Rich's Farmhouse Cider in Sedgemoor

We were very impressed with both the service and quantity / quality of the food. Kjerst looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. This was our first visit but our friends had visited previously, we would certainly recommend and shall be visiting again.

Best carvery around!! We visited here today on a flying through visit and we was not disappointed. The carvery was absolutely top quality, the veg was perfectly cooked, the meat was lovely and tender, although they plate it up for you they was not stingy with the portions size. If I had to have 1 complaint it would be the Yorkshire puddings were a bit doughy, but that is pulling at strings. The staff were lovely and attentive even though it was extremely busy and they was short staffed. Definitely will be returning soon and will be a must stop whenever we are in the area again.

Booked for lunch with my son and had the carvery. Lots of food, well cooked and the staff were very attentive. A busy place, even at lunch on a Wednesday, a nice buzz and well worth a visit. They take BlueLightCard too!!!

Last Sunday visit was very busy and the staff were understrength (there’s a lot of flu about) But this made no difference. We all had the Carvery and it was great. Really nice food, the beef I had was so tender. I couldn’t manage a sweet but there others did and all enjoyed. I really liked the Brixton Pale Ale, not being a cider drinker. Great food and great value. Compliments to you all.

The staff and food were amazing, burger was stunning, my partner had jacket potatoe, everything was fresh hot and good portions. The staff were attentive and did not stop cleaning everywhere someone would touch..it was a fantadtic experience and well worth a visit

I've thought long and hard about reviewing the restaurant because the lady who served us was lovely...unfortunately the breakfast wasn't. Here's an honest review of our experience. First the good. The restaurant is lovely - clean, comfortable non crowded seating and the waitress was an absolute pleasure to meet. We ordered the full English and I requested the bacon to be well done and white bread toast. Here's what came out. The toast wasn't toast - not by any stretch of the imagination. There was no sign it had been introduced to a grill let alone put under it. It was just like stale bread and as difficult to cut. I thought at first I'd been served bread and butter. The mushrooms were fine, very nice and hot as were the hash browns. The sausages were cold and pink inside and lukewarm at best. I did ask if they'd been cooked and after being assured they were I could find no evidence they had. No sign of any browning at all, so can only think that if they were cooked it was on a radiator. We opted for poached eggs...oh dear.....lots of gooey uncooked egg white. The bacon...the bacon was cooked okay...in places!! Unfortunately not the rind which was completely raw. Which was disappointing after I'd specifically asked for it to be well done. I've not made any 'assumptions' (as I believe that doesn't make a good review) but explained factually what we were served and will leave readers to conclude how they wish, but for the money it was dreadful. You can charge top dollar but need to serve top dollar food and nobody will complain - after all, we know the prices before we order. This was very poor value for what it was & it's unlikely I'll ever return. (Especially given we'd both asked for well done bacon and were totally ignored). I would like to reiterate that the lady who served us was wonderful and after I spoke to her about the food she did give me a discount. (And handled my observations well). Lastly, I'm told the Sunday Roast is delightful and can only assume they have a different chef for that.

Appreciated it was a busy time but a small table was available. We had coffee which was very weak. I had an Americano, wishy washy with a hair floating on the top. We only wanted a light lunch so opted for toasted sandwich. I had cheese and onion (chutney), lacking in cheese and far too much chutney. Shame as otherwise nice flavour. Staff in restaurant and shop friendly. Slightly disappointed but will try again when quieter.

Kjerst looked after our team’s Christmas party and took great care of us. We had a great afternoon and enjoyed the food - thank you for a great time

Lovely food and fantastic service. We have a super fussy family when it comes to food and our waitress Kjerst managed everyone’s requests with humour and tolerance - thank you for a lovely breakfast!

The location is unique in that it is a working cider farm, with a fabulous restaurant and a gem of a shop all combined into one place! My 3 year old enjoyed watching the machines working and the rest of the family loved the food. The carvery was top class, and unlike some carveries that you can go to in no way don’t feel disappointed by either the portions or the quality! The chef was charming and the waiting staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was a really pleasant place to spend time and I really appreciated the kids play area. The shop after was full of classy products that make for nice presents or treats for yourself. Overall, I’d say great value, great quality, and if I were local I’d visit regularly.

Fantastic Sunday Carvery. The restaurant was very busy but our two waitresses were excellent ( Charlotte and Holly). They were helpful, attentive and cheerful. The carvery was very well stocked and the small plate was definitely big enough for myself. My husband had the 2 meat plate but you could upgrade to a 3 meat plate! There was a choice of at least 6/7 vegetables and you could have them all as well as roast potatoes, bubble and squeak and Yorkshire puddings. The service at the carvery was very good and the staff were helpful. A good choice of desserts too. The still dry cider was excellent and very good value at £2.00 for half a pint. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I came here for breakfast, very nice..We always come back again and again..The service is always good staff friendly and approachable

Accepting this was very busy - we had our main meal after about 25 mins - 4 carvery's and 2 menu meals. we did get more or less at the same time, almost. we did not have starters. we had to vacate the table despite having desert orders - and had to consume outside!!!!! Not very warm but at least dry. Point is what if we had starters as well.. and also the queue for the carvery is long. if you are going impose a 90 minute table allowance perhaps there should be A table service so all meals come together so patrons can all eat at the same time as B if is 'dished up' anyway. For the price and a canteen atmosphere, not a great experience. on a positive- all the young staff were exceptional.

90 minutes is not long enough for a 3 course lunch with 6 at the table. We were made to eat our deserts outside and it was very cold. Put us off going again

Fabulous carvery lunch yesterday. Sat under the canopy. Served by sean/Shaun who was a delight & a credit to you. Happy, smiley, attentive service. Choice of 4 meats on the carvery with all the trimmings. Fast service on the carvery. Well done. Fantastic cider shop too. Recommend booking for Sundays

The restaurant is easy to find, is comfortable and has a good atmosphere. Our booking was peak time so 10-out-of-10 to the busy staff for excellent and friendly service throughout. The menus have something for everyone and the food is well presented, very tasty and fairly priced. All in all Rich's Cider restaurant is perfect for general dining or a special occasion. Definitely a go-to.

Very good carvery and chicken gougons need a bigger selection though because I found the menu a bit boring and It would be nice to have more on the childern menu

Excellent food and service. We were invted by some of our friends who live nearby. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Friendly knowlegeable staff..always happy to help. We had a splendid dinner ( i had the succulent soft beef ) and sampled some of their great ciders. Couldn't have asked for a nicer afternoon tbh. We also visited their well stocked farmshop and bought some of home produced cider....really nice. Would definitel go there again and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

We didn't book but the helpful staff managed to get us a table for 2, very polite and friendly staff, I had vegetarian carvery and my partner had the normal one, it was a gorgeous meal, very tasty, full marks from us.

Absolutely awful we were seated outside (fair enough) the seats were damp and some were wet. By the time we got our food from the carvery to the table it was barely warm and being outside it went cold with in minutes! I ordered a small meal of vegetables only…. My meal consisted of 2 parsnips 1 roast potato a teaspoon of mashed swede 1 piece of broccoli and 1 piece of cauliflower in cheese sauce with 3 pieces of carrots for which I was charged full price. All the party complained how bland and tasteless the food was. Definitely not impressed and ruined my granddaughters 21st

We visited this place twice last week during our stay at Haven. We came across here on our way to the site as I wanted to get some local cider.
