient and valued service visit - but take your appetite with you.

Nothing could be more charming than walking into a village tea room and be made welcome by the owners. My partner and I just moved to the village and have received numerous feedback from friends about the tea and cakes being offered at the Rose Garden Tea Rooms. Having settled in our new home, we decided to walk to the Rose Garden and was immediately made welcome by the owners, Chris and Carole. They made us feel very welcome and made us feel that we have lived in the village all our lives! Exquisite cakes made from local ingredients were hand made/baked by Carole. The tea was just as good - with a range of Oriental, English and speciality teas. Sandwiches and light snacks were also on offer - but with a wide range of cakes on offer, we decided to indulge! Paintings of local artists about village life and local wildlife are also on display, making the tea room even more quaint and cozy. This being a the Rose Garden Tea Rooms, there is a nice and well maintained garden at the back with private and secluded areas for couples or families wishing to enjoy the sun in this beautiful village. The Rose Garden Tea Rooms are only open during the weekends and bank holidays - making us hanker for the weekend even more!

We recently spent a few nights at the adjacent campsite and went to The Grapevine for breakfast one morning. It was an excellent breakfast - possibly a little pricey but you don’t mind when you get a generous and tasty meal. Cosy little cafe which was very much appreciated on a rainy, windy morning and it also doubled up as a shop with essential items for campers.

I'm a local and I have now had breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails at the village kitchen. Quality food and excellent service and it's always been friendly. I'm very pleased to have thus business in our village.

Visited a couple of times recently and numerous times in the 60s to collect Season Tickets! The coffee is excellent and should make an independent close by look to it's laurels and with the local butcher almost opposite showcasing their bacon and sausages in the Panini I had at The Waiting Room, it's a win-win for both businesses. As the toilet gets more than a mention in reviews, it's a shame that it's been allowed to get shabby as a lot of thought (and money?) obviously was behind it, some of the grouting cleverly referencing the East Kent Road Car Company livery: please give it the care it deserves? Nonetheless I wouldn't hesitate to return, or recommend, as the effort to transform this Arts and Crafts gem, at last, was worth the wait. (D'you see what I did there?)
