Rockin Diner in Leicester

Great little burger joint. Lovely food and loads of milkshake flavours to choose from. The staff looked after our group of 6 really well, even moving a table to allow us all to eat together.

Absolutely amazing service brilliant food and so caring even put in some free bees for my lovely colleagues. Would definitely recommend 5 ⭐️

Awesome food served in a great 50’s American diner setting (albeit on the small side as there are only 4 booths) I recommend the Sweet Alabama burger with cheesy chips. One tiny downside is they only serve crinkle chips rather than the usual burger place chips or fries. Be prepared to be disappointed if you wanted ‘normal’ chips or fries.

Food was good. Burgers were okay but could be better. Chips were nice. Shakes where a little expensive and not many tables.

I am American and they had proper friendly American customer service! It felt just like a family owned and operated American restaurant, where the people who work there care about the service, food, and atmosphere they provide. The Burgers are delicious and a fantastic value for it's size, the milkshakes are actually American style milkshakes, and the curly fries are divine! We didn't notice the cash only signs, which was our fault because they are in a few places before you get to ordering, but they were very gracious and helpful in telling us where the cash points were and didn't show any annoyance with us not being prepared with cash. That goes a long way in my book! My wife and I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Rockin Diner!

Food is good quality for a fast food diner and at a great price. Owner was friendly and advised on the meal deal saving me money and getting more food. Food was filling tasty hot and served in good time. If i lived here i would probably be in a lot more.

Great diner with a great menu and the American feel... enjoyed my massive burger... the fire ball fries were good... plus free Slush all round...at the end...

Called in for lunch. Ordered for 4 of us. Reasonable prices. Staff friendly. Food arrived quickly and far nicer than burgers I've had in past at other shops else where. Milk shakes to die for. Will defiantly in nipping in next time I'm in Leicester..if only we had one in Lincoln .

Fab little gem 2 mins drive/8 mins walk away from Leicester city centre. Tiny little American 1950's style diner- red leather booths, chrome bar stools, hub caps, US number plates and guitars on the walls- and of course, a 1950's jukebox. Place is clean and welcoming. Typical (lengthy!) menu of gourmet Burgers, fries, nachos, buffalo wings, burritos etc etc, with sodas and milkshakes at really cheap prices. Big portions, delicious food. Fun meal out for under the price of a McD drive through. Can't beat it.

My dad had a breakfast burger, my husband had a bit dog and I had a cheeseburger. All delicious, hot and tasty, chips were good, milkshake to die for. Very clean, great staff and cool decor... what's not to like!? Well recommended

It was that nice my fussy eater son ordered food for the ride home .. this is a result as he never eats out of town . Hubby loved the fresh food. Very nice atmosphere. Popped in late one night. The staff were very friendly. Menu is very large. There is no table service, so you order, pay and then your food is delivered to your table. My burger and fries were brilliant, very tasty and piping hot. The wife's chicken burger she says was very good, large and filling. We were there about 22:50, the place closes at 23:00 but they did not rush us to close up which was nice. Both staff asked if the food was good, we could not have been happier. A bit pricey for a burger bar.

There's plenty of stuff to like about this place. The decor fits the bill, great music from the 50's, top marks for this. The menu fits the 50's diner theme too. But all is not well... The burger tasted ok, however with the build up you half expect a decent meaty hand made burger. Certainly for the price you might expect it. However it was a fairly standard machined patty that you can get anywhere. So overall this wasn't pulling up any trees. Onto the philly steak sub, this was more pulled beef/shawarma than beef steak. The filling fell out of the bottom. Again the taste was ok but nothing amazing. There was no tasty cheese with it, just American burger cheese and cheese sauce. The overall rating lies somewhere between a 3 and a 4, but closer to a 3. So onto the title of this review. I have a suspicion about many of the reviews attributed to this establishment and I hope I am wrong. It appears as being in the top 20 places regularly in Leicester. I have been to many established places in Leicester that I would rate higher. There are many reviews spanning several months with reviewers who have only done 1 review and given a 5 rating. I would still encourage you to try this place, but I would be careful not to read to much into the overall rating this place has.

The service was good. The food tasted good - and had an "American" flavour to it. The design of the diner also recalled the States of an earlier time.

