Old school pub, lovely inside. Beer was good, staff busy on their phones…..didn’t eat so can’t rate the food.

Lovely staff, great food and an amazing spot during the summer. Would be great if they had heaters for the winter as inside gets to busy.

Maria is absolutely brilliant! She’s always got a smile on her face and makes everyone feel welcome the moment they walk through the door. Great pub with plenty of outdoor space. The staffs are so friendly and the food was great I loved the loadedchips and Burger.

Good outdoor space, poor value for money food. The place has nice and plenty outdoor sitting and the inside is alright for a pub. However, I paid around £17 for a burger that was small and barely edible, very dry and hard to chew, also half the chips were not good. I wouldn't buy food in this place.

Great beer garden, didn't serve food on a Thursday evening.

Looked after me and a mix of friends/colleagues. The staff were amazing and friendly. The manager and assistant manager were eager to answer questions. The food is simple yet delicious, something one would expect from a london pub.

Update: "One of central London’s biggest beer gardens" has undergone renovation, and is now completely covered in plastic grass. Will not be going back. A sad day for what used to be a nice pub garden. This cheap and environmentally unfriendly fashion desperately needs to stop.

Good old fashioned boozer. The ales were a bit bland, but the service and atmosphere were great.

Pub itself was welcoming. Not busy considering it was a Friday evening. We ordered food - no pizza which was a surprise as nobody else was eating. Chicken burgers looked extremely well done and apparently the rolls were still part frozen. My beef burger turned up a short while later - bun was ok but the burger had been deep fried - tough around the edges and very dry throughout. Fish and chips were good apparently.

Lovely pub, staff is young but nice and friendly enough. Inside space is tiny, there are multiple floors I think but a very narrow building and extremely old and traditional (carpeted floors, etc). Garden area outside is so so nice, not very crowded when we arrived on a Friday night but can imagine it being otherwise! Food menu and beer tap are in line with pubs in the area as are the prices. The steak and ale pie was legit!! Came out covered in gravy yet somehow still perfectly crusty!

Perfectly nice, cozy, and intimate Shepard Neame pub in the back streets behind Southwark tube. Good selection of well kept beer, spirits, and snacks. Haven't tried the food here yet so can't comment on that yet. But for a good quality beer in a pub where you can hold a conversation, head here! (4 stars because I haven't tried the food yet)

A decent local pub. Nothing to shout about but nothing to say against it either. Not a lot of room inside, but generally good for a mid-week drink or two. Much busier in the summer.

Love this pub! Great spot for a beverage on both rainy and sunny days (large beer garden). The staff are fantastic.

Big chain but small pub atmosphere

Yet another little pub tucked away from the crowds. Easy to get to so I can't think of a reason this pub was so quiet when we were here mid afternoon. Beautiful place inside and out with a little beer garden outside. The staff were pleasantly cheerful and were happy to have a chat. The Guinness was excellent and the Spitfire ale was nice as well .

Shepherd-Neame beers. Not too crowded. Large outdoor area at the back.

Decent Shepherd Neame pub not far from Blackfriars Bridge. Only one cask beer on handpump when I visited. Loads of outdoor seating.

A cosy pub with a nice garden to sit out in (problem is that garden is nearby a bench that is populated with the local drunks and smackheads). Only negatives are we asked for a virgin cocktail, and was served an alcoholic one, we were made aware they were premixes and thus it could not have been done without the alcohol; but if you don't understand what someone is asking for, please confirm with them rather than nod. Because we mentioned it several times. Kamil made this error and the worst part is I speak Polish, I could have re-explained to him what we wanted. The kitchen also closed really early and we were unable to get food at 8pm, which is incredibly early for a pub on Friday. Don't know what the deal was with this! But we were effectively condemned to the McDonalds of shame later on as we had a few tourism bits to do with our french friend in the area after we went to the Crown.

Nothing special, in need of a good clean, but I like this pub. It's a good London boozer!

Friendly staff. Bit disappointed in beer choice, but that's just a personal preference. Beer garden is popular if that's your cup of tea. Didn't try the food but it looked alright.

The Rose and Crown appears to have survived from a different era. It stands alone as a testament to a bygone age. Good ale and pleasant staff make it well worth a visit

All the real ales off except Spitfire😩 Not what I would call a good pub.

A busy place and nice enough but 2 out of the 4 hand pumps were off. Good food though.

Its as close to a country boozer that you can get up the smoke, there are others also and they were happy to do me a tea all night long so thumbs up from me😊

Pasó otra noche y se metió a tomar una copa. Muy buen pub, no lleno como los demás, realmente como un pub de barrio. La gente era amable y acogedora atmósfera. Buen lugar para salir de la multitud con amigos.

Souhaitant passer une bonne soirée avec nos amis nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce pub kitsch présenter très bien, or nous avons eu un service assez peu sympathique et une qualité culinaire en dessous de nos attentes heureusement nous ne sommes pas arrêter à Londres très longtemps car nous n'aurions pas voulu profiter plus longtemps qu'une soirée de cet établissement.
