Roosters Piri Piri in Southampton

Salió de la calle después de ver la publicidad de Peri Peri. Este es un pequeño restaurante encantador en el centro de Southampton. Una buena gama en el menú y muy bien valorado. NOTA: Sin licencia, sólo bebidas frías. No hay problema para mí. La comida estaba bien cocinada y venía bien presentada y caliente. ¡Muy sabroso! Personal encantador y aseo extra limpio! ¿Regresaría? Sí, lo haría.

The food is always good but the customer service and delivery is always abysmal. Such a shame. Delivery is usually about an hour late so keep this is mind if you're ordering takeaway.

Haven't been here for a while, so I thought I would give it another go. Again this little gem satisfied my hunger craving. As you walk in you get a good feeling as it is clean and welcoming. Tonight I went for the lamb patty wrap, peri peri chips, coleslaw and a drink. The lamb patty was a tasty delight, it had a bit of spice and heat to it but not too overpowering and it was a delicious wrap. I had the peri peri spice with mine but you can choose your own flavouring to go with the patty. The chips were cooked well with a sprinkling of peri peri shake, again well seasoned. If you tag yourself into the place you can receive free rice, chicken wings or chicken strips. I went for the buffalo chicken strips and they were again a taste sensation. The staff were friendly and welcoming which is always a good sign 👍 If you are ever at the bottom of the high street and are peckish then this is the place to go .. recommended

Looking for a quick early evening meal in Southampton I saw this place looking fairly quiet and thought a burger might fit the bill. My order was taken at the counter and I was told to take a seat and my meal would be brought to me. I selected a canned drink and sat down. It didn't seem particularly busy apart from a number of deliveries being collected by couriers. The burger took about half an hour to arrive, by which time I had finished my drink, and was delivered by a woman in a disposable plastic apron who looked more like the cleaner. Burger was quite tasty and fries too but nothing special. Nothing really bad about it but surely a burger shouldn't take that long and service pretty underwhelming.

My husband and I stopped in here impulsively while walking around Southampton. We had never had peri peri chicken before, and we both loved the flavor. The young man who served us was helpful and charming. The food was delivered quickly. I was particularly pleased that as a diabetic, I could easily choose items that met my dietary requirements.

Very nice! Well cooked spicy chicken. I would happily return to this friendly place. Big servings and friendly personel.

Brilliant food, we ordered in store to takeaway, food was hot, and flavourful. Portion size was good. Not far from the hotel we was staying at rooms2.

Having eaten at most takeaways in Southampton. I would say this is one of the best take aways in Southampton as the food is freshly marinated and the service and price it great. Cannot get any better,

Made an order which took over 2 and a half hours. When contacting the store, i got told it was 5 minutes away, half an hour later they claimed they don’t care where it is, and hung up the phone, blocking my number. Appalled by the customer service and the food turned up cold, soggy and inedible. Unbelievable how they think they can speak to customers in such an aggressive manor!

Ordered in for a Saturday evening to give the kids a treat. We hadn't visited pre-lockdown, but the reviews were positive so we thought we'd try it. They were right - very tasty burgers and wraps! Really impressed and will definitely order in again; hopefully visit in person once we can, as well!

Absolutely amazing , me and my faminky really enjoyed our meal , even in quarantine roosters are still top of their game :)

I thought that I had already reviewed this, nice place ear in or takeaway also able to order and tell them what time you want to collect prices good, I will be back.

My colleagues and I on occasion have to work a weekend, we always have Roosters if we are ordering in. The food is amazing and always to a high standard! Thank you for making the weekends working more enjoyable!

Good well cooked grilled chicken. Only let down is a lack of proper restaurant sit down. It is more of a fast-food feel place.

Piri piri is perfect for a quick tasty dinner ! I chose the double lamb kofta wrap with a variety of sauces hot chilli and lebanese garlic sauce quite expensive for a wrap at 10.95 with no sides or drink. Food is delicious but overpriced and not enough portion for myself.

Wondered from the hotel across the road for a quick grab dinner. Checked the Justeat app and ratings looked good. So pleased I went in. Thick and full halloumi wrap with a side salad. Lush 100%

Me and my boyfriend often order Roosters and we are always satisfied with the quality of the product and the delivery service. Will definitely recommend for the quality and price!

Ordered online, came quickly and decent food! Complimentary peri rice as well! Would recommend the wraps.

I order from Roosters maybe once a month or so and this branch always give us a complimentary side or two - none of the other branches do this (they're all franchised). The staff are really welcoming and polite and know exactly how to run a business.

The food and service is the restaurant is great and the chicken is properly marinated before its grilled. Great for eat in or take away.

Staff are very friendly, food is always flavoursome and not dry. I am hooked! a weekly visit always happens. Can not fault this place, portswood one have lessons to learn from this branch

Living a 5/10 minute drive from the restaurant I expected the food to arrive hot and quickly.

Went here for dinner, they say it's fresh but it not freshly cooked, ordered steak but got chicken, the corn was really dry the side salad was bad as well, if you care about what you eat don't eat here, the music was bad I felt like I was in a rap night club. When I read about there other shops it's not good.

The delivery from Roosters last night was impeccable after the driver had got caught in traffic and had phoned me to inform me of the delay.. This i my book is unheard of, so 10/10 to Shab the order was delivered by Shab.!!

We decided that we would go here as to be honest we couldn't be bothered to walk up to Nando's, and to be honest I was glad we didn't as the food was lovely, the service wasn't quick, but to be honest they get bonus marks for saying the piece of chicken was too small and then bringing me another piece to make up for it, the sauce was nice, and the price was good, a great alternative to Nando's

The chicken dishes are delicious but it seems to take ages for food. There are lots of staff so I don't know why it takes too long. This company also uses way too much packaging..

Visited this place Sunday lunch time, food took an age to arrive, we weren’t the only ones left waiting as I could see the tables around us with no food aswell, kitchen staff arguing, just not very professional. Food was tasty when it arrived hence the 2 stars

Had two deliveries in the space of a week as I enjoyed their food so much.

I’m a big fan of this chain, but never quite visited this particular branch. Food was very good, they gave extra chicken for no reason. Very generous. Service was quick. I highly recommend you visit this place! Sometimes a smile and some tasty grilled chicken is all you need halfway through your day! Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Popped in on way back from London. Ordered the sweet potato falafel. Very tasty. They accidentally added the mayo which I had asked without so they gave me two wraps, one with, one without. No extra charge. And no delay! Great choice of sauces for all spicebuds!

As an aficionado of marinated chicken, I have frequented the market leader Nando's many times in the past 10 years. However, no more! Roosters High St is hands down the best value for money chicken joint around.
