We stopped off here for early dinner after a day at Quarry bank mill. We hadn’t pre booked and they managed to fit us in. Friendly service and the food was wonderful! I had rotisserie chicken with the roost special sauce which would highly recommend, absolutely delicious. My husband had a burger which he said was very good. My son had a pizza from the kids menu which was wood fired and great quality. Milk shakes were insanely good!

Beautiful veggie pizzas with generous amount of veg on and nice flavour. Sweet potato fries were great too. Bit chilly in the restaurant but they did try to turn up the heating a notch.

We ate here a few weeks back on our way back from the Xmas lights switch on, food was great so we’re going back tomorrow – finishing the milkshake was a challenge for a 6 year old !

Went on a lunch time, staff were polite and friendly ordered the RFC. When it came sadly we found the chicken to be raw in the middle with a large bloody vein. We asked the waiter over and explained the situation, he had a look, agreed and took it away. He did come back over and offered a fresh one or something else on the menu, but we declined. As previously stated we were in on a lunchtime and the restaurant was very quiet, a couple of tables maximum were in use. To then hear the chef talking very loudly to another waiter that 'we' "obviously do not know how to cook chicken" and "it wasn't raw" was both hurtful and in my opinion very unprofessional. To be fair to Roost it was their second day of opening and they did remove the RFC from the bill. Would we go back? Sadly not very soon. I'm not one to complain, but when I do I feel its justified.

After many years as an empty property (used to be McDonalds) in the last week or so it has finally be re-opened as a "Roost Restaurant" -as the name suggests it's a chicken restaurant but the menu is quite varied: The speciality is rotisserie chicken but they also do wood fired pizza and burgers so very family friendly. Naturally I went for the chicken and had options of different sauces with it as well as with my sweet corn side -it was all washed down with some Pinot Grigio -finger licking good. If I had a gripe it would be that the chicken wing starters were the smallest I have ever had, by far. Thanks to Isabelle for looking after us + all the best!

Would have liked to have given 5 stars... But the cheeky so and so's carpark has sent us a parking charge notice!!!!! We've eaten in pubs and restaurants, all over the country and never ever had to pay for parking, I don't even remember seeing anywhere to pay for parking? We were so pleased with the food that we were going to make it our regular stop when we go to the nearby airport monthly. Well certainly not going to be doing that now!

The most appalling 'meal' and service that I have ever been subjected to. We ordered steak and ale pie and this was brought out to us and placed on our table and described as a pie. However, there was absolutely no pastry, just a bit of gravy in a dish. When I called the waiter back he said 'to be honest, we've ran out of pastry' - are these people for real? To add insult to injury, the manager actually tried to charge us for the pies we never received!!!! Shambolic and not for the first time, but definitely for the last. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!!!!

This place has a vast amount of things for children to play on. However don’t expect to get food quick- they have two cage areas but one is never open and the other has a constant huge queue because the staff take forever! Even if you want drinks you have to queue with the food and last time we queued for 25 minutes! Ridiculous when you have children to supervise and feee!

Average food more like a pub, raw onion in the scotch egg bhaji, bang bang cauliflower poor, fish and chips were tiny and fish dry. So over priced for below average food.
