Riverside Diner in Southampton

Me encanta este café donde comimos varias veces. El lugar está muy limpio, el personal es muy amable y servicial y la comida es genial, siempre caliente, recién cocinado y abundante. No te decepcionarás.

Nice, clean, affordable traditional cafe on the triangle. Has a good range of breakfasts from the belly buster down to a nice small breakfast for a reasonable priced £3.30. Friendly, efficient staff and a cosy atmosphere.

My first visit since before Christmas 2020. The Riverside Diner is an option for Mondays when the excellent Miss Ellie's in Bitterne Triangle is closed. I'm a man of simple tastes - a sausage sandwich and tea - but the Riverside Diner has often struggled. The quality of their produce is absolutely dire - the sausages have never seen a pig and I would feel guilty feeding them to a dog. It's stupid penny-pinching for a place that is not even that cheap.

Covid 19 is reducing this great local diner to offer exceptional service to the community. It was sad when they put themselves out and offered a take away service and hardly any of this community supported themselves and diner. In fact I was the last person to have a great take away. Since reopening..and not at work, I come in order my freshly cooked breakfast an eat it at home. Today 22/12/2020 @ 13.00 hrs I came and had a lunch. Food, Service, Cleanliness and Safety are all great. Can only say thank you to the diner and hope that if some restrictions are put in place. The community support a request to save a great diner and safeguard its future. If take aways are all permitted to offer then come in and get them. Very Best Wishes for.your future Riverside diner. Visité el 14 por primera vez desde que abrió después del cierre. Quedé muy impresionado con sus pantallas de protección Covid y su solicitud a los clientes del nombre y número de contacto para el rastreo de Covid. Como de costumbre, la comida era excelente y todo el lugar estaba impecable. Me alegra que hayan sobrevivido al encierro y me alegro de seguir apoyándolos.

Solo fui a almorzar con la familia. Se quedó parado en la puerta como inconsciente de las políticas de distanciamiento social. Finalmente nos sentamos. Seleccionamos nuestras comidas. Luego noté que era solo en efectivo, así que fui a cobrar el dinero y regresó y el pedido aún no se había tomado, discutiendo que era tranquilo y con mucho personal. Finalmente le pregunté si era servicio de mesa o pedido en el bar. (Nos sentamos al lado de la caja registradora) sin reconocimiento del personal o una sonrisa (que en este punto habría recorrido un largo camino) los niños pidieron tarta de manzana. No, ninguno. Luego ordené helados de chocolate. Nooe tampoco de entonces. Tuve que cambiar el tenedor de mi hijo x 2 ya que ambos estaban sucios. Sin disculpas del personal. La comida era buena. El servicio tenía mucho que desear. Dejémoslos caer mal. No será devuelto.

Visited the diner for breakfast with hubby today and it was Reassuring to see safety measures where in place COVID wise with screen up at counter and between each table.i selected a small diner and hubby has a bigger one with two of everything on it but it wasn’t the biggest one on the menu! No grease on the plate and food looked really nice and presented well and was hot too. in fact the worst thing was the strength of the tea (just ask them to leave the bag in) and they forgot my hubby’s bread and butter but that said we was impressed with the cleanliness of the place and would encourage you to give it go

Sadly the Riverside Diner is not as good as it has always been. The prices have gone up which would be fine except that the quality has gone down. The sausage and bacon are not the same quality, the bacon was quite hard. The service wasnt as good as usual either. Very sad as this has always been great food and great value. We hope this is just a glitch..

Lovely hot food and roast dinner everyday. Excellent value for money and a great choice of menu. Will definitely be back.

Love the roast dinners here. Amazing prices. Great home-cooked food. Also a range of breakfast/brunch choices and specials. Much easier than cooking for myself :)

The standards I would say are terrible regarding the staff like false Nails and False eyelashes. Surely it shouldn't be worn if in catering or hospitality???

I ordered the brunch, but as I don't like eggs I asked if I could swop them for something else. I was offered only beans or tomatoes instead, but I already had beans and didn't want tomatoes. They completely refused to swop for anything else. I pointed out that 2 eggs costs £1.20, and I would swop for 1 hash brown, costing £0.70. Still a complete refusal. I even pointed out that it made no sense whatsoever, but I could not get them to change their minds. Absolutely ludicrous. I like to support small local businesses, but they have driven me back to Wetherspoons where I know they will be more accommodating. Unfortunately, you have lost me as a customer due to your exceptionally poor customer service.

Pleasant staff,c lose to buses and river. Only ever had the Spanish omelette, which was pretty good.

Breakfast took between 20 40 mins to to turn up with 1 of our group having finished his breakfast well before anybody else’s turned up. A long wait!

Riverside diner' located in bitterne triangle southampton is a very friendly cafe run by a variety of female staff. with a selection of breakfasts on the menu.. the riverside special. the mighty. the Almighty. the vegetarian. and others to mention.. plus the usual hot & cold sandwiches. hot & cold drinks. and main meals. located a few yards from Riverside park with summer just around the corner a visit to this cafe is a must" have a meal, stroll' through the park" watch the swans.. and gather your thoughts

price is ok , had a mega breakfast found it very bland very little taste i gave it 3.8 out of 10 , the wife had a vegetarian mega breakfast she rated it 6 out of 10
