Roasters in Scarborough

Noone was in the cafe when we came in. Yet we arrived to dirty tables. We took a seat on a clean table and looked through the menu which offers some great choices. We ordered 2 jacket potatoes with chilli and a chorizo and mozzarella bagel. Meals came with fresh salad and the best coleslaw I've ever eaten! You have to order at the counter. Which was ok. And the lady was very friendly. The only downside was that despite on ourselves and one other lady being in the cafe. Noone checked our food was ok or came to clear plates and check how everything was. The later option would have been better for this kind of cafe. But just felt like we were left with dirty plates. Staff were friendly. Just need to make more of an appearance. But thank you for some amazing food.

Best delivery breakfast so far in lockdown tried a few places but gotta give this a 5* warm,delicious and would recommend to anyone !! Only down fall is I ordered bang on dinner time when they were busy so took about a hour but I ain’t gunna cry over it keep it up ladies and gents who work there !! Would recommend the sausages !!

Well I’m going to start off by saying how over priced this place is! £30 order and the only decent thing was my burger which was £10.45 there was just no care in the order £5 for some topped fries that aren’t even tasty or even seasoned! We haven’t even touched them! I also got the prawn and egg with mayo for starter just tasted like a bland mess! The boiled eggs where still warm then cold prawns on top?? 🤦🏼‍♂️ The delivery driver was spot on tho! AVOID! Will not be going again.

A lockdown treat. We ordered coffees and lunch, which was delivered out to East Ayton for £2.50 within 45 minutes. The coffee was wonderful and the burgers and jacket potato had all the trimmings which you would get in the cafe. Thanks a lot, Roasters, you were the highlight of the day

I am a regular user of Roasters and I am never disappointed. The staff are lovely every time and the food is unreal (especially the breakfasts!) I would 100% recommend Roasters to anyone

Finally after waiting 25 minutes for a toasted ciabatta with a basket of french fries which we pride extra for and a bacon sandwich it came, it had never seen a ciabatta was just a toasted bread bun with a bit of side salad and a few french fries. The latte was undrinkable and a lot more expensive that high street coffee shops. My husband’s food and coffee was passable but definitely wouldn’t go again.

Roasters was our favourite café in Scarborough, where we used to live 8 years ago. We went back on holiday last week and is was great to see that it’s still there and that it remains awesome! Tasty coffee, nice décor, excellent music and delicious breakfast. The ladies are extremely nice and they make the best pancakes :) oh, do try the dates scones, they are sooo good!! Thank you Roasters for all the happy, tasty memories!

Called in just for coffee but decided to have a bite to eat. We ordered cheese on toast which turned out to be two thick slices of delicious bread with plenty of cheese on EACH! It was a bigger snack than we expected! The cheese was not very strong tasting but with HP Sauce it was great. Next time we will share one portion unless we are really hungry.

Small choice. Bought-in cakes. Decent range of coffee and other drinks. Nomproper meals. Cramped when busy.

Went here with my dad to get out of the rain and glad we did. We only had a latte, which was very good and comes with a biscuit. There is plenty of choice on the menu with very decent prices and the service is good, with a smile. I'm glad I found this place and my dad and I will be going back, this time to sample the food. I'd definitely recommend this cafe and it's not a chain which I like.

Mozzarella, tomato and red pesto panini, pancakes with fruit, couple of drinks, nice piece of locally made vegan Chocolate, cherry and marshmallow cake. £17 pretty decent price for what we had.

Stopped here as they had plenty of seating outside which was great for my husband who is a wheelchair user, coffee and service were great.

Have visited Roasters many times favouring the independents rather than the national chains for my coffee. Recently refurbished in nice contemporary colours. Never disappointed, proper coffee served in the correct way. Have also eaten here and recommend the paninis particularly. Friendly knowledgeable staff and will definetely return. Recommended.

Popped in here a couple of times while staying in Scarborough. Excellent service, polite staff and very reasonable price. They do lunch as well as just drinks and all are of a high quality. Highly recommended

Great coffee, great staff, one of my favourite places to sit halfway through a shop. Just be aware of the Seagulls who have also seen it as one of their favourite spots.

The coffee was quite nice, but not the best in Scarborough. The cakes were run of the mill and expensive for what they were. We didn't visit a second time, despite having the cafe recommended to us.

Lovely staff a decent cup of coffee although I asked for a smaller cup we were charged the same price for my husbands larger one. There are nice treats available too.

For light meals, or a relaxing coffee break, you can't do better than visit Roasters. It is a small cosy venue that has a wonderful atmosphere. The quality of the food is outstanding, as is the value. The staff are friendly and most helpful.

Not the greatest space downstairs. Prob best coffee in scarb but to be honest the competition is woeful so far. Trawling the pages on here so will visit others on here. It's decent. Next visit will wander upstairs
