Very tasty grilled chicken - affordable! Located near the library in town - easy to spot for quick lunch. Quick service if in a hurry to get back work in the afternoon. Range of options to choose from the menu. Clean environment and friendly service as always.

Still the best halal grilled chicken place in Notts Been coming here for a decade. Perfectly grilled chicken every time. Recommend the Mexican sauce/marinade. Coleslaw is delicious too. Side should be included with whole chicken order. Should offer fresh naan/bread on menu. Friendly decent service. Pray area downstairs. Mens toilet needs to be cleaned more often though.

I never recieved my lamb burger and when I rang the resturant the man on the phone was rude and said "I put it into he bag and the driver properly had it." Used to go roosters every time i went town but never again.

Let's be honest everyone loves Roosters. I always go for the chicken strips or thighs and unlike NANDOS where the spice and flavour level are NON-EXISTENT, Roosters pulls no punches with the FLAVOUR and SPICE level. Chips are good. Value for money is pretty good for what u get. Overall more than deserving of 5 stars. Definitely skip Nando's and come here instead.

Our favourite chicken place in nottingham city centre! Very welcoming, always a nice atmosphere. Food always on point. We love the wings, the strips and the chicken pitta! Recommend the platters! All the family young and grown can always agree to eat here and enjoy it every time. Highly recommend.

Halal food in the heart of Nottingham centre! Delicious food (we ordered the platter of 12 Buffalo Wings with Lebanese sauce for £16ish & 4 tubs of Spicy Rice £2.50ish each), and was relatively quick to takeaway. Not that much people when we came (5PM), and staff service was good 👍 Will definitely come back to visit again!

Came for the first time with my son after hearing it’s the best in Nottingham. I was given cold chicken and microwaved rice which was crunchy. Very disappointing. See the picture how the food served,Would not recommend and won’t be back

I recently visited Roosters and I was very impressed with the food and service. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was incredibly juicy and flavorful🤤. The sides were also delicious, and I especially enjoyed the rice. The service was friendly and efficient👍. Overall, I had a great experience at Roosters. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good piri piri chicken meal.

The food was so delicious, I enjoyed it alot. They have variety of flavours and the chicken was so tasty and well seasoned. The menu is good and the prices as well. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They have a prayer room for muslims in the ground floor. May Allah bless them.

Looking for gluten free food in a hurry, this was the 4th or 5th place we tried , the server was extremely helpful,friendly and welcoming. Ordered a chicken strips platter, the food was tasty, the sides , mixed salad and chips, could have been a little bigger for the price, and there could have been a little less sauce. Extra points for gherkins in the salad😊 , minus points for serving on a slate😐.

Very nice, flavourful food. Their are plenty of options, and the speed and service is satisfactory.good value for money and decent portion sizes. No parking given that it is city centre based and the toilets are downstairs for any persons with access issues. Great alternative to Nandos which is only a few doors away, come here instead, you won't regret it.

Going here since it opened. Place has badly fell off. If you want food that is overpriced and causes acid reflux and other issues go and eat here.

Edit - dropped to 4 stars as their toilets are an absolute disgrace. Best place in town for chicken, far superior to Nandos. Usually go for the half chicken or double chicken burger with piri fries. I've been quite a lot over the past couple of years and I've never once had a bad meal. Staff are usually very friendly. It's also recently had a refurb and looks a lot nicer inside. Highly recommended.

Informed the server that I had an allergy to both egg and tomato. The server went through the allergy list and advised that the sauces had egg in them. Ordered a plain beef wrap to be safe. After taking a few bites, I realised the wrap contained mayonnaise which then followed with me being very ill. This mistake may seem simple but could have a lethal consequence.

Love the food, the atmosphere is a takeaway but with comfortable seating.

I love Roosters! The food is absolutely delicious and so flavorful. It is also really good quality. It is like classic fast food but much better, even down to the cutlery! I've been lots of times and the service is delightful. Everyone is really helpful! Highly recommended if you like Nandos but want something cheaper and even tastier.

Haven't been in here since lockdown and used to use it religiously. Returned today and glad to say despite inflation things are still acceptably priced with the restaurant looking cleaner/newer than ever. Friendly staff as always ....chicken is banging as always....perk of the week.

