We go to this hotel regularly, every couple of months for a few nights. The staff are wonderful, warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble(borrowing an iron, a fan and breakfast in my room when I didn't want to go down,due to back problems). The choices for breakfast are good,but dinner in the evening is AMAZING! The menu is Indian cuisine, freshly cooked when you order, and prepared by an Indian chef,using all fresh ingredients. The lamb shank dish is falling off the bone and the food so delicious that we ordered a takeaway dinner on the day we left. Amazing food( the best I've had outside of India!).

We ate in the restaurant on the 5 nights it opens- Tuesday to Saturday. There is a good choice of food starters, mains & desserts all freshly prepared and nicely served by friendly staff. We enjiyed all the items we had & the wine was good too. You can also visit the Hat & Lemon bar for drinks and cocktails.

The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Saturdays. We ate here on 5 nights. Some evenings were busier than others. There was plenty of food choice- starters, mains & desserts and we chose somehting different each evening. Meals were freshly prepared and nicely served. The food was good as was theglass of wine we had each evening. There is also plenty of choice of drinks and cocktails in the Hat or Lemon Bar.

We decided to try this restaurant. It’s only been open a couple of months. We were the only ones there when we walked in, and when we left (after sending the food back), only two other tables had customers. We both ordered the lasagne.It came with greens and garlic bread. My husband dug into his lasagne…and came up with a big piece of plastic wrap! He had only had two bites. That means that the lasagne was NOT fresh, it was in the freezer or refrigerator and just stuck in a microwave to be warmed up. I didn’t touch my lasagne. The manager offered to give us something else and not charge us, but we opted to leave and go elsewhere instead.

Fabulous food and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Dog friendly. Lovely outside seating area too for sunny days. Highly recommend.

2-2a The ParadeThe Powder Monkey (Wetherspoons) in Exmouth is a great venue. The food is really good and inexpensive. The staff are friendly but service can be a frustratingly slow when staff are doing other things.

Fore StreetWe had a comfortable stay at the Anchor room was clean ... adjoining bathroom also. We had dinner and breakfast the following morning. Nothing terrible to say but with an almost perfect situation on the seafront at Beer ... it could be more. So four stars for being 'OK'.... for having friendly staff and being a nice refuge from a wet and windy night! Here's a few thoughts on what would have made it a 5 star review!! Food .... I've eaten here a few times over the years... you could describe the fare as "Wetherspoons Plus" the usual breaded fish, chicken and burgers, probably what most people prefer but with fresh locally caught fish on sale within 100 meters it would be so nice to see one or two offerings that reflect that. Wine ... perfectly nice pinot Grigio but at around £25.00 per bottle it's a bit on the steep side. Breakfast additional to room price at £12.00 with a choice of continental or cooked ok. Accommodation. Very nice large bath. The shower gel dispenser awkwardly sited away from the shower unit and too high to reach in the bath!! Bathroom door hinges had a "Halloween " grade creak... not what you want if you use the bathroom in the small hours! Resorted to smearing some shower gel on the hinges which fixed the problem but really ...you don't get rusty hinges like that in one day... Bedroom: Comfortable with a good view of the beach and sea. TV only has freeview. No welcome pack to be seen. Tea and coffee OK. So overall a nice place to stay. The menu could be more interesting and some aspects of the accommodation need a bit of attention to detail.
