Had a lovely night out for a birthday meal, staff friendly and attentive Chloe served us, quick service, very tasty food. Only criticism would be nice to have a selection of sauces with the steaks other than peppercorn. Will definitely return.

We visited over lunch time on our travels, we were just passing through. The kids were supplied a colouring/ activity sheet which was a hit. Food and staff were great. We ordered from the lunch menu ‘8 mains for under £8’ the portions were a great size! We will surely visit again when passing.

Usual good meal at Beefeater - uncomplicated, very good service (from Simmone) and good prices. Minor issue with food was dealt with immediately and resolved. Have been several tiomes and will continue to visit.

We were staying at the adjacent Premiere Inn on the edge of Newark and so the Beefeater restaurant was the easiest option for dinner without driving into town. We were greeted in a friendly and helpful way and were seated very quickly. Our waitress was Simmone and she couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, chatting to us as much as the performance of her duties allowed. Our meals were very good indeed, nicely presented, arriving quickly and reasonably priced. We also had two continental breakfast at the restaurant and, again, couldn't fault the quality and value for money.

The staff was Great and always happy to help, the food was amazing and was a reasonable price. Definitely will be going back.

Had dinner here while stopping at the Premier inn and its probably the best beefeater we have ever eaten at. Nothing was to much trouble and the food was amazing. Perfectly cooked steak. Kids enjoyed the breakfast the next day.

Took our daughter here for lunch and wished we hadn't. The food took forever to arrive and when it finally did, it wasn't ours. The next table looked on as we took their food from the server. She duly took it back looking a little upset by the injustice of having to make another journey. My wife and I ordered the pie which did eventually turn up, at least I think they did as we could barely see them on the plates. The server asked if we were happy and I replied that we would be when the rest of the meal arrived. Sadly it was all there however. A tiny pie and twelve chips. Don't even start me off on our daughter's crispy chicken. It's difficult to be crispy when it's swimming in grease. The meals were dreadful, truly awful and very expensive considering one meal was almost inedible and the other two were large starters.

Great customer service, very clean and attention to detail spot on. Nothing was too much bother! Cracking menu with choices for all.

Came for breakfast on Mother’s Day and it was perfect. We did have to book earlier than we had originally planned but glad we did as by the time we left the place was packed out. Excellent food and plenty of it.

Came for mother's day. We had booked the table for 4.30 and we did not get our main till 5.40. I had to go and ask what was taking so long. The staff were so slow coming to collect our plates for us to order our puddings. Will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food wasn't up to much for the money either.

My daughter’s Baby Shower Staff were very accommodating and helpful…so chilled, wait staff very professional and easy to speak to. My daughter loved it… Well done to you all xx

Friendly ,efficient service We co e here regularly and the staff always go over and above to accomodate us. They appear to work in a positive environment which reflects on the atmosphere. Food is always served hot and without delay.

This is the first time I have been to a Beefeater restaurant for some years, and I was pleasantly surprised, the food was excellent, the service was spot on and the ambience was relaxing. The staff, in particular Simmone, were very helpful and friendly, I would definitely go back, and not leave it so long before the next visit!

We had a lovely birthday dinner for my mum with our family. The food was yummy and our service from Mia was fantastic. A special touch, which was such a sweet suprise, was Mia and some of her colleagues singing 'Happy Birthday' when they brought out our desserts. (We did let them know in advance that we had a birthday girl at our table, who it was, and gave them some candles to adorn her dessert) Thank you for making our meal extra special.