Went in for some good food but was disappointed. Diner is good and stylish. Staff were friendly. The food wasnt as good as i hoped. It was a bit bland for me. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Popped into Rockin Diner for dinner. Had Burgers & Chips. They tasted amazing. It was decorated with juke boxes & guitars etc. It’s a small place with 4 booths & seating around the edge & you can also come in for takeaway. The staff were friendly & polite. A great little find!

Went here for a quick bite to eat whilst visiting my son. No complaints at all. Food cooked to order. Burgers were delicious & really good chips. Staff were lovley & friendly. Will defo go back here again.

The food was proper nice only thing I can complain about this place is music too loud and unfortunately the sauce was a bit over powering for the burger other than that was top notch.

The food was very tasty, we got the chicken burger and a beef burger and they were the best we have had in Leicester so far! Fries were delicious, especially the fireball fries. Staff even gave us a free slush as it was really warm outside, service was exceptional :) would definitely return.

Out for a few drinks and then went for some food with work friends, couldn’t fault the staff and the food was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to any who visits Leicester. There was nothing to fault. Amazing!

Went to rock in diner for the 100th and my regular burger that tried to order. Ordered it multiple amount of times before. The staff said no this burger was a mistake and can’t be made. Told him you made this burger before so all of a sudden you can’t make it. His reply was sorry. What made me baffled after was when he turned around to his co worker and spoke in Urdu “I can’t be asked to make this guys order”. What kind of service is this? Turned to him and said look pal you may change your language but I’m still understanding this. Rubbish service. DONT GO!!!!!!!!!

I've been here several times. Portions are huge, but I mean really HUGE. Burgers are always nicely done to perfection, their shakes are best ones in Leicester and probably in Midlands too. Interior? It's gorgeous! Exactly like in the USA. Once you come in, you are in the USA in 60'. This includes music from that era too. It's really hidden gem in Leicester.

Delicious, super fast service and friendly staff. I couldn't have asked for better food or service. I would have taken a photo but I couldn't resist when I saw the food and scoffed it down! It's one of my new favourite places to eat.

Rockin diner do the best ice creams, service is on point and very welcoming. The ice cream was soo creamy, just as good as their milkshakes!

I've tried the burgers here and they have never disappointed me with a good range of sauces. It was my first time trying the milkshakes here and I must say it was divine! The staff here are very friendly and they have complimentary slush - the cherry on top.

It is difficult to find places to eat which get the balance right between cleanliness, pricing and foods available but I think this restaurant mimics real expectations of a diner with budget-friendly meals. Definitely recommend.

I had a nice day out with some friends and I was starving. I’ve visited rockin diner before many times so I knew that this was the place that would definitely fill me up, with their massive portion sizes. I love it. Hearty, comfy food especially with the eccentric interior with guitars on the ceilings and funky music. The staff are amazing same as always. Especially the guy who I think is the manager, the chef and the cute little guy who served me last time he’s a very good host. Thought it quite funny towards the end as I got offered a free milkshake. I’ll take you guys up on the offer next time I come!

My partner and I visited the diner in November 2017. We were greeted by extremely rude staff who served us what can kindly be described as unsatisfactory. It may be dirt cheap, but there's too much emphasis on "dirt".

The decor is retro with guitars glistening from the ceilings to the sound of the ultimate classic, Elvis that can be heard blurring from the quaint Jukebox. All the ingredients to create a nostalgic American feel. The sensational sides and magnificent mains are delightfully delicious. Not to mention the wide array of milkshakes and Desserts and the impeccable hospitality that contribute into making, Rockin Diner a truly exceptional experience.

Nice little place with amazing food. The veggie burger was one of the best I've had. The curly fries and milkshake were just as amazing! Everyone in our group was super full and satisfied. It's a bit small with 4 booths and window bar seating, and I imagine it must fill up during peak hours, but it wasn't a problem when we went. Will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again!

Never received my order at all after waiting over 3 hours!! Very disappointed as I was really looking forward to it after having so many bad experiences with other takeaways.

Mushroom steak fries are amazing. New guilty pleasure, and rockin diner will likely become our go-to takeaway!

Great food, the cheese burger had a tasty twist with salami between the prime beef patties, the fries also had great seasoning.Salman the proprietor was friendly and keen to how I enjoyed the food.You can't go far wrong here.

Ordered from here a few times without leaving a review so it's high time I did. The food is always on point whether you order a delivery or go into the diner. last time I ordered for collection but got there last there closing time. Salman, the bloke at the counter, actually kept the place open for me for around ten minutes. He was friendly and more than polite about it, he didn't even mention the inconvenience.