Good place in city centre for chicken and chips better than MARY LANDS and others,, piri piri chicken was fresh and well cooked, customer service is not good staff is rude and ignorant. Waiting time 40 minutes and most importantly hygiene everywhere rubbish on floor, tables are smiley and full of rubbish.one of staff member was coughing and sneezing in cooking area.

Used to be my favourite place to eat in the entire country. I live in Norfolk now and coming home to Nottingham, roosters is first place I visit. But last visit it's gone downhill. Chicken was so dry it was almost ineable, and they've swapped the fries. Just not the same anymore. RIP.

Once there, hygiene lacking, no soap. Clearly the ablution facilities are not maintained regularly. A little disappointing in these post-Covid days.

Hello guys, I went on today there and I had ordered a peri peri strips with fries. The food was good but I was very disappointed of the services because I had found hair in my fries I had complained to the staff they had ignored me first after they had give new fries and but not stripes and no one is come to take the surfing plate from the table. Never go on here staff are not worn any hair net and beard net. Some of them worn but not all. Its very disgusting.

The best halal restaurant I have been to in the UK.

Ordered the platter, so had a bit of everything - whole chicken, wings, strips with piri-piri chips and coleslaw. Meat was dry but flavours were there. Excellent fresh chips but average coleslaw. You can't ask for little packets of hot sauce anymore, have to pay for it now. Only allowed ketchup and mayonnaise. Used to visit regularly when they just opened, went back there for old times' sake. The cheaper Nando's option without free flow sauce

Very impressed with the service and food.The table and seats were sprayed and cleaned down before we sat down. We had 7 people in our group, all with different orders, 1 strict vegetarian, all arrived at the same time, great presentation and all tasted delicious.Staff were friendly and professional and happy to make sure we felt comfortable.

I would like express my opinion regarding your eatables which was rather unsatisfactory. The charcoal tray was the only decent part of the whole restaurant. Sauce was dribbling onto my lap and stained an item of cloth that originated from Gucci. This was quite frankly, an upsetting experience for me and my intestines! The container of rice was admitingly shocking! I feel like I was back at my mothers.

Been there a few times over the last couple of years and really love their food; great Halal eatery for lunches. The staff behind the counter and friendly but one of the waitresses walks around like a bulldog

We had today the most amazing succulent lemon and herb chicken!It was our first time to eat in this restaurant and definitely won’t be the last , the chicken tasted better than Nando’s , their staff very polite and friendly and it’s good value for your money. The only one downside is you have to eat with plastic cutlery.

On 18-08-2021, i came and asked for quarter grilled chicken which is on the grill menue. and i were very busy and my time is limited. The cashier said that they sell just a complete grill chicken and it costs 10 £. So i said no, thank you and wanted to leave as i want just the size i asked for. Once i reached the door to leave quickly to go instead to KFC as i have a limited time.. the cashier started to laugh then said "come back...come back..i'm joking"....oh my days..how rude was that...you're not just rudely serve your customers, but wasting their time too....bad customer service...i used to be your customer....and i visited your restaurant several times, also used to order online... but not anymore.

Food is good but ,certain things are expensive, and they use to have bottles of coke ,but seems like they intentionally removed ,as bottles are better for groups a d families ,But to sell their cans and make more money they simply stoped selling bottles, A dirty trick ,I assume

Placed a £30 order of 2 chicken platters this evening and unfortunately the chicken was RAW!

Have been ordering from here very consistently over the last 12 months. The last 2 orders during the last 3 weeks have been awful - all variations of chicken. Reading other recent reviews is very concerning….. there is a suggestion of poor hygiene and food poisoning.

Didn’t take a photo of anything else other than the halloumi but it was the best halloumi I’ve had. The chicken was lovely! The wedges had so much flavour, they were crispy and delicious. All the food came piping hot and it was a fast delivery too. Perfect comfort food 🥘

I would give zero if it was possible. The food is disgusting. It was literally uncooked, so I had to put it in the oven for 30 mins and it still tasted horrible. The coleslaw was old and smelled of rotten egg. It's one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

The restaurant is a pigsty, the toilets are worse and the food itself is deeply unpleasant. The marinade tastes like spicy bile, the chicken was served lukewarm on a piece of “slate” with plastic cutlery. Oh dear.