Louise&Chris stolen the show. Both adapted wel to the theme. Right now, it's a challenging timeofyear with everything happening-they were a beam of sunniness. Louise was confidant, witty, 'crack'ed a couple of joke about my meal including about the 'crack'ers I ate (this is a cracker joke from me madeup now hehe) get it aha :)-I'm sure she'll get rewarded with the other cracker which is Crimbo cracker by many a guest as present for Xmas Day. Onto a serious note, what I was adoring was how she understood my complex directions including me asking her to take the sliced golden delicious off the tray which she did diligently then asking her to take separately the salt then the pepper whichever way around which she did welmanneredly. Kudos to U dear! Chris was onpoint. He was doing so many things at a single time. The place was upped when he walked through. Each of the guests were having a heck of a time cheers to this gentleman. He appears as if he's been doing this for years&years&years. He sat five people down in a chillaxed way-he didn't waste a v second

Excellent festive meal with plenty of food served piping hot. Friendly staff and our waitress Simmone was very pleasant nothing was too much trouble including taking a photo to send to our friend who couldn’t make the meal due to illness. Was good to be able to use the 33% off voucher too as normally there are exceptions on festive menus.

Came in for Sunday lunch , slight disappointed as they wasn't offering Sunday lunch menu, member of staff didn't catch their name but said they have decided to bring back the Sunday menu from next week. Ordered from the festive menu instead. Food and service was excellent.

Had a lovely meal, although found some plastic in food which was promptly dealt with by our amazing server Simmone. She dealt with the situation very professionally and promptly. Despite this issue I would highly recommend this restaurant as it was quick service and amazing staff.

Often eat here when in Newark either breakfast or evening meal, staff are very friendly & accommodating, atmosphere is lovely, food is good, and if you stay next door at Premier Inn you haven’t got far to go for a good nights kip.

Went for booked Sunday lunch. When we arrived were told there’s no Sunday roast only the Christmas menu. So busy . We had to wait 10 minutes to get to our table. We were in a back room which was about 10% full, so not much atmosphere. The waitress was very friendly but was looking after too many tables spread over more than one room. Meals ok but nothing special. Drinks - one drink missing and one luke warm. Finally was told the discount voucher doesn’t work on the Christmas menu, which I had to order from as no Sunday roast menu. Was told £20 pp was the discount, someone else had the same issues with the voucher earlier. I hadn’t been for years and due to all the little niggles may be another few before I visit again.

Stayed at the hotel next door so popped in for dinner. Service was fine but disappointed with the food, 2 very average meals. Side salad was just chopped iceberg lettuce, nothing else and coleslaw can’t have been more than a teaspoon in size. Chunky chips flavourless and not hot. Wouldn’t rush back.

A more or less unplanned visit, which coincided with us visiting a nearby business. We hadn't booked, and the premises didn't appear overly busy, although it filled up a bit while we were there. We arrived at about 6.15pm. The menu is fairly typical of this type of chain, we chose from the weekday menu, which gives 2 courses for £16.45 (£2 supplement for steak) and a pound or so more if you have 3 courses. The choice appears weighted towards higher calorie options. The food was quite adequate, if unexceptional, but relatively inexpensive. Black sheep bitter (overchilled) £4.20 a pint. A plus point, there is no service charge added to the bill, just as well as this was the worst part of the experience. The staff were perfectly pleasant, but after being shown to a table, and being told someone would take our drinks order, it was over 20 minutes before anyone arrived. Once the order taken, our drinks and food arrived shortly after that. Later, having been brought the bill, we waited 10 minutes for someone to collect payment, in the end we gave up and paid the duty manager at the bar. We didn't complain, but he asked if there had been a problem with service, and we told him. He was apologetic, and one felt that this was sincere.

We came to eat here the night before our company event at Newark. We were served a reasonable meal with lovely waiting staff and ordered drinks etc. We went to the bar at 10.11pm and queued as there were people in front of us being served. When we asked for our drinks we were told the tills etc had been closed down. We had not been told when we paid the bill the bar would also be closed to us. Especially when we waited for two people to be served before getting to the bar. This also happened last year - we won't book again - not after 2 years in a row. 10.11pm isn't late for a beefeater to be open until and when it was mentioned to the premier inn we got the impression it happens often. Maybe people just like to get home early as the manageress didn't seem particularly helpful.

Delicious food and excellent service. Our waitress, Simmone, was extremely helpful and friendly. No problem whatsoever with the parking as there are clear instructions in the car park explaining what to do to register your car when entering the restaurant.
